Cole haan bags are so well made I am surprised more people don't use them like you and I. I am not much of a hobo person either . I just have the Cole Haan one.
After
Coach, I went to Cole Haan. Nicely made bags! And it was my frustration of not winning an ebay auction for a lot of 5 Cole Haan bags (combination of NWT and lightly used ones) that brought me to TPF. Well not directly. I can't recall how, but that frustration introduced me to RM via ebay, and then I saw some RM listings that say TPF. So I went to TPF and got hooked!
My bag today is long-time-no-see J.W.Hulme satchel.
I love the look of this bag!
Yes.

I've been in NYC a short time after the 9/11. I know it's normal for the Americans to continue living there, but for the non-American, it's not.

It'll be the same when you go to London, too.

There's an old saying in my country, when it's your time, it'll come and it won't bother you when it's not. If you really want to go, just go.
Pretty bag! I like the opening!
I think you and I were in the US in 2003. I went in March, just 6 months after 9/11. I think things have settled down a bit then, but I didn't get to go inside the Statue of Liberty since it was closed for security reasons.

Of course, I had some fear. But people I visited were going on with their lives so I was not discouraged to go. Or, maybe I was a lot younger then and was not thinking too much of the risk...
I
I'm thinking about ways to edit my stuff. This is the stuff I'm currently carrying.
The card on top right is a thumb drive. I find myself carry too many lipstick/lip balm. So I'm cutting down on those. All the small stuff are the content of my pouch. I already took out my extra battery since I rarely use them unless I go to a meeting outside my office so I can just take it on that day. I'm using 2 notebooks now coz it's the end of the year and I need to put down some appointments for next year already. But one of them will be gone by the end of the year. I don't know what I should cut next. Still thinking about that. And I don't even have any book inside my bag! [emoji29]
When I look at your stuff, there are not much extras really, maybe except for the lipsticks/balms?

In my case, since I could not further downsize, I just opted for lightweight pouches/cases, And every now and then, I take the coins out of my wallet since they definitely add to the weight (we use a lot of cash here too). Btw, I shifted to a smaller wallet a few months back for this purpose too.
Hello lovelies!
Thought you would be interested....I moved out of my LV Vernis Zippy & into my LV Epi Zippy Organizer(!)
But really I didn't change the *types* of bags that I liked, I just got rid of versions that I didn't love, replaced some with more fashionable/grown-up versions. Or custom made straps to fix the utility of purses that I wanted to keep.
The only new rule I have for myself is no new heavy bags. I have one that is a touch too much but I love it so it stays. It just don't get worn if I'm going to be out allllll day.
As for November though....
1 purse in (!)
1 purse, 1 SLG on the chopping block...
I know that completely obliterates my "don't buy anything for a year" rule but it's something I have wanted for a very long time & I can absolutely justify the utility, the beauty and the feather light weight
Goyard St Louis PM(!) It's a beautiful burgundy color. I can't figure out how to add pix via the website & not the TPF app but I had to take the app off my phone bc it was too tempting to log in (and by extension buy purses...)
Hope y'all are having a great day!
Hi LVk8!! Nice to hear from you.

I like it when you said, "But really I didn't change the *types* of bags that I liked, I just got rid of versions that I didn't love, replaced some with more fashionable/grown-up versions." I can totally relate to this.
Congrats on your St. Louis!! The first time I saw that was on Calista Flockhart in Brothers and Sisters. Maybe 2005-ish?? I was wondering about her very simple but lovely tote. I knew it had to be expensive because otherwise it would not have been featured. She carried it a lot during the first (?) season of that show. And then, I came across that style in a flea market up north, that area being very popular for great pre-loved finds. We call that "ukay-ukay". I was so excited!! I was not sure if it was authentic though. Sellers in that area get their pre-loved stuff from container vans that are being sent from overseas. It could have been authentic, but could have been fake too. It was being sold for around $120. (I know I know) But the brand was not popular here then, so it was possible the seller did not know the value of the bag. I've often wondered if I bought that bag, and after being in tpf with an authenticate this bag thread, would that have turned out to be the greatest bargain of all?? I was willing to buy then at around $50.
