Sparkle -I like cheap pouches too. I have LV pouches but there is no way I would ever put my lip gloss in them. I always get freebee bags when I buy makeup from Estee Lauder. When they get grubby I just toss them. I use my pouchette 26 as a clutch and my pouchette accessories with the long strap I had made for it as a crossbody and they are both counted as handbags in my collection. That is why my count is so high because I count everything other then luggage.
D.C.,

Do you put the free pouches inside your LV pouches so that you can protect interior? I use a Fendi small makeup pouch for my glosses and sticks. I also carry LV toiletry pouch every single day. I do put overflow glosses in my LV. The CPW on that has to be so low.

So I'm bummed. I fell in love with the Vintage Coach Stewardess bags - looked for a couple of months, found one on Posh and hubs encouraged me to go for it as Christmas to myself.

Well it arrived today. It was described as a "messenger" but it does NOT go across my body. That's is what it means - messenger right? I took it to mean larger style crossbody. And it is the modern take not the vintage one.

I've submitted for a return, and am afraid it won't happen. Which means this beautiful purse became a shoulder bag, which I have never been good at rocking.

This bag will sit there taunting me. I feel foolish and misled.

[please ignore the mess. Please and thank you]
SSS,

I think it's clearly misrepresented. I'm sure that Poshmark will honor the return. Don't get discouraged as this is part of the perils of online preloved shopping. It will work out even if you have to sell it yourself and take small loss.

Yes , I have a tiny pouch that I put inside the LV that I wear as bags. The bags that come with pouches such as my petit bucket and my neverfull I use for tissues or coupons etc. basically anything that won't leak. Everyone of my Mz Wallace bags comes with a pouch but I just don't use them. I only use a tiny flat gold pouch at the moment and move it from bag to bag. This way when I change bags so often nothing is forgotten. I guess I'm a little weird but it works for me.

Sooo...99 cent pouch and Chanel flap not a good mix, huh?
This reminds me of the wallet conversations we had last year when you were horrified that I was carrying the torn and mangled wallet I got from a novelty shop. I have to admit that while I have zero interest in adding a wallet, I do love the Gucci, Chanel and Dior ones I bought.

But pouches??? <insert whining> I looked up preowned LV pouches and they are 3 figures. For a pouch. :faints:
IDK, Missie. You may have a hard time moving me on this one. I may just be the tacky pouch lady.

I absolutely agree on the buying / selling is an indiacation of needing to regroup. Been there / done that too many times. I'm off that merry go round.

I can definitely love a workhorse. I love my black YSL! And I think of my LV LockMe II BB as my run around town workhorse and I adore that bag. So, that's why I wanted the Mirabeau. I don't want bags I love to get worn out from being overused. I think I could love the Mirabeau. But since I'm not sure...I'm waiting. I wish I could see / hold it in person.

My 2017 bag purchases are going to be 2 of these 4. It just depends on which I find first

1) a grey or bordeaux workhorse satchel with optional shoulder strap - medium / large enough for carrying iPad, umbrella, etc.
2) a silver bag to replace the MM & PS
3) a cobalt or kelly green bag to replace the KS
4) a black tote large enough for traveling overnight with a change of clothes and a laptop (I'm waffling on the Knomo because it isn't love. Not sure if I need to love luggage. LOL!)

And, yea, I'm always keeping my eye out for another perfect Chanel single flap to add but I don't have a color on my radar right now. If I do find one I have to give up another bag in my collection for a one in / one out.
Spark,
Your wallets are now respectable in the presence of your lady bags lol. Never buy LV slg preloved unless that particular is not available in store. They are way to high for resale imo. If you can find one at decent price then it's normally not in good condition. I definitely get my money's worth for my LV toiletry pouch. I carry it every day and it's perfect for my Flaps. Since price gives you hives, We just need to find a more cost effective alternative to the pink nylon.

I didn't know these two new additions were in workhorse category. You've definitely set the bar really high in this category. For you grey or Bordeaux have you looked at the Tom Ford bags. The leather is divine and meets all your requirements. Also is your laptop compact like MacBook Air or regular like a pro as this definitely makes difference when trying to decide on workhorse that can accommodate

DC,

Not weird at all. That reason is what had stopped me from going pouch crazy. No need to constantly change them. So much easier to toss pouch in whatever bag and go.

How is the resale on Tom Ford?

DC,
From what I've seen it appears to be a small market for it. I think because it's discreet the masses pass it over kwim. See them discounted 30% on resale market. When I got my brown one it was new with tags and I ended up paying half. It was originally 3k got it for 1500. The seller listed higher but I was able to neg. also it's still in stores for full price.

Day 4. Balenciaga First for running on the light.

I'm the same way. I now count everything except luggage. It's helped me get rid of some cheapy bags I never use but we're taking up room.

Sigh on the pouch. I never mind spending on things I love (at some sort of discount of course since I never pay full retail). But things I don't like such as watches, scarves, and pouches? It kills me! I looked at preloved Chanel pouches again. That is neeeeeever happening. I wish I could find a pouch that is cute and a little silly. I think pouches could be a place I could have some fun. Maybe I'll look at Kate Spade. I need two: one about 6"x5" x 1" for makeup and lotion. The other the same size or just a teeny bit bigger for pen, keys, bluetooth, etc.

My workhorses. Yep. The bar is very high. I want them to be some of my favorite bags since I'll carry them a lot. Also sturdy, timeless, premier and very low profile on the branding. And I do want to keep the price of each under $2k after discounts (sale, preloved, etc.) I have a new 13" laptop so that helps with size. I'll look at Tom Ford.

Anyone else get excited when they get notice of their eBay Bucks? I hate that they lowered the rate of earning but I still like getting them. Maybe I'll use this toward a pouch so it doesn't pain me so much to buy one.

This is so beautiful!!

I like that you can wear it on the shoulder and crossbody. I also love that it has feet.
The bag having feet didn't really sink in on me until you mentioned. I like the feature too! In any case, since one can bespoke a bag with Massaccesi, one can request for a lot of additional features, for a little fee.
