I have to say, I was not really a BV fan until very recently. Mostly because I associated the brand with slouchy hobos, a style that doesn’t work for me. But they’ve come out with some styles that are really different and fabulous. I know you’re planning on looking at the Chain Tote. Check out the Piazza bag too while you’re at it — it’s like a Kelly, but the details are amazing.

I think you have to actually put your hands on a BV bag to “get” the quality. Funny story: I said to my DH yesterday that I know he doesn’t really like my new Chain Tote — he hadn’t commented on it and I know his preference is for smaller, more structured bags (eg, Chanel flaps and H Kellys). He said, “Well, it’s growing on me. At least it’s not a a shapeless sack!” I told him to go feel the bag up, especially the suede lining. He put his hand inside the bag, smiled, and said, “It feels like a bunny’s nose!” Lol! :p
you're married to a right guy!!

My problem with BV has been the woven leather. It just hasn't appealed to me at all.
Then this year something shifted. I love the pillow and the tote you bought. I also like the satchel that was just shown on TPF. More structured bags are always better for me. I have two slouchy bags that drive me bonkers. They're just so cute that I love them enough to suffer. Lol!

Is anyone else carrying specific bags for the holidays? I see red bags, but the holidays aren’t limited to only red. [emoji4]

I’ve been so busy these days that I haven’t been able to join the juicy discussions.

I’ve carried 8 different bags so far in December, including my little Ferragamo that I’ve worn during 2
parties. It’s so easy to have on my shoulder while I’m circulating.

My main day bag will be my speedy b25 in DE; i have 3 kids under the age of 5 so i need to be hands free when i’m out and about. I probably won’t change out of it till the new yr.

For kids free days i plan to try and use my black caviar jumbo.

For any special events/functions, i’ll decide as i go along

I am impressed that you even get to carry a bag. When mine were small I had three under four years of age and I was lucky if I had everything in my diaper bag.

Something that was said many times over but is really starting to sink in, is when you buy a new bag for an occasion that you already have a similar bag for that use. I through this sale season have not bought quite a few bags because it would mean less usage of the one I already have. How many small black bags with chains do I need for example. One with silver chain and one with gold should be good enough. This thought has been helping me really choose wiser on what I buy and what I keep. What statements are helping keep your bag shopping under control.

It’s a similar thought.
1. This is pretty, but it look familiar. I think I already have something like this at home.
2. No, I already have too many. I shouldn’t buy it.

Today when I checked the consignment store account I got excited because she sold something that I would get 75.00 dollars for. So I thought It was maybe the Kate Spade, but she sold a huge heavy puffy coat. Not as exciting as getting rid of an unwanted bag but still means more space will stay in my closet.
An item gone is an item gone! That's great!

Funny, a sister of mine with grown up kids told us once that her daughter (now a new lawyer) just doesn't get why a woven bag costs that much!! As you know, in our culture especially in the old days, we have the "banig" or woven sleeping mat which people then used to sleep on the floor. So things woven have some sort of association to the banig.
