Here's the pic with the purse and my passport, card case and Epi pen. My phone can't fit
Once the new-bag love has faded, do you think this will keep you from wanting to carry this bag?

I have zero art skills. Anything I drew would look like a box with tentacles for a handle. :lol:
Somewhere out there is a person who would carry that bag. it could be kinda cool-looking . . .

I took my Chloe Bay shopping as planned today (Photo tomorrow I hope when PhotoBucket may be working again).

Thoughts I had:
1. Not as heavy as I remember;
2. Wow, I used to carry big bags;
3. Though a Winter bag I remember why I used to carry it in Summer. It's too wide with things in it to carry on over a thick coat and keep on my shoulder;
4. Ridiculous to carry to the supermarket, I had to carry another 2 shopping bags and the Bay home again (I walk coz it's only round the corner). However, I knew I was doing it as an exercise.
5. Lovely colour, very dark brown bhw, fine with black but it'd be better with casual.

Did carrying it make you want to put it back in rotation?

You get as many years as you want to be 30, sweetie!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:
Whew!

@dcooney4, I love the rooster!

It may help if you had actual clothes/jewels on your wish-list, perhaps you do. If you have the actual items in mind, know how much they cost and keep focused on those...

Maybe you've been searching so long for your gold bag, you've got in a habit of searching the same online stores and resources. Tell yourself you HAVE that bag, say it out loud. You have the best so what could you possibly be handbag-surfing for? Switch to the clothes and jewellery sites instead and give your existing bags a non-needed but admiring flick with a clean duster.
Very good and accurate insight. I've been hunting bags for my overhauled / rebooted collection for 5 years now. So, I think I'm in a habit of hunting and getting happy (adrenaline then endorphins). :-s That was ok when I needed bags. But not now when I'm almost done with my main collection. I do have a short, specific list of bags I intend to buy in the next 2-3 years but they aren't priorities over the jewelry and clothes I plan to get. And I only have descriptors (i.e. Bordeaux workhorse satchel) not specific target bags. So I wander through too many sites with too many temptations. If only I had a money tree and didn't have to prioritize. :girlsigh:

I have my detailed jewelry list. And fine jewelry is the only thing I love more than bags. So I'll shift my focus to that which should keep me happily occupied while I try to figure out a clothing list. The first thing I'm hunting is my perfect casual diamond hoops. So when I get a bag search urge, I'll redirect to that...and keep acting like a lunatic and petting the bags I have. LOL!

I read through my old journals and go through lists of stuff last week. I find something interesting I never notice before about myself.

I thought I can wear one bag on and on for a month or more. Apparently not!

According to my journals, the longest I can do is, indeed, a month, but I usually switch bag after 3 weeks of wearing, regardless of switching out for weekends or not. And if I switch bags during weekend, it seems like I can go on with the same bag a little bit longer, but not longer than 5 weeks.

This is something interesting about myself I just found out.

Have you ever go through your old diary or journals and find something new about yourself? Or do you keep a diary or journal at all?

Wow vink. How long have you been keeping a wardrobe journal? I am impressed!

Gulp. HopelessBagGirl Love this bag! I really like blue bags for some reason. Strangely, I don't have many..go figure

Bought a tassel without the bag with me. I would say epic fail. I thought the bag was bigger. Good thing I listened to bake and didn't spend to much.

:lol: Well the tassel is cute nonetheless! It appears that bakeacookie is quite the wise one!

Here she is, my ban breaker! 2012 in Lagoon, in mint condition with all cards and tags :smile:

Holy guacamole...another blue bag. Heaven help me! I Like this north south style ksuromax

Nice tassels! I think it adds so much to a bag. Who makes these? I think i am allowed these ..is this considered an SLG? Even if it were, did i commit to an SLG ban?

Great news! Evidently my grey Chanel didn't need long / much effort to touch up. Leather Surgeons just sent me the invoice and it will ship back to me tomorrow. :nuts:

I was hopeful it wouldn't need much work. The structure and leather were perfect and there was no scuffing or scratches to the hardware. It just had the weird scuffs on the top of the bag (how the heck do you scuff the top of a bag??) that were worrisome.

I see me getting a LOT of use out of this bag! I'll post photos when she arrives. Ohmigoodness, I can't wait! :panic:

Here is group shot. I will take individual when I get home...it's the red one behind the Kelly

Mmm great bracelet collection missie1! Which style do you like best? I really like the one with the 3 slots..can't recall its name..kelly dog? I would like a black with gold hardware. It is an arm statement though. Im not sure how to dress with it.

I have a bad case of the "wants" today. I've been puttering around my usual online shopping haunts with nothing resembling good intentions. :-s This is pretty stupid. I adore my collection and have a plan to carefully add bags to fill my few remaining gaps.

What makes it even kookier for me to have bag cravings is that this year isn't about handbags for me. My 2017 wardrobe focuses are 1) adding to and upgrading my clothing 2) adding three more pieces of fine jewelry to my collection. This is not the year of handbags.:doh:

So I'm fighting the craving. I dragged myself off the shopping sites and touched / looked at my bags to remind myself how happy I am with what I have. Then I rooted around in my closet and storage area for more things to list and sell. :sad: I'm hoping this will cool my jets a bit.

Have any of you ever awakened with an out of the blue "I wanna buy something pretty for me" mood? Please help me stay on hard pause. :panic:I welcome all thoughts and suggestions!

Well sparlkletastic I have to admit...i am no help. I can barely be of help to myself..hence here I am on the discipline thread. So ..well..um.. hang in there. (Psst...Did you find something really pretty? :noworry:)
