Bought this hooded Burberry trench for chilly and rainy autumn days from summer sale. My Sandringham trench works like a rain coat - only downfall is it doesn't have a hood. This one has it but the fabric is not fully water repellent. I thought it was. However, it does fit like a glove and is absolute gorgeous... On the other hand, I already have quite many jackets from Burberry.

Any suggestion whether to keep it or not?
If it fits really well I'd be tempted to keep it, and it sounds like you love it so I vote for keep!

I have a coat like this from Burberry too! But mine repels water, I wear it when it rains.

So if you don't have a hooded coat, keep.
If you don't have a navy coat, keep.

But this advice comes from someone with 4 Burberry coats, so some grains of salt will be needed. [emoji23]

Though to be honest I am quite happy with the bags I already bought this year and can't think of anything I really would want good bag wise. How are you all feeling?

I bought a lot this year. But so far, I'm loving everyone of them, except one, which although I like the look, it doesn't fit my life well. I'm lucky that she's going off to a new home soon. :)

Aside from that, this is another good year. I flew pass my limit, but I'm very happy with my new purchases. I'm trying to be better for the later half of the year then. [emoji28]

How often do you think you can wear this per year. If you think quite often keep it. It is not a look that goes out of style.

You really bought some gorgeous bags this year.

It's the weekend. Hurray! I was swamped after that long vacation.

I was in the Fendi again today. I was running late and didn't have time to change this morning. But, I'm looking forward to using some fun bags this weekend. I can't wait to take my new silver Dior out to play.

What plans does everyone have for the weekend and what great bags will you take along?

Laundry. [emoji16]

I'm just back from my trip last night and have to put tings back to normal by tomorrow morning so I'll leave for work on the afternoon.

No bags this weekend. ;)

Thanks for your input.

I don't have a hooded trench.
I don't have a navy coat.

I can shake off water from my Sandringham (made of cotton gabardine). This is just cotton. I tested and it didn't tolerate as much water as cotton gabardine.

But I do have already
2 wool winter trench
1 Sandringham trench
1 hooded short trench rain coat (this is paper thin - doesn't keep you warm)
1 short blazer trench
All from Burberry.
+ bunches of other coats because we have 4 seasons here and winter time is often freezing (-25C/77 F)

It's always drop dead hard to make a decision between what you need and what you want. :-s
I want to keep it but I don't need it because it isn't made of cotton gabardine.

Burberry jackets are wonderful and great investment prices. But they aren't rare. So, if I were you, I'd wait til I found one with all the characteristics I wanted. In this case it seems like water resistant / repellant is important to you. I'm sure a navy hoods version will come around soon.

Good question. To be honest, not much, maybe max.10 wear per year as of now unless I downsize my wardrobe again on outerwear part but that would be solely throwing money away because I don't have any non-functional coats left. I have put all trendy coats for sale or donated them already.

On the other hand, it's very hard to find a hooded trench by Burberry from the sales in work appropriate colour. It doesn't go out of style and I can wear it more often after 5 years when some of my coats are worn out. After 5 years Burberry might have increased their prices many times more and it'd be hard for me to consider buying a basic trench coat for $5k... I do remember buying a down jacket for 1/3 prices of nowadays' prices 5 years ago. If they increase prices at the same speed, this coat would cost at least $3k. :p
