This is one that you do not need the magnification. His landscapes and seascapes you need them so you can see the details of the people's clothing and the buildings or animals. This one I liked because I do not ever paint still life's and I could see it without magnifying it. I tend to paint landscapes and animals. The frog in the water in the second picture is one of mine. So we bought something that I would not want to paint myself if that makes sense.

Yep, that makes sense. My eldest say your frog painting is beautiful[emoji5]️
I wonder how the artist painted pics that need magnifying glass to observe its details. Must be a painstaking process.

Last week I also used my Libaire backpack for an afternoon to try it out again. I thought I would sell it ,but it has so many compartments and the leather is still beautiful and light weight that I am going to keep it for now. The only thing I wish is that the hardware was silver instead of brass.

Do you always prefer SHW? Or is it because silver suits the design or color better?
I usually prefer matte GHW or brass, silver being my least favored. Though oxidised silver is absolutely gorgeous on cooler tone bags.

How exciting about the house!! I'm sure you would want to move right in. And you said it has a nice view, right? Maybe you could share that view when you're already there. [emoji4]

I have my midi Minerva out since it has been my bag since Wednesday or Thursday last week. And I still will use it this coming week. So here are some photos for you, lighting is not very good. Im happy to share my love for this bag. [emoji7]

I'm not sure what size of magazine you're thinking about, but for this one, the edge is right at the start of the lining. A little wider and the magnetic closure might not work. The bag doesn't slouch much at the top with the mag in. The first full photo is without the magazine. The longer front flap may be better if you plan to put some stuff in the outside pockets. Notice how thick the leather is!

I think they have that wine red in natural calf, which is a stiffer leather and what they recommend for the more structured bags.

I think this bag is more than 2 lbs. But they say that the newly released leather called merinos is lighter (the 2nd swatch in the earlier pic). My current order is in Merinos so I'll know in a week or so. I know your limit is 2lbs.

Thank you so much for the photo! :) The leather looks so chewy in the photo. It's a very lovely bag. I think maybe the midi is a better size then. I'm only meaning for the generic magazine. Nothing special. I figure that magazine is the biggest book I usually tote around in my bag so if it fits the magazine, there shouldn't be any problem fitting in other type of books. :)

I'm very firm on the longer front flap. I just have to fill in all the compartments. :) I don't want a stiff leather so I don't think I'll get it in calf. I can deal with color, but not the stiff leather. Um.... Maybe he can source me the leather? You asked him to source you a special color, right? But if I get it in wine color, the HW will definitely be a light gold one. :)

The view is really great. :) I'll definitely share the photo. :) I'm not in a hurry to move in though. I still need to work on redecorate and do some adjustments to it first. Plus, I'll have to wait for the owner to move out and everything. So, very likely with all the holiday that may affect my contractor, I don't expect to be able to move in within this year. :( But at least, I know I've got it in my pocket. ;)

Please please please do the review of the Merino Soulmate. Even though I like the texture of the Pebble, Merino still get me curious. :)

He must have a very steady hand to do such tiny detailed work. One scene was a beach and the woman had a tiny detailed bathing suit on that you could barely see until you put the magnifying glass to it.
I am glad your eldest liked my frog. I have to wrap him up and ship him out soon.
It is not that I prefer silver hardware but my new frye boots have silver hardware and are kind of rugged looking so I thought silver would look more edgy with those.

Amazing on the details! Have you ever tried to paint in this manner?
Totally understand on the hardware matching business. I do it too, I admire the ladies that are savvy with mismatching hardware. I could never do it, am too set in my ways.
Mismatching SLGs, different matter. Much prefer a variety rather than a similar motif. That gets too monotonous for me and pops of color makes me smile when I reach in my bag for something.

Thanks vink. Isn't its condition just excellent? And I got it for about USD750!
Am still in disbelief that I got one of my wish list bag at such a great price and in excellent condition too🤗

Oh wow Congratulations!'[emoji322][emoji322]
Am so thrilled for your family and you of course! I can just imagine what a wonderful feeling it is to finally sign on the dotted line for a new house.
Exciting times indeed!
You have to update us on the redecorating you plan to do[emoji5]️
🏻

I don't know much about LV price, but the condition is indeed excellent! It's just meant to be and your patience really does pay off. :) (And I think the price must be very good, too, otherwise, you may not wait this long? ;)) I like the happy ending story like this. :) So, how many slot you have left on your 12 seats? Or you decide to skip that already?

I'll definitely update on my plan about redecorating the new place. :) Now, I have all the picture floating in my head. It's very sudden that everything just magically fall into place. We found the place, we made an offer, and the offer got accepted. I mean all of a sudden, I feel like really?!? I'm not really prepare for it to happen this soon. :) We was thinking maybe it'll take about a year to find one that fit. And out of nowhere, we found this place. :) And we don't want to leave it hanging in the market for too long. It's not the peak time, but who knows. :)

We had an absolute blast watching both plus a Thai horror movie 'Shutter'. An oldie but still pretty good.

Forgot to write earlier, your DD looks adorable!! Did she have fun on the day?

Ah... That movie is scary. It gives me chill vibe and I just don't want to watch it again. :( I can stand zombie movie, but nothing about ghost since I'm kind of afraid that one night, when I wash my face, I may look up from the sink and find someone look at me from the mirror. :s

DD definitely had fun at school. :) She already declared a couple years ago that Halloween is her favorite day since she gets all the candies. :) DH is a health nuts and he doesn't want her to eat too much chocolate and candies, while I let her have some of those sometimes coz I want to have one myself. I love my chocolate. What can I do? Halloween is the day she gets lots of candies without DH making a serious face to us. :) And we get to eat them, too. :)

I am exactly the same as you. I like hardware on shoes bags etc to match or compliment each other , but wallets do not have to match they just must look nice together preferably with a pop of color. I do some small paintings but not with super realism .

October was a big spendy month for me. 3 bags in (I think it's just 3!) and 2 listed for sale but not out yet. I did give one to my mom, so I guess that's one out. I have several more to list too. I'm not huge on SLGs, I rarely buy those.

Congrats on the house, vink!

Back to bags now. Pacolina we all have months that more come in then go out. The main thing we have discovered is that as long as we really use them it is not the end of the world. My problem was I not using them all , which has now changed. Congrats on your beautiful new bags.

My October recap is
1 bag in, 0 bag out.
0 SLG in, 0 SLG out. :)

I got a reply on the house and we got it!!! :D The contract will be signed next week and hopefully the renovation and interior can start after that. I'm not looking for a total makeover. Just something like a tweak to make it match my liking. We still have my current condo for a current living. I'll have to go over this so many many times!!! I'm excited!!! :)

(Just thinking of moving the furniture get me nervous. I'll have to get over this.) :)

Awesome!

This passed week I rotated bags quite a bit. I wore my Cole Haan tote, LV Totally Mm , and yesterday I wore my m0851 matador satchel

Great job rotating!

It is three inches not two. I normally am not a fan of still life's but I found this one unique.

Pretty!

Size comparison with an 11" by 14" smaller painting. Ignore how they are hung on the wall. They are just stuck there till we paint the living room this week .

I like the frog!

I do the mini paintings more as an idea for a larger painting or just to play a bit without committing to much time to one.
The mini paintings are cool too!
