@papertiger as always ur pieces blow my mind. Even more so because I'm a big Gucci fan and I love all your pieces from them. Your exotics are just amazing in material and style - how do you care for them?

@Sparkletastic a carefree bag for me used to be something inexpensive I would pick up (in my very early bag collecting days), then they were bags that got demoted, so to speak, like my Miu Miu hobo- still love them but not suitable for dressing up, now that I'm more mindful of why I'm buying bags I choose nylon and coated canvas. For me, there is no beating those materials for carefree and then I don't have to compromise on style and they're still suitable to be dressed up, say if I'm going on vacation and don't want to pack a lot.

@Pessie @ksuromax @kemi wow, lovely beautiful browns. I'm a sucker for a beautiful brown leather bag. @ksuromax that Weekender is tdf

@eeiv it sounds like the bags u bought have specific purpose in your life so that's probably better than sticking to a resolution with the wrong bags. That's how I was eventually successfully with my goal because I had to go through the process of finding what works for me to curb the buying. Good point though about probably being able to use what we have for a 'need' item and if we needed it shouldn't we have needed it all this time - when that comes into my mind I now take a look to see if something I already own or maybe am using for that purpose is the most ideal piece for my need and if not, I'm ok to find a better option but then I let go of what wasn't working (unless it serves another purpose). I've learned that the idea of perfect changes all the time and that's ok!

@coolmelondew beautiful! Another amazing mulberry on here.

@dcooney4 these are all great bags. The gray furla and Tods are my favourite but the furla seems to look lighter and can mould to the body a bit better (I find larger totes get in my way sometimes when I have to reach for things, if they can't mould to my body)

@ms p it will happen! :) it can be a long process. I don't think I managed to stabilize my collection until my lifestyle changed and I didn't need so many x y z bags for x y z things I used to do. It's different for everyone though.

@Hobbsy beautiful! The one that popped out was the toaster! I didn't know it came in that gorgeous shade.

Thank you egg!

Most do well with just a clean cloth and a once a year 'feed' of cream moisturiser

Here are my Days
2008 Anthra
2012 Rose Thulian, which i re-dyed into Vermillion (pinkish reds don't work well for my skin tone)
Both are lambskin
Red one travelled with me to Paris and Disney in september, i had only this one with me and it was used and loaded heavily, and obviously it was thrown and tucked everywhere, carried tons of stuff, 1.5 l water bottles, SLR camera, and loads of smaller thingies.... bravely withstood all! Even being caught in the rain did not do any harm to it, even my DIY dye didn't bleed!
Great pics and bags!

Browns = Mulberry for me. Oak NVT bayswater, chocolate darwin bayswater and choc darwin Antony. The darwin bayswater is a recent find, it's from 2006 and hasn't been used - presumably its been stuffed at the back of someone's wardrobe. I've been looking for one in really good condition ever since I noticed the drop off in the quality of NVT leather, so that would be about 4-5 years and I'm so pleased to have found this one, and made in England too. For anyone not familiar with the brand, Darwin was Mulberry's original natural full grain leather.
I like brown very much, especially a really dark bitter chocolate brown. I think in a natural grained leather like these brown looks great, and as its worn and polished over the years it gets a lovely gloss.
I consider most of my bags to be carefree but if I was going somewhere where there was going to be a lot of mud, or water, or crowds I'd take the little Antony. It's hands free, lightweight, I can wear it under my coat if needs be, and it can take any kind of punishment and still come up shining  this one is around 10 years old, and I use it everyday as my dog walking bag.

Amazing Mulberrys!

i didn't actually... it was a gift, from our Company's business client,
they fell in love with me, i did sweat my neck off to please them, evidently, i did impress them
they gave it to me before leaving as a 'final thanks'
Although i didn't choose, i still love it dearly!
Lovely scarf - perfect for spring!

Love seeing everyone's brown bags! Brown bags are a weakness of mine.

I haven't been on in a while, but I finally sold a bag that had been listed since the beginning of the year! I have one more bag listed but thinking of listing as many as about 7ish more, which would leave me with about 7, not including clutches or nylon bags. I've only been using a couple of bags and have gotten bored with a lot of what I have. I think having too many neutrals is part of the problem.

Fortunately, I haven't been tempted by anything and my only in for the year is still just one scarf. Though if I do sell off a bunch more I want to add something colorful.
