My bag for today is another favorite. My Saint Laurent shopping tote.

Here's a short story. I was first attracted to her because of the price. It was relatively cheap for the brand. But as you know, I don't like to spend on totes. I browsed online looking for deals. Some European sites carry her at even more attractive prices and would come out cheaper than retail even with our customs and taxes. I kept looking, maybe a span of 6 months or so. Then I went to the boutique and tried it. I thought I could set the wanting aside since anyway it was a simple tote and I found it big for my taste at that time. I even declared that in last year's thread - that I'm over it.

Then somehow it crept back into my consciousness, but I still tried to deny it. I even ignored the free delivery and the signing coupon I got from matchesfashion.com. But months later, I still wanted the tote, especially when I went back to the boutique and the dark blue color I wanted was there and I was able to try it. I decided I really want it! After a total of a year or so, I finally bought it online from Selfridges (they already remove the UK taxes)! And I couldn't be happier when I got it. Plus even more now, with the bag insert with zip top that I got for it.

You are the most patient bag searcher I know. Not only do you search and search, you wait for the long shipping time to you.

That's dedication.

And a great tote!

What I forgot to add was, I was looking at a lot of totes at that time. And our discussions about place holder bags in the 2016 thread finally hit me then - that if I buy this, I will no longer want the other totes. So I made a go for it, and I was right. I no longer wanted the others.
ETA: On the patience aspect, I try!! But not successful always.

Beautiful tote, msd! You are a great bag stalker; and I mean that in the best way! You showed the organizer with the zipper, I believe; so smart. I have rejected some totes due to having an open top and you solved this with your insert/organizer. It also gives your tote a nice shape.

Bag stalker...I guess I am!! I previously got another brand of organizer with zipper top, I think the material is nylon? But I was not totally happy with it so I looked for another one. This new one so far I am loving! It also took me a while to decide on this (its size), btw.

I don't know if this is the right thread to ask but I'm looking for a bag thats edgy/classic/versatile under the price of $1700. Any recommendations? Thank you.

I'm not sure if I'm the right person to answer. How about start a thread?

But I'm now crazy about this brand called "Massaccesi ". Check out their thread in the forum. Or you can try some other brands, too. [emoji4] With your budget, there're actually a lot to offer. [emoji4]
