So I just spent about 30 minutes on the phone with Jax and after speaking with 2 different reps, 1 was a supervisor, I was told, with absolute certainty that there is no Fog/Bordeaux color combo. The Fog is only available with the Adobe trim in the 23 and the 'standard' and the Cornflower trim in the 38.
Is it possible your SA was mistaken? I keep looking at that bag on you and comparing it with the standard and the 38 on the website and to me, it sooooo looks like the standard.
Another thing I've noticed, the strap length on the 38 is listed at 19" and the length on the standard is 21". You're wearing the strap doubled in the pic so at the most, the drop would be a max of 8 1/2" but the bag looks like it's sitting comfortably under your arm and not up in your armpit! On the standard, the drop doubled would be 9 1/2" which would give a more comfortable fit.
I'm trying to avoid having to order both bags only to return 1 but it looks like I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and order 2 but I don't want the cornflower trim! OY!!
Thanks for the info!! I just called the boutique and another SA told me that the bag was not a 38 messenger as I was told yesterday but a saddle 35. This hasn't been released on the website yet. Apparently there are 4 sizes: the 23, "standard", 35, and 38. But she said the saddle 35 is $695? Same price as the messenger? Which is confusing to me. Can anyone confirm?
That would make sense...I think the men's messenger has a separate compartment under the flap, and is longer than the 35. Looks beautiful on you!
Call JAX; it's not released yet. There's 23, the regular size, 35, and 38 which is a men's messenger bag.
You can order from JAX. Just provide them with the style number and color combination. When I ordered the Saddle bag 35 last month they only had 4 colors available. I can't remember which ones those were outside of the one I ordered in tabac/carmine. FYI: if you call after 11pm est, you will be reaching their after hours line and they can only take orders, they can't provide product info, color, style number, etc.
Frustrating! I have been patiently waiting for the eggplant saddle to arrive at Jax. All 4 had already been snapped up at JAX! And no backorder available either.
I was able to try on a saddle 38 in Fog. For reference I am 5'7 (5'8 in boots) and plus size (size 18-20). I really like it size wise on my frame, but think the flap may get a little cumbersome when used as a everyday bag for grab and go. I'm on the fence about getting this vs the large saddle, but I really don't see the need for another neutral in my collection as of now.

They only have oxblood/black and tabac/carmine now. Smoke/cornflower and bordeaux/oxblood is sold out, apparently for 35.

Looks perfect on you! Coach can be such teasers; I wanted the saddle 35 in Dahlia/oxblood, but was told by a JAX representative that they're no longer going to receive that color/size combination. Not sure if it was ever made to begin with, yet there's even a drilldown pic! Guess I'll just be happy with my tabac/carmine

Thank you all so much for the sweet compliments!! I finally decided to pull the trigger and order the saddle 35 in tabac/carmine this evening! I am so excited. I loved the fog color as well so it was hard to decide.
