2015 resolution - shopping from my own bag and wallet collection. Any one else?

1) If I could design my own bag it would be a structured bag/satchel made from smooth leather, about 13 inches in width. There would be a top zip closure, with 2 zippers meeting at the center. Zipper track at the sides would be extended 2-3 inches going down, for easy access. There should just be 1 metal accent at the front of the bag, but not nameplate. There would also be a detachable long strap for shoulder carry.

2) Do I have more or less bags now after joining the thread? Well, I didn't keep track of the number before joining, but I would say I have a better mix now. I was starting to downsize my huge RM collection when I joined. Now I have a better variety of brands and styles. However, I still have a lot especially since some of the bags I have put up for sale have not sold. But once I've rehomed them, I feel I will be much happier with my collection. I think I am learning to choose better too!

Why not buy a purse organizer to put in it.

I'm not big on purse organizer. Too constricted? I tried, but too many compartments just make me lost and it's not fun anymore. I think deep down I enjoy digging into my bag to find stuff. The problem is just that I wish I could separate cellphone, tissue papers, and car key from each other. The car key can be with the tissue paper since it's the remote type, but I just wish I have easy access to my cellphone and don't have to mess it with the tissue paper. (I keep it as a stash. No fancy pouch. And my mobile sometime isn't the cleanest thing.) :) If it has only one more small compartment inside, it'll be perfect. :)

For the premiere brands, price increases are inevitable.

What's your limit on the price difference? $75? $100? Doesn't matter?

I think once a brand raises the price of a single item by $500 or more in one increase (not gradual) then I'm over it. But $100 or less is "easier" to swallow for an increase than $500.

I don't have problem with the price increases. They can have as many increases as they want. I had paid my way from an estimate of $3,000.- up to $4,500.- for my flaps over time. But I draw the line at paying more than $5,000.- for that said flap. It's not my comfort level anymore.

This doesn't mean that I'm not willing to pay more than that for my other purses. I've been thinking about Hermes Victoria II for a while, but I can't decide on the color just yet. Plus, I don't feel like shelling out that much money for any bag at this kind of time. So, maybe one day when I feel ready to pay and that I can pinpoint on what I really like, I may get it.

I think it's about the willingness to pay more for the same product we used to get at lower price. How far we want to and can go. I'm just not willing anymore. :)

And this is what I promised, the view. :)

I'm not the best photographer, but I promise it look much better IRL. :) The location is also very good. There're a lot to work on the place, but we'll see what we can do. So far, I'm happy. :)

This is beautiful view!!!

I made one unplanned bag purchase yesterday. A bit history before the picture. :) I have never been MK Hamilton girl, tried it once but sold after one year as I didn't use it even one time. It was beautiful wine color but too big and stiff saffiano leather. So, I did not think about that style any more until I saw this one at T.J.Maxx clearance area. It's smaller and in pebbled leather, navy color. Anyway, will try it with all my stuff inside and see how it works this time. It is very pretty tough.
Ps. the tag is wrong but bag itself is authentic Hamilton, I double checked with MK thread ladies. :)

Thank you! :)

The leather look so soft on this one. Um... One thing I'm not so sure. Aren't the Hamilton support to look rigid? (I mean I don't know since I'm not a fan. I only see it on the main PB Post, but that's how it seems to look there, hence my impression.) I mean you may prefer it slouch. I think this leather look like it will get slouchy later. But then again, I like slouchy bag. :)

I think you are right, regular Hamiltons are stiff and can stand up by themselves. This one will not, as its soft leather.

Congrats! I like MK pebbled leather better too.

Thank you.

I bought this MK a few months ago and I really like the leather on it. It is soft against the body but does not completely loose it's shape. I got rid of two coach bags rather then this one when I was down sizing some of my black totes. I had originally bought it to be a gift for my dd but she prefers Browns for her totes.

hope it works out for you the second time around! I love this bag but unfortunatelyI had to forget about because as much as I love it, it doesn't look good on me. I've tried it with every size, color, and material and I just don't carry it well. I have to admire from afar!

Great views, vink, thanks for sharing!

DC - we should all create bags and sell them to each other lol
