You make me jealous of coat culture. [emoji16] Even though it rains so hard here, wearing coat will get you stared at so hard it hurts. I had to let go of a very cute semi-transparent lavender coat on sale a couple years ago despite liking it so much (see how I still remember it after all these years?) I know I just don't have a use for it. [emoji20]
LOL. But too bad you can't wear all the coats you love =(

Question for everyone. Do you ever resist buying a bag you love because you purchased a similar one for a much lower price? This could be for any reason: you bought before price increases, on sale, preloved, etc.?

I'm coming clean on my struggle with the black tote. This is why I haven't bought despite having an idea I needed one since I sold my Dior tote last June. I purchased my Chanel beige/black tote in truly excellent condition for only 14% of the retail price because I stumbled across an eBay auction that didn't rise as it should have (the seller didn't describe it or photograph it well.) So, when I sent the bag in and the authenticator verified it, I felt like I won the lottery!

Fast forward to now. Logically, I know lightening won't strike a second time. But, I'm (unrealistically) anchored by the price I paid for the bag I have. And suddenly "reasonably" priced Chanel totes (well, as reasonably priced as we can ever say they are) look like brazen highway robbery.

So, I'm curious. Have you ever gotten anchored by a serendipitous, low priced purchase you made? Do you talk yourself out of the box or do you let that be the new benchmark?
Yes, I do. I've noticed that ever since I found my beloved LV lockit and especially that Speedy for a steal, it's getting harder and harder to plunk out some serious dough for some bags. I used to buy without comparing, but I'm definitely comparing now. It's not a bad thing 'cuz it's saving me some money haha. But now, sticker shock is something I have to overcome haha.

Ladies, what shall we do next, when we finish the colours??
I suggest, supporting "shopping own closet" project we wear old bags (the ones that we already have, and possibly, feel a bit bored with) in the new way.
adorned with different charms, scarves and twillies, new straps, anything else... boost your creativeness to give a fresh look to an old buddy
not necessarily expensive ones, hand-made and DIY would be even more fun!!!!
That's a fun idea! I'll have to sit this one out because other than sometimes swapping out a strap, I don't like to put things on bags. I think my bags are beautiful as is. :hbeat:
Are colors done?
Speaking of colors. I was busy with Mother's Day (it was Sunday in the US) that I forgot to post.

This is Jewelled and Embellished week!

So post all your beautiful jeweled, embroidered, strassed, hand painted and otherwise bedecked and bedazzled bags. IMG_3369.JPG
Next week is our last color week: Multicolored bags.

Yes, but I can't recall what thread it is in. It looks adorable.

Here's the pic from that thread.

Penguins! I love penguins!

I'm still trying for my Fragment items, the Hawaii exclusives, looking out for the World Tour mon monogram, then the Christmas animation, then the new LV cruise Japan themed stuff.

[emoji389]

I'll try to stick to SLGs but some of the bags are love!

I saw mucinex at home, I'll try that when I'm done with work. Gotta get rid of this cold, I gotta be healthy for Hawaii!
Get well soon!

Lol!

I spent the weekend in a dilemma that touches on some of the subjects talked about today including 'dated, coats, and buying bags lower priced bags only to find a better one (not capture the subject at hand all that well.)

I love my Hermes Trimll black hobo in Clemence leather. I think it has the prettiest slouch due to the Clemence and is just the right size and comfort for me. I've had it for a decade or more, it barely shows wear and has been in regular rotation all that time and… the sign of a loved bag ... I never buy another in that style and color to compete with it.
Soooo a red version appeared on Ann's last week in Togo leather. I bought it in a nanosecond and it arrived two days later. Then I tied myself up in paroxysms of remorse for two reasons: how dated does this bag look really? It's been out of production for more than a decade. And then I had already bought in March, a cherry red Longchamp Cuir to round out my red bags and that one looks great with my black puffer coat. I didn't need two and the LC wasn't returnable due to the price. So I drove myself crazy and then decided to KEEP the RED TRIM II. I decided so because it's a better bag, I love my black one so I know it works for me, and I don't know when I'll see another in red, if ever. I remained uncomfortable for a few days but now I'm happy as a smiley face. So here they are, my dated but loved Trims.

I think it's a timeless style and I love both colors. But ultimately, timeless, classic, trendy really depends on the person. Congrats on your new addition, the color is beautiful!

Purchased 15 months ago, first time using...oops! Seizing an opportunity where a diaper bag is not needed.View attachment 3696831
Love both items! And AGH you have a Coach x Pacman with those characters on it. We didn't get that in too many styles =(

I can't get rid of this bag, the D&B Florentine satchel. I've had it at least 10 years. I love, love, love the color. The bag is really heavy and the getting in/out I didn't like so I've probably worn her 3 times?! I cannot let it go, because sometimes I get it out just to look at the color! View attachment 3696920
GORGEOUS! And I have the same problem with my Ocean - same size as yours. Heavy like a small child but I just can't part with her c'uz of the color. I'll carry her until I can't anymore haha.

Yes, I love that aspect of the design. The key fob has a mini "Y" on it also! :amuse:

I loved this bag when it came out but unfortunately, I was just out of school and not in the position to purchase one.

Can I also ask accessories advice ladies. Sorry I've not been posting a lot lately. It's because I have a big presentation tomorrow. It's at a public hearing called for by the regulator regarding the regulatory application filed by our company. I can't choose my accessory for the outfit.

I've decided to do away with stiff corporate look and instead go dressy. Black loose blouse and black slim fit slacks, and heels. I rarely do all black so I feel I need to accessorize so as not to look like I'm in mourning. A scarf would have been great but I just accessorized with scarf last week and a lot of people in that venue will be coming tomorrow. I want a different look.

The combination I like the most is C, but I'm a bit not sure if the look is more for evening/party. I also like B but the necklace is just costume jewelry and I'm a bit conscious about that. A is just a bit stiff somehow.

Depending on which necklace, I will adjust my other jewelry pieces. Which do you prefer? Help please. Excuse the not so clear pictures as these were just taken (night time now). Thanks!

I'm late on this and saw that you went with C, but I actually really like B lol. But C is fantastic too! =)

Ugh. I've gotten sick and injured my hand again all at once! [emoji855]

It feels so sad to pile cold meds and tissues in my Herbag lol.

The capacity of the Herbag is pretty good, considering how it tapers up top. It seems to be partially due to the unstructured cloth body it has which has a little give to it.

Full review later!
Hope you feel better, bake!

Your previous Herbag review helped me decide to hint heavily to DH that this was what I wanted last Christmas! [emoji319]

And thank you!
