Suede is winter for me. :) Otherwise, since I live in tropical, I wear every color year round, but I tend to equate some darker jewel color with winter, too. Like eubergine and emerald.

The style is an activity of the day thing for me. :)

About getting upset in other part of the forum, I got upset about latest Chanel policy that was on PB last week. I haven't bought any from them in years. The price increase is just too much to swallow for me. I'm not comfortable paying that anymore. And we don't have that level of service (refurbish, etc) here. Once you bought it, it's yours unless you decide to return within the time limit. But I got very upset. I really feel like they don't stand behind their products anymore. Plus, another member whom I've seen forever since my first day on the Chanel sub forum and has learn a lot from her over time got a ban letter from Chanel corporate. Kind of a crazy week, too, IMHO. Maybe I said something crazy in those threads. :(

Just get a small sketch book and start doodling. The more you sketch the better you get.

I'll. :). Well, but I'm kind of afraid on how to start. I don't even know when. I once draw an apple and my teacher mistook it for orange or some other round fruit. No doubt about score I got. :(
But I'll. :)

Seeing that policy for Chanel has made me never want to buy another thing from them. They basically don't stand by their products. You still have to pay for refurbishment, it's not like they did it for free.

Plus they don't want my money as I am not their preferred clientele it seems.

Forget about anyone else just sketch anything you want. Don't let people see it. It is for you to enjoy and have fun with not for anyone to judge. Draw what ever you feel like. Design you dream handbag, cute caricatures, a flower , what ever you like. That is the way to start.

Ah... I'm sure if I live in the States, I'll be in much trouble. It's so much easier to shop and sell stuff. I'll never be able to save up for anything.

I think when I'm ready, I'll contact them about my order. From thread, they seems to be a very nice people. I'm getting giddy. :) But I'm trying to be good. Only 2 more months to go and it's a new year. Well, I know I said I'm considering a no-buy for the first 6 months, but when I'm giddy like this.. Oh... Well... :)

I really want to show you girls the place. :) I'm locked in a seminar until Wednesday evening so I can't make it any faster than that. I mean I'm kinda obsess with it a little bit now. :)

It's a beautiful bag! I like the proportion and it's a different shade from your Zhoe Legend. :) And they look different, too. If it's possible, could you please show the inside shot? I'm just curious. :)
Buy when you are ready. :smile1: No need to rush. I only placed my order now since I knew what I wanted and it was offered at a discount, which I know I won't likely be offered again any time soon.

My new to me MJ is taupe while my Zhoe Legend is creamy beige. And totally different depths. This MJ is closer in color to my MZ Wallace Paige, but then the Paige is nylon and this is leather.

Seminar/workshop once again this week so I'm in my Borboleta Affair Lyla tote. I'm getting bored carrying this bag to the workshop, but it's soft and pliable with lots of compartments and I don't have to worry about getting it bump into things and I can stash everything in it. But I'm just bored and my Bal Work can't be worn over the shoulder. Today, I feel like it's funny that I'm complaining like I only have one bag in a closet. But well, I guess I just really want to switch out my bag.

What do you do when you want to pick out a next bag from your closet to wear?
I build outfits around it too like Bake. But sometimes it happens that I want to wear a certain bag, wear a certain set of clothes or shoes, but they don't match. That's a dilemma!! :graucho:

Coming back to the handbag side of tpf. I don't know why I even bother venturing out, too crazy out there if you actually have your own opinion.

So this week I am continuing with my mon monogram, then will change over to another tote.

I feel like winter is a tote season for me. I like the option to carry my layers somewhere when the weather decides to switch from cold to hot.

Do you all have seasons for your bags?

I like totes in the winter, summer I like my small bags. Spring & fall I can wear anything. Haha.
My bags are year-long, no season. I live in a tropical country too and it is only wet and dry season. Sometimes with clothes I prefer cheery colors during the summer, but it is not really a 'must'. People here wear black (not necessarily the fashionable blacks) even at the height of summer.

Chiming in to add that I'm disappointed with Chanel's current direction. This blog post pretty much sums up my thoughts on the matter. I originally saved up to buy a Boy Bag this year, but now I'm not certain I want to spend $5000+ on something that might not last past 5 years. I'd rather that money go to 3-4 other luxury bags from labels that actually stand by their products.

Ooh! You have a blog too!! Man. So many blogs to keep track of on here!

And yeah, after the price increases, terrible service, and now, no aftercare service after 5 years, I'm not liking the brand anymore.

I like to pick brands that will at least stand by the product for however long it lasts, whether it be 1 or 100 years. I baby my bags, so it's not like I would be constantly patronizing their refurbishment service, but it was always reassuring they'd be there to refurbish it once it looks tired, if it ever does. And with the apparent drop in quality, it's just too much.

I understand they wanna cut out the people buying vintage who are taking up resources, but again, the service wasn't free or cheap to begin with. They want people to buy full price, which I was. But what's next to cut out? I don't want to buy something and be screwed over as a customer, not when this item is far from necessary.

Rant over, haha. Just appalled.

And to think, I coveted this brand. I was going to buy more costume jewelry in London, but I'll hold off now. It's already expensive to service those should a jewel come loose :(

Good question: I don't really have seasons for my bags, but I normally avoid clutches in the winter for obvious reasons. Oh, and I put away my leather bags during the rainy months in spring. Seasonal color palettes don't matter to me; I'll wear dark colors in spring and pastels in fall. :p

I completely agree with all of your points! It's a disturbing trend, and I just wonder what will happen further down the line. First the change to inferior materials, next the restriction on the repair policy, then what? And I wonder how Chanel can justify raising its price increases every year. It's getting to be a bit ridiculous.

I agree with all your points. I stood with them until the price increases just make me feel like it's too much and maybe I'm not their target customer, the one they want to buy from them, anymore. The material and everything about the bag is just the same. I don't see why the price is going higher and faster than anything out there so I figure I'm not in the capacity to provide the demand for their stuff anymore. I still keep track and buying CJs, shoes, and everything else along the way. But from what I see everytime I visited the boutique couple with the complains I saw here, the quality is just not the same. :( I feel sad, but I figure it's the demand and supply thing and they're here to make profit so... :( But when I hear about the policy, it's just too much. I never use their after sale service and on my corner in the world, it's not available, but at least, it's good to know it's out there somewhere. This announcement is simply an admission from them that they can't handle the quality control issue anymore. There're other way to ward of reseller and actually, vintage bag is what keep the heritage of the brand alive. People who love vintage will love vintage. People who love the modern piece will love the modern piece, except they plan to "recycle" the model without a twist. I just don't see how this new policy will help except just greed.

Well, it's sad coz I used to love them so much. Now, not anymore. :(

Wow! I Love the interior of your MBMJ!!! Very well organized!!! I like that it has that small mirror. Such a nice touch. :) And the shade is a versatile one. Congrats on picking such a lovely bag. :)

I love the inside even more than the outside! <3

Thanks ladies!! And for the price I got this for, totally worth it!! If I'm not mistaken this is also from the MJ 1984 line. Leather is really good! And the organization inside is wonderful! I'll try later how it looks with stuff inside, particularly my 2 cellphones.
