2017 resolution - shopping my own bag and wallet collection. Any one else?

I just realized why I rarely wear my Henry Bendel backpack despite loving it's size and configuration. It has a satin lining. Ever since I was a teenager I did not like the touch of these silky materials that others enjoy. Do you have any weird things that bug you?

Well, I sold my last bag I've had a mini clear out of stuff over the last few weeks, but this last bag has been more hassle than everything else put together. I nearly gave up, so many people emailing but not bidding, and generally being a PITA, and then unbelievably, mailing me offering more money if I cancel the winning bidder! I think I doubled the size of my blocked buyers list on this one
Anyway, flush with funds, I shopped my wardrobe, and this scarf arrived today which I bought on consignment last week - coincidentally, (given recent discussion) it's pink/orange! I bought it just for the colours and I love it

This color is stunning. I wish I could do scarfs. I can't touch silk or satin because my hands are always so dry from constantly washing them to make sure they are paint free. I am so enjoying seeing these artistic pieces. I have a couple that were given as gifts but they are rarely worn.

Oh, that's a pity. I get dry hands too, I slather on hand cream at night and I find it helps

Thanks it went at a great price (for the buyer!) but she loves it, and I didn't want it, so it's a good result. No more eBaying for me for a while, thank goodness. Oh I'm just thrilled with the scarf, I've got a navy blazer I haven't worn much yet and it looks so good with it that I know I'll reach for it more.

I'm iffy about nylon zips. I don't know why, they work perfectly well, I never had one break that I can remember, but they put me off. I do like a bag to have metal zips inside and out

donno if it's weird... the touch of polyester and faux fur, makes me itch and scratch like crazy, can't wear it next to my skin
