2017 resolution - shopping my own bag and wallet collection. Any one else?

This is the one I could not let go nor pull the trigger. It is the closest one I have seen

I've loved that style of bag since it was launched. It's so clean and classic. It's great in the green. Speaking of Dior, I almost bought a green Miss Dior but the shade had just a little too much of a yellow undertone. My green bag will come.

I'm looking forward to seeing all the green bags when we start green week on Sunday.

Along the same line, my DH likes to say, "you must choose to be happy". I totally agree.

A dear friend is battling ovarian cancer. She said, "when things seem hard, be COURAGEOUS. Pick up your smile and just keep going."

That is a very wonderful saying, and words to live by. I wish your friend all the best.

I have definitely been more of a "lurker and liker" recently, but I really enjoy reading everyone's posts and seeing everyone's bags!

I am determined to at least post my bags by color.

Rogue Red.

I know that the red week is over, but I just received this one yesterday as a belated birthday gift. It's from a friend whom I don't get to see nearly enough. She knows that one of my first loves was MJ.

She also must have known that I was getting a bag itch. Thankfully this bag will scratch that itch for now. I immediately moved into it and carried it today.

Isn't that cool? It looks like a slightly e/w bucket that way but I'm not really a bucket person so I'm going to use it all wide open and just snapped close because that is how I roll. My organizer fits so perfectly in there and I have transitioned so utterly into using my organizer that if I use a bag that it doesn't fit in I'm totally irritated at my nylon pouches sliding around and not being able to see every single thing at a glance in their appropriate slot. It's a time saver that's for sure, and I'm hooked. So the lack of lining in this bag doesn't bother me since I don't really interact with linings anymore when I'm using the organizer/shaper.

Still covered in ice here that melts a bit in the afternoon and then freezes super slick overnight. I fell on my hip today trying to sprinkle gravel on the walk. I seem to fall and bruise once a week this time of year!

Back to handbags, I like the idea of a vintage bag, but what would I use it for? Does anyone carry really old bags on a daily basis? Are they as carefree as I think they should be?

No not really, but my mother always made a big thing about hating black, she wouldn't have anything in it and I wasn't allowed to, and consequently it took me years to try it today's bag is a black one

i'M BACK from my concert. IT WAS AMAZING!!! Our seats were so good and I had so much fun. I can't believe it happened LOL.. so surreal. It was a simple set but they didn't need anything flashy. I want to move there and watch them every day lol.

Next week is GREEN!!!!

I love green, not so much in clothes (the only green that looks good on me is a jewel tone) but in accessories. There's a green that I love, but it is a long ago retired Louis Vuitton Epi color, Borneo green. I hope to find one like it in a small bag...someday.

Most bags don't seem to come in "true" colors" like true red, yellow, green, etc. I struggled with reds for a long while. I had a red with slight orange undertones that I really love but I just wanted a simple saturated true non orangey, non blueish, non brownish red. I was so happy when I found one.

Now I want a rich true green. Something like this color. Maybe a shade lighter. Gucci does some pretty greens so I need keep an eye on them. View attachment 3637001

What bag(s) did you bring for Vegas? And did you see any good ones while there? There's always lots of pics of what's for sale at the boutiques at Vegas and it's amazing.

I'm bored and stuck here at the condo. I'll post my Greens next weekend. There're not many anyway. [emoji28]

But to spice things up in my bag before the birthday bag arrive, I retire one pouch and replace it with a new one. [emoji4]



The retired one is a magazine freebie and the replacement is a souvenir from a Lotte Theme park we visited in January. They have quite a few of animal mascots for the park and I like this one the most. I also got some stationaries and notebooks from there. This pouch is surprisingly lined with sponge and nylon. I just use it for bank book. It won't fit in a smaller bags, but with a new tote coming, I feel like I don't really have to care. Yay!
