Forget about anyone else just sketch anything you want. Don't let people see it. It is for you to enjoy and have fun with not for anyone to judge. Draw what ever you feel like. Design you dream handbag, cute caricatures, a flower , what ever you like. That is the way to start.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. :) I'll try that. :) (I'll admit here that even I, myself, think my drawing isn't so much of a sight. But I'll try to change that, too. :) I think I just want to enjoy it.... And maybe be better someday along the line? ) ;)

Vink - here are photos of my MJ crossbody and Zhoe Legend.

I saw this once at NR and wow, is it organized! Wear it in good health! :)

I agree with all your points. I stood with them until the price increases just make me feel like it's too much and maybe I'm not their target customer, the one they want to buy from them, anymore. The material and everything about the bag is just the same. I don't see why the price is going higher and faster than anything out there so I figure I'm not in the capacity to provide the demand for their stuff anymore. I still keep track and buying CJs, shoes, and everything else along the way. But from what I see everytime I visited the boutique couple with the complains I saw here, the quality is just not the same. :( I feel sad, but I figure it's the demand and supply thing and they're here to make profit so... :( But when I hear about the policy, it's just too much. I never use their after sale service and on my corner in the world, it's not available, but at least, it's good to know it's out there somewhere. This announcement is simply an admission from them that they can't handle the quality control issue anymore. There're other way to ward of reseller and actually, vintage bag is what keep the heritage of the brand alive. People who love vintage will love vintage. People who love the modern piece will love the modern piece, except they plan to "recycle" the model without a twist. I just don't see how this new policy will help except just greed.

Well, it's sad coz I used to love them so much. Now, not anymore. :(

You have an amazing collection!

They really cannot hold their quality control issue anymore. You don't put a service cut off point without a reason.

I wonder if pre-loved prices will drop. I'd like to get a vintage bag and decorate it. Maybe I'll even do it for an LV. haha.

Thank you. Somehow, I'm glad I got on the wagon before the multiple price increases in the recent years. I was there at the end of the single flap era so I got to witness many outcry, test both style and got my hands on some of the pieces. I think I'm very lucky for that.

I don't see any point on why they have to push this new policy, too. It's just sad to see the brand accept, although very subtle, that they have problems with production, but instead of trying to solve it in house, decide to blame it on the customer. :(

I don't know the effect it may have on vintage since it's not big here. But very likely these "expired flaps" that's produced recently may get hit first, especially seasonal ones coz many are made using flimsy material. (Now, it confirm my suspicion that they used suede cavier coz they want us to throw away our bags, but then it backfire coz no one decide to buy it after a while.) The "vintage" with all the quality in tact may hurt a bit, but should still be fine at the end.

So, today I decide to wear my Regalo. :) It's the only bag that's big enough to accommodate stuff I'm taking.

I'm going back to my Wide horn tomorrow.

It surprises me that I don't find the wide horn model on Bally's website anymore. Maybe they decided to discontinue the model? They still have the coated canvas listed there, but not in this model. I feel so lucky I decided to pull the trigger when I could. :)

Looks like they did! Weird.
Good to know you like yours!

Ladies, some of you are mentioning about the Chanel service.. maybe I missed a post, but what happened? It sounds like they are making customers pay for maintenance and repairs? Thanks for filling me in!

Chanel maintanence/refurbishment and repairs are typically paid for my the customer or owner of the item. Very little is taken care of for free it seems.

The latest policy change is on the PurseBlog, in which they will not do refurbishment or refinishing on items that are over 5 years old, and you have to have proof of purchase (receipt or be in the system). http://www.purseblog.com/chanel/chanel-statement-refurbishing-repairs/

If I was in to Chanel that would really turn me off to the brand. If lv stopped repairing bags I would be furious as I rotate so much that some of my lv from 2007 still look brand new but down the road I want to know they could be repaired if needed.

Me too!

Like, I get it if the bag is too old and they no longer have the parts. Fine. I get that it would be kind of difficult to repair a 100 year old bag using new parts. This isn't the case.

I like LV because there is the option to repair certain issues, as long as the canvas is not damaged. Fair enough. Aftercare service is important to me, unless I spent little on the bag.

I'm surprise on Longchamp's aftercare, that they'll repair your bag at all, for the price range their items will be at. And because they do offer a service, and do a stellar job from the repairs thread, I carry my Longchamp worry free.

If you could design your own bag what would it be? For me it would be a tote bag that is not so huge. Perhaps 12" wide by 13 "tall and 4" deep. I would want a ten inch strap drop so I could look in it without removing it off my shoulder. I would want a single open pocket on the back of the bag for my cell and glasses, but would want the front to have clean lines. Inside I would want two slip pockets and a large back wall zip pocket that would fit a full size wallet should I want to use one. What would you want?
