I got sick and missed 500+ posts so I'm just gonna jump right in. Sorry I've missed so many lovely bags - I did see a bunch of pics as I was trying to catch up. As always. Lovely.

@dcooney4 i have 12 wallets. At one point I had it down to 10 (which was my goal) and aside from my mcm I bought last year have not bought a wallet for quite some time. I was gifted 3 after I stopped buying. Second to bags, wallets are a very close second to what I love buying. This past year though, especially after buying that mini mcm, I've managed to downsize to smaller wallets and have been debating whether to sell my larger ones. I've decided not to at this time since I love all of the ones I have left, and would regret letting any go. I'm just going to rotate through what I have until they wear down.

Glad to hear you're better. Take care! [emoji6]

Yep the bag I want is the metallic edge and I'd just find a crossbody strap. But I'm not spending $2k on a bag I'll throw around and abuse. LOL!

So, I'm on the hunt for a new or preloved black, slouchy, mid sized (12" x 10" x 4" approx) crossbody in bullet proof leather $500 or less. Preferably much less because this bag will be dropped on floors, grass, etc. if anyone runs across something like that, let me know.
Mulberry did a few of their iconic ones in glossy goatskin, but i am pretty sure now most of them will be available in the secondary market only. And maybe in outlets?..

It's Sunday here so I'll just kick off the Black Week. [emoji4]

Last year.

I've added quite a few, I think. Although, I'm pretty much sure I already own a couple before last year, [emoji848] but that's not a problem. [emoji4]

And this year.

The house lot.

I'm normally not a fan of black bags. I love my bags in colors. But I went crazy for the last couple of years buying myself some black bags. [emoji4] I think I'm settled now. I think this is the most refined color collection among the array of colors that I own. Maybe because I'm not big on black. The one that makes me buy has to be a really good one.

Missing from the photo are the new Arden Cove anti-thief cross body bag and the no-name black leather bag with the red rose on it. I still have them, but I think in the rush of the moment, I just forgot to put them in.

I'm actually thinking about replacing the chain strap on the Arden Cove. It's nice and very substantial, but it's too heavy. And the bag is very stiff. I'm thinking of ways to make it soften up. But that's because I prefer softer bags. [emoji28] I love the concept and function of it, but it feels very stiff all over which isn't what I like in my bags.

Really doubt i'd buy the very same bag... i'd probably just use mine carefully, just to keep it in good shape longer.
The ones i really like i have in multiples, just different colours anyway
6 BV hobos, 6 Bal Days, 5 Venetas, 3 Mulberry Alexas....
I don't know. I buy multiple colors in the style I really like. And I've learned my lesson it's not a good idea to own one color in many style. I don't think I'll buy any.
I buy as you ladies do. If a style really works for me, I will get multiples in different colors (e.g. 5 Chanel classic flaps, 2 Miss Diors, 2 Prada totes, 2 PS Sm. Couriers).
But, like you said, Vink. Other than the Chanel flaps I don't think I want to get more than 2 bags in any one style. Mainly because there are so many great bags and brands and I love variety.

Do any of you seem to go through phases with what you like to wear? For about a month I was heavily rotating my Chanel jumbo flaps.

Now, I'm favoring my hand / arm carry satchels. Being a little roomier they are a little easier to wear. Yesterday I paired my it-won't-sell-so-I-admit-defeat-and-will-keep-it python Celine with a black dress and boots. I went to two grown up events and then to my aunt's house where I have spent far too much time playing with my little cousins since I moved here. As a result, it seems that Batman has developed a growing suspicion about what I'm carrying in my handbags. :lol:IMG_2724.JPG

@vink - every since you mentioned that your patent bag was yellowing, I've been trying to remember where I read that someone had solved the issue on their Chanel by removing and replacing the coating. Tonight my brain finally figured it out.

This is the post. I edited it for just the portion where the poster was talking about patent restoration.

So, I know you said you aren't much for DIY projects, but I wanted you to have the info in case you change your mind.
I've also never had a problem with restoring patent leather, either- you do have to use a special deglazer and follow up with what basically amounts to a plasticizing coat to restore the gloss (Angelus leather dyes makes a great product for this called 'High Gloss', and there are a couple of other companies who elude me at this second that make a great non peeling and durable product.) Angelus also has the metallic gold/silver coating that does not peel, crack or rub (I painted a pair of boots with the gold formula about 7 years ago and they still look brand new!)
