It is pouring here today so I pulled my Carolina Herrera satchel. What are you carrying today?
I like this bag!
TBH, yes, the lock is finicky. I find the Kelly a bit more fussy than a Chanel Reissue (don’t have any classic Chanel’s but I’m thinking it’s the same thing). It is kind of a pain to strap the whole bag up. A lot of ladies here just do the turnlock and don’t bother with the sangles — and I do this too sometimes — but then you do have to be careful not to overload the bag, because if you do that a lot, the turnlock can bend over time. I guess the flip side is if you travel with a Kelly all strapped up, you won’t ever get pickpocketed,!

But each and every Kelly is different. My red one is pretty stiff because it’s smaller (size 32 so not super small) and Box. The Barenia is a lot easier — the sangles are super soft and floppy and the whole bag is more pliable. I expect a pebbled leather like Togo would soften up nicely as well, and I’ve seen photos of preloved bags in Swift leather that were so soft they wouldn’t stand up on their own! So that factors in, but generally speaking, getting in and out of a Kelly is more of a process than with most other bags!
Thanks for the info!!

Happy Mother’s Day to those of us celebrating it (in Asia and Canada, I think?). I carried my Lady for a date with DH. Here she is with a Thomas Pink scarf on.

We went all out and booked these lavish “Gold Class” cinema seats with recliners and in-theater dining. The tickets are 4x the price of ordinary movie tickets, which I found crazy at first but I ended up loving the experience. You waltz right into the lounge with no queueing involved. When seated, you can browse the light up menus and press the call button for the waiter to come take your order. The food was amazing. It was fun watching The Avengers snuggled up in a blanket while munching on truffle fries and sipping on Pinot Noir! I always want to watch movies like this now.

Randomly. I had no idea they were resting Gold, that's huge news.

Wow, you had 3!!!???

If the bag was Etoupe would you prefer it? I have a theory that H lovers are divided into Etoupe neutrals and Gold neutrals, hardly ever both.

If you have a RH GP too and you always go for the RH it's understandable. I have the very same 2 colour Bolides (also same size). Gold came first and still gets 10 x more wear but I knew that would be when I bought the RH - it was always partly a 'collector' bag. If I thought meh about the RH I would def sell it. It's my posh Bolide (do US people know what posh means?)
I put my hand up for the Etoupe camp of Etoupe vs Gold. I drool over your RH Bolide. I have an Etain Bolide, one of my favourite bags. Your Bolide pics are all amazing.

Who else here has/had 3 (or 3 +) same bags? Please say how you arrived at multiples.

There only 2 models of bags I have 3 of. Interestingly both were first designed more than 70 years ago.

H Bolide. I have 3, 2 x 35s and a travel size Web. The travel size is prob closer to the original of 1923. They are basically the only H bag I thought I'd ever want besides a Black Box Kelly. I was partly right, except I'm glad I have the other models too but Bolides are so easy in all respects. Can't think of another to add except as I said to go exotic. They are prob more 'me' than a Kelly but then I've always been drawn to rounded bags.

Gucci BTH are my signature bags (and also rounded). I have 2 Large and one Med. The large is actually closer to the original size. When I wear them I feel like myself and I know what I'm doing with them. Like Bolides they stay organised inside and they also have hand-friendly handles as well as detachable shoulder straps. The bamboo handles are cool in the Summer and warm-up in the Winter. My med is a Bamboo Bold and was always going to be more formal but they always look both a little bit fancy and tough. Like Bolides too, you can dress them up if you want but the design is actually really strong on its own.
I don’t have any triplets. My duplicates are 2 Reissue 226s. I researched the Reissue for a long time, what size, what colour, what hardware, what leather, etc. I put my name on a list for a black one with ruthenium hardware at my home boutique. We had February holidays in Scottsdale, Arizona. I popped my head into a boutique and fell head over heels in love with a raspberry red Reissue 226. There were no black Reissues with RHW to try on. I made myself leave empty handed so I could think it over, I was anticipating buying a black one at home. I took a couple of days and returned to buy the red one. I was so happy, I wore her everywhere. In August of the same year, I got the call to pick up my black Reissue 226. I wear my black one more frequently and it is one of my favourites. The red one still gets wore frequently and I am thankful to have both.

Threesomes:
I have four trims (at one time I had 6) My size is 31. It is the easiest bag in the world to carry!
I have three Kellys (Rouge H 28 sellier, BBK 32 retourne, gold chamonix 32 sellier) The most gorgeous bag ever, that's why. LOL
I probably need a BTH.
Your Trims and Kellys are to die for!

Here you go .... I really need to take a good group shot. Speaking of bags that are most loved but least used, my red Kelly falls into that category. It only gets used once or twice a year, but I love it too much to sell!

Wow, what a pampering experience!

+34...40 deg C here, full steam heading into summer, but i don't complain, as i can't stand the cold AT ALL!
stocked up on sun creams with SPF 50 and above, this year i am trying La Roche Posay, they have portable ones, handy for travels and vacs, and what do you use? those, who will travel, what bags do you plan to take along?
I just got back from a girls’ trip to Nashville - I brought Longchamp Le Pliage, Gucci Soho Disco and Chanel WOC.

Checking in after a while. I've sold a bunch of bags, shoes, clothes, and jewelry. I have such a light feeling after letting go of it. There's more space in my closet, so as a result I can find things easily which decreases overall stress.
Congratulations on your thorough purge, increased space and decreased stress.

Here’s the Antigona. It’s a colbalt in the light but for some reason photographed dark. I think I really like this bag. Need to carry and see how it feels
It’s lovely, congratulations on your Antigona!

I love the Reissue as well, and have the same black 226 with Ruthenium HW. Have you posted a pic of the red one? I’d love to see it.

I’m carrying the Kate Spade bag I got for Christmas from DBF’s Mom! We went out yesterday so I figured I should carry it when she sees me [emoji23]

I used this Coach floral charm which matched it perfectly! I then lucked out and got a htf charm from LV yesterday and wore that charm today!

I’m so lazy to watermark to post pictures [emoji28]

I love the Caroline Herrera brand. I went to the outlet store for CH and loved the clothing! So modest yet not frumpy! But too formal for my workplace. There was this fantastic leather suitcase too, but I couldn’t. And dog accessories!! I should go back for things for Bella.

Regarding the multiples, I have quite a few in my closet because I’m a hoarder and the “cheaper by a dozen” type. [emoji16] although that’s never true when it comes to designer handbags. I’m just too lazy and usually stick to the tried and true style and maybe too loyal to be good. Veteran members here may already saw my collection and saw how redundant it could be. [emoji4]

I’m still in my Marni trunk bag today. I think I’m using it too much and may have to change out soon. [emoji28]

Sounds like the red was meant to be too

I hope this is a pointer to the future, so interesting. We have nothing like that here (yet)
