As to organizers, personally, I can't make it work for me. I just accumulate 'junk' in it. So instead I use pouches to make it easy to switch bags. Speaking of switching bags, This is only the 2nd work week of 2015 for us here where I live and I've already used 4 bags. Then a different mini bag this past weekend. I'm enjoying hte rotation so far.

I am usually like that - organisers drive me mad! What I like about this one (aside from - well - it's PURPLE!) is the quality. It isn't going to look out of place inside a smart bag and it's going to add a little structure. This is the bag I'll be using it in (not my photo - one I pinched from purseblog - as I haven't yet got around to doing more than taking it our of it's dustbag and cooing over it lol).

Also - exciting news! Last week I thought I'd sold a bag. Anyway, it didn't work out and surprisingly I am happy about it. I was right when I said I had a small but perfect collection. I'm going to use it tomorrow. It's this one

and I'm going to wear it with an emerald green silk dress and black heels.
Anyway - that wasn't the exciting news! A few minutes ago, one of my Directors called and I'm getting another bonus!! Woo hoo!! An even bigger part of my excitement is this. Since I started posting here, I don't want anything new. So instead of splurging the way I always have, that money is going straight into my savings account. My one treat will be a sculpture of Norton - something happy to remember him by.

Have still been carrying my small Coach backpack; more out of laziness than love! Will try to change out of it today.

One of the bags I had listed sold for a price that I am happy with and my buyer paid immediately. I will get this one sent off today. The other one did not sell and I was both disappointed and relieved; if that makes any sense. I will re-evaluate to see if I am willing to take less or hold onto it a bit more.

I also added a purse to my Fashion Project box; my last donation that might qualify for a Nordstrom gift card. I have really enjoyed donating to this group since the money my stuff brings goes to charities that I choose. I will also mail this today; no chance for second thoughts! I plan to continue to donate to this group even now that the gift card promo is over. They have been so great and easy to deal with!

With the above, I am 2 bags out and no bags in this month. I cannot congratulate myself too much though, as I bought some shoes on Fri and have ordered another pair online. Oh well ...

paculina- I think like the others said it can work with a lot of outfits. Just plan some the night before you wear it, so you won't stress in the morning when you are in a hurry.

Lilpursekitty- This may sound crazy to you but could you adopt two kittens that are a tiny bit older and have had a few shots already. When I was single and working late hours I adopted two kittens . They were so sweet and cuddly when I came home but during the day they had each other to play with. Just something to think about.

Mimmy- great job on wearing the backpack. How are you feeling about it now?

As for me I have been staying in the bag I bought in Switzerland years ago. It has sentimental value. When I visited my grandmother before she passed away ,she gave me money and told me to buy something special just for me and not to spend it on the kids. This is what I had bought , so now when ever I wear it I think of her smiling face.

I love your Bal bag, Clevercat! Love the color so much! It's so elegant looking. And congrats on your bonus and on adding it to your savings account. This thread is really helpful. It made us realize that we have already beautiful bags in our closets; we just have to rotate them more often to enjoy and appreciate them more

I was waiting for DH in our garden (I accompanied him to their office to report for his dispatch to his new ship by Jan-end) and I snapped this photo of my mint colored RM MAC. Yeah, too bad she's quite dirty now I've already cleaned her with Apple Leather conditioner but not all dirt was wiped out. Maybe I need to use another cleaner. Any suggestions? We might have it here in our country. Btw, the key charm I'm using with the bag was from DH. He bought it from Sweden (thus the flag and moose charms). I moved out of my MAM but just for today. Tomorrow I'll try to use a different bag

Hello all I feel like I am always catching up however I do love reading about how everyone is getting on so it's in no way a complaint! Such a lovely group of people.

I had quite a manic weekend however I did get to use my cobalt blue Fossil Sydney satchel as a pop of colour in all this dreary weather in the UK:



My new favourite (my Le Pliage) has also been getting more airings this weekend, with all the rain it has been perfect. In other news....I have sold my MBMJ Goodbye Columbus tote, great bag but I just wasn't in love with it so hopefully it has gone to someone now who will really be able to enjoy it. I also sold a Ted Baker clutch bag that I was given for Christmas, I didn't count it in my original list of bags as I knew it would be sold. That sounds awful, it just wasn't to my taste.
The Prada is still at consignment and I haven't had any news, have my fingers and toes crossed for good news soon

Holy smokes! I am seriously behind big, big time.😨 Every chance I try to catch up and I come back to where I left off, I am way behind again. lol. It's exciting to know so many of us want to shop from our own closets this year. I am sorry but I won't be able to quote each individually (not to mention I am still catching up). I see that many beautiful bags are coming out to play and some new bags are coming in to join old friends. Also saw some beautiful collections here. Lots of purging and selling which is motivation for me. Great job and wonderful eye candy, everyone. Recently, I have been obsessing about getting a LV mc cosmetic pouch and sarah wallet. Rumor is that it's being discontinued?? That confuses me since it looks like the mc is available in the new version of the sarah wallet. If it's being discontinued why are they making more in the new wallet style. Maybe the slg's are not being discontinued? Either way, I need to stop obsessing over them. Arg...

Love mint, this is too cute. I have a Kate Spade in a similar color and even though I sprayed it with Meltonian it got denim transfer. I just can't keep light-colored bags clean.

How do you all secure your handbags at work? Are you okay with not locking up your bags?

I have a drawer at my desk I can lock. This is what determines what can and cannot be a work bag, if it'll fit in the drawer.

But I feel I neglect my larger bags because of this. So if I took my larger Longchamp totes, they won't fit in the drawer unless I squashed them in. I restrict myself from purchasing large, structured bags, which is kind of a bummer because I like them. No Neverfulls for me, it won't fit.

And there are some I must lock up. My Chanel flap, my Evelyne, any LV, any small bag, they must be locked up.

But if you don't have a locked cabinet/drawer, how do you secure your items?


ETA: Is it bad that I don't remember any of the bags I sold/gave away/ returned last year?
