I absolutely love the Peekaboo bag. It's the one bag I regret not getting years ago. Now they are 4K and I don't know if I want to pay that price for it. How do you find it in terms of functionality?

Yes, I also watched it too long. Looked at the pre-loved models, too, but there are different shapes, strap lengths and colour combinations and I was afraid of a fake... Seems that the price has gone up, down and up again!? Maybe wait and watch the prices? The leather is divine, by the way...

Then I went to Fendi at Selfridges London and during a very nice handbag talk fell in love with exactly this Selleria bag... Thought about it a few weeks longer and then I took the plunge. It's my Christmas purchase and the only one in 2016! Functionality is excellent for my needs. I have easy access to both compartments, can quickly close it with a turn of the clasp. It fits everything except A4 paper - I take a cotton bag for work papers when needed. The shoulder strap is practical when I need my hands free, but usually it's handheld or in the crook of my arm. (I realised that I don't use my zipper closed bags as often as the open totes or those with magnetic or other closures.)

Yes all the pre-loved earlier versions look rather worn. The color combo and size is something that I must figure out first. I definitely have this on my radar.... I will have to watch and see if the price swings low again and grab one. Glad to know that it can function as a workhorse if needed.

May I answer the question for you? The reissue is actually "in between" sizes when compare to Classic. The 226 will be about 11" while m/l is 10" and jumbo is 12". 227 will be about 12.5 which is a bit bigger than jumbo, but smaller than maxi.

Compare between reissue 227 and jumbo, the double flap can hold the least ,but not much less. The single flap can hold much more than a double flap and almost the same as 227, if not more. I can put a thick pocket book in my single flap, but have to forget it for the double flap and need a bit reorganization with 227 or just carry a thinner book. Some people will think reissue 227 holds more, but I think it hold the same as a single flap and that double flap holds less due to a more rigid structure. If a double flap is well used, my opinion may change.

thanks a lot, @vink

really appreciate it. reissue 227 is in my wishlist 2018 now.

I'
when I'm not going to work, usually I prefer a medium size (like you mention, the Speedy 30). When I'm at work, I prefer totes which are generally bigger so I can fit a laptop also. For errands, I try to minimize to a crossbody. Like you, my bag size depends on its use. The Gucci Bostons are simlar in size to Speedy 30s, and Dooney and Bourke have bags in the majority of the medium and medium/small bag. RM bags seem to fall into that category too and then the Givenchy Antigonia has a size similar to the Speedy 30 too. I answering this, I don't think I have a small bag that is not a clutch or crossbody haha.

thanks a lot for the suggestion, dear. i will look at antigona. it is classic, right?

btw i looooovenyour blog!

Floodette. The reissue 227 is equivalent to a jumbo. The reissue 226 is bigger than med/large but smaller than jumbo.
thanks a lot! so 227 will it be.

btw what color is your reissue? i wonder what makes younhesitate to use it....

Update on my purse sale....SS did not come and get the red alma. The day he was suppose to come his fiancé went into labor so DH is now a proud granddad. So we will see once they leave hospital and get baby settled. BTW the baby is so cute
congrats on the baby!

It's my Christmas purchase and the only one in 2016!

AH MA ZIIIIIIING!! I wish I could be like you someday!

Great answer, Vink. I saved this in Evernote so I can look at it in the future.

All things being equal like materials, the reissue strikes me as more casual and perhaps more easy to wear than the classic flap. Do you find that to be the case?

Yes. :) I find I reach for reissue more. The aged calf make it look rugged and seem to withstand anything. The chain is tough, but dressy enough. The logo isn't there. For the classic, that CC gives of the "expensive" vibe and "look at me! I'm Chanel!" whenever I wear them so... I don't wear them much unless I'm going somewhere that people don't care about fancy bags. ;)
