Yes, someone could be connecting to your internet if there is no password or the password is weak. Maybe your modem is getting old? I'm not too tech savvy, so I may be using the wrong terms and stuff. Anyway, hope you get that resolved.

I'm actually excited for the long thanksgiving weekend because I so want to clean! Haha. I hope I don't get lazy and just want to cook and shop that weekend. Great job cleaning though! Sounds like you made great progress! Keep it up and tackle that closet!

The service provider just changed my modem a few months back, it was old they said. My wifi router is old but I tried connecting directly to the modem and the problem was still there, so the router is not problem. The service provider configures the modem, I don't know about the level of security they put in. (I'm also not tech savvy.)

I've been using my black D&B since the funeral last week.

Heard from my buyer today. She's aware the bag is not currently on the factory site, but apparently she or her sister kept tabs on what the price was before it sold out and want to get it at or below that price.

Ladies, tell me if I'm missing something here, but I don't understand why she thinks she should be able to get a sold out bag for the clearance price or less. If you know it's discontinued and only available secondhand, that would drive the price up, not down. Is she being unreasonable or am I? I had my Coach Legacy Turnlock Tote in purple listed at $156 per Tradesy's suggestion. She asked me to go to $125 and I did. Is that high? Should I go down more? The bag is in excellent condition.

Thanks.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm not dropping it any more for her. I think she wants it to go down to $50 or something. I don't know what the last factory price was. But I don't think $125 is unreasonable, and I may even raise it back to the $156.

I agree with Bake and Msd. You already set the price you think is good for you and should be acceptable for your potential buyer. When she offer for the new price, she should offer the price that she's willing to pay. Not to test the water if you'll be willing to go any lower. There's a reason people say they get a bargain, but there's also a reason people say they don't lose much on selling and some even get their money back, regardless of the brand of the bag. If you don't like the price she wants, just don't settle and sell. I'm sure someone will come around. I think a good transaction is a win-win deal. If you don't like the way she's handling her end, just say no.

I think you and I were in the US in 2003. I went in March, just 6 months after 9/11. I think things have settled down a bit then, but I didn't get to go inside the Statue of Liberty since it was closed for security reasons. :( Of course, I had some fear. But people I visited were going on with their lives so I was not discouraged to go. Or, maybe I was a lot younger then and was not thinking too much of the risk...

When I look at your stuff, there are not much extras really, maybe except for the lipsticks/balms? :graucho: In my case, since I could not further downsize, I just opted for lightweight pouches/cases, And every now and then, I take the coins out of my wallet since they definitely add to the weight (we use a lot of cash here too). Btw, I shifted to a smaller wallet a few months back for this purpose too.

Yes! I was in the States in 2003. On the day of the attack, I was in upstate NY and we knew about the attack during the break. Some of the people had to leave right away. It was such a cold day. I went to NYC about a month after that and happen to drove past the site. It's devastating seeing people clamoring near by the fence and one girl was crying when she walked past my car. I just couldn't forget it even now. After the attack, I really notice the tight security at the airport and everywhere. My suitcase got searched so thoroughly it's kind of embarrassing the way I packed my underwear. Actually, the next day after the attack, I see so many people in the army uniform I have to ask my friends where these people come from and that's how I learn about how the US recruits their soldiers, which I think is very interesting.

I have been on break since Tuesday (Thursday mid-morning here now.). I'm wondering if I've made productive use of my time. Tuesday I went to the office mid-morning and brought lunch for some of my staff that were working overtime. Then I went to the beauty salon for some hair treatment and haircut. Then I filed my service application with a different internet service provider. I don't know what is happening with my current internet service. I've reported it 2x and they've checked 2x, and they say there's no problem. I've noticed daily that nearing 6pm I start getting intermittent connection, even more so by 9pm. I have to restart my modem everytime. I am really wondering if somebody is stealing my connection?? (Is this even possible?) Of course the service people come during work hours that is why they don't see any problem. That night, I rearranged some of my bags.

Anyway, 2nd day of my break, I went on a cleanup mode from 9am-3pm. Then I was so tired I stopped for the day, haha! I sorted through 2 side tables with 3 drawers each and 3 other small storage areas in my closet. I could not believe all the junk I managed to store in them. I threw away 2 mid-sized trash can full of junk.

Today, third day, I'm supposed to go over my clothes. I exercised first upon waking up. Now I'm tired, haha, and delaying doing my task. :graucho:

I think you have quite a productive time. Reading your post, I really need to go see my hairdresser My hair is getting too long it gets annoying around my neck.

Browsing the forum since I can't sleep, I'm can't believe how entitled people act on here.

Someone said they didn't want to read the long thread and basically wanted someone to summarize the thread for her so she could score her dream bag.

There isn't even an exact method, if one reads the thread, it's luck and timing. Wow. Just floored when someone straight up says their time is more important than everyone else who helps others.

Idk if I need a tpf break or not now lol.

I would just say from what ever thread that was annoying you perhaps, but not from here. I would miss you to much. As it is I wish Jenny was still here. Thank goodness Lou and Amor stopped back. I think all the lovely ladies that have come and do come to this thread are wonderful .

True, we have not seen Jenny for a long time. What happened with her?

HEY! great to hear from you! And congrats on your new bag! Having seen a number of Goyards on this thread, I am becoming a fan!

Agreed! They are extremely durable and I think I'll be using the same ones I have for many many years. I think they get looked over because maybe the seem sort of plain? and for the price point, you can get a bag from a wide variety of other designers - but they really have the quality in their bags that will last for so long. Lately I get the feeling they are trying to appeal to a different audience, with the label change (I think they've changed 2-3 times since I started with the brand).

Great to see her again, it HAS been a while!

Loving you're bag and delighted to see its insides lol.. i love 'what's in my bag posts' haha.. cousins on the lesportsac pouch! I agree with you on the lip balms, I am down to 1.

I like their older bags more then the newer ones, but I am not giving up on them .

This thread is wonderful. It's just astonishing how in such a welcoming community there's people who want to ruin it for others. I guess it really shows how it's a microcosm of the world, but I typically come to tpf to escape the dramas of life and enjoy handbags.

I won't leave, tpf entertains me during my downtime. Lol but perhaps I should stop reading other threads. I typically only post in the handbag side, minus a few things in the money talks, so it's really sad to see such attitudes and bad demeanor or the handbag side.

So I'm still here, I can't find another forum that's generally as welcoming as this one.

ETA: My scarf is ready for pick up! Will share photos when I get it. So excited. I'm terrible at being good. [emoji85]

Your going to London you are going to need that warm scarf.

And because it's shorter, I don't have to wrap it around so much. That gets too hot. I'm so excited to get it this weekend.

I've been bad today. I had a headache so I didn't go in to work. By the time I felt better it was kinda late to be going in so I just went out and treated myself to lunch and a bit of shopping. I bought myself a mug at starbucks and a belt at Nordstrom Rack (plus a second belt for DBF). [emoji85] AGHHH, I'm terrible at bans.

And I just found out DBF bought me the same mug at Starbucks. Haha. Looks like this is going to be a gift for someone. [emoji28] I wonder if I can return it.

And my bag for today for my errands and lunch treat

My boss totally made fun of me for spending my off time getting a car wash. [emoji38] I'm productive even on my sick time.
