wow, great memory! yes, last year she was one of my great debates but i'm happy to have kept her - i just can't find leather like that any more and i'm a sucker for brown leather bagsI really really like this bag! The leather looks sooooo lush. 😍 Do I remember right, that you were undecided last year about letting her go? Good, that you've kept her...
great job on the purging and finding 'new' things! I also spent some time in the closet i have at my parents and found a few items I'll be able to use when summer rolls around.Thank you! Yes, we're all missing Norton so I'm spending as much time as I can distracting them from the grief...
I've purged my wardrobe and have found just SO. MUCH. to donate...ugh, I wasted so much money. But the upside is an animal rescue will benefit and also I found two dresses that were always too small for me - now they fit perfectly so I have 'new' things to wear to next week's meetings. Yay me. I am going to spend an hour or so now looking for a new wardrobe.
Meanwhile I have spent some money today. I needed to find a purse organiser before I could use my new-to-me Saint Laurent bag. I've just ordered this - in purple to match the bag

Can't wait for it to arrive!
congrats, can't wait to see it!I ended up getting the Montorguiel PM. It's in great condition and love the shoulder carry aspect.
Thanks for the ideas of the twillys. I only have 1 or 2 but just never use them. Going to check out your thread now.
wow, great bags! I don't think I've see either of these. They're beautiful!Bake- I love your new Longchamp. It looks almost like a stingray pattern.
Clevercat-Great job fitting back into your smaller sizes. I hope to follow in your footsteps.
Yesterday, I wore my LV beaubourg ad then in the evening we went to dinner in an area that is not so good, but the restaurant is fantastic so I switched out to a leather bag I picked up in Switzerland years ago.
This is a gorgeous color!I am using my Christmas gift bag todayIt is MK medium bowler bag in claret. Love the color!

Something fantastic will come along when you have saved up your fun money =) it WILL happenThe blue Burberry leather tote I was eying is sold out on the Canadian website. It was not meant to be... I guess I'll just have to keep looking at other brands. This is the second blue purse I missed out on because I wanted to actually save up my fun money for instead of dipping into my savings. Can't win![]()
great job!So I decided to purge more clothes (house clothes) and I ended up with extra cloth bins.
So I put all my LPs in one cloth bin, then thin bags in another (Burberry, pochette, pouches, Dooney bag) and plopped both bins up top. Since it's free and organized, I'm happy.
Sorted my scarves by silk and winter, repurposed an LV and Chanel bag boxes.
The only thing I need to get now is a plastic shoe bin for the keychains which will fit perfectly in between the bins.
And now the small cheapy shelf I have can hold my Prada and speedy without getting squished. Nothing is squished now! And no pulling out 3 bags to get 1.
I feel so organized. Lol with room to spare, but don't hope to fill any time soon.
Thank you all for the ideas!![]()
way to rotate! Once I go through my 'debate' bags, I hope to rotate more this year.Tracking my bag use and I've used 4 so far this month. Hopefully I can get some more into the rotation. Sales are slow. I got fed up with a few things that haven't been moving and listed them for $1 (plus shipping). That may backfirebut at least hopefully they'll sell and I can move on. Need to list a few more things. Played around with my WOC and it definitely fits everything I need it to, so that's good but I'm still on the fence. Not sure if I'm worried about the lambskin, want something more under the radar or what.
+1I like the violet! It's a funky pop of color. I think it would look great with navy, gray & mustard tones
this is such a fun color! I'd even say maybe some dark green, definitely gray.OK ladies, I need your help. My MK Hamilton in violet. I don't know what to pair it with. It's kind of an odd shade of purple, I don't know. It's not a dressy shade, like plum or lavender or royal purple. It's like a bright purple. The flash made it brighter than it actually is, it's not quite that bright. What could I wear it with?
Congrats on your Monty!I ended up getting the Montorguiel PM. It's in great condition and love the shoulder carry aspect.

Please do show a pic of your purple bag!Meanwhile I have spent some money today. I needed to find a purse organiser before I could use my new-to-me Saint Laurent bag. I've just ordered this - in purple to match the bag

Ooh! I like it! It looks comfy to carry.
I pinned more ways to wear a twilly. I'm excited.
Great job in fitting in smaller sizes. Definitely need to do that too.
And thanks for the pic on that brand of liners. I gotta look it up.
Thanks! The pattern is really cool.
ETA: I must say, DC, you have a great collection of bags from so many places.
Thank you!
I haven't. But I saw on the feedback forum that it's getting to be a problem. :/
I really feel bag content, except for the last one on my wishlist. Lol.
I am really grateful for the input to go only get the bags I've been wanting for a long time. I looked at the WOC again yesterday and knew I wouldn't be as happy if I spent the money on that instead of the other things I got or am planning to get. So thank you all for knocking sense into me.
And I feel like I'm getting into silks, but I'm picky on my patterns. I told my H SA that I'm picky on my patterns and prefer different things. Not big on florals and animals, it's too common. Beautiful but common. Lol. So I'm waiting to see what the new themes will be so I can see if any catch my fancy.
Also, we were discussing how I typically (both my old SA and a new one I met were talking to me) come in at a good time. If the store is busy, I don't go in. If they're attending someone, I wait patiently. They liked that I usually know what I'm looking for, but am open to looking for other things. They also said they liked that I wasn't demanding and was willing to take the time to be served properly as it is part of the experience at shopping at Hermes.
I told them that I didn't mind waiting as long as I wasn't being ignored or won't be dropped if someone else came in. I also said I preferred how casual they were and that they didn't mind my easily distracted shopping (I typically will ask for the item I want, then will peek at other cases for other things). Also complimented their friendly service and that they had made every single purchase I had at SCP Hermes pleasant and fun.
So patience wins great service and awesome SAs who will find what I want. Haha. SCP can be hit or miss. But they were pretty candid on their not so pleasant customers who were so demanding. Like yes, it's H, you expect luxurious service, but you also have to wait because everyone gets that service. It was an interesting shopping trip, lol.
End of long story. Lol.
Scarf stock pics on the Stylebook thread. I did get the green twilly just for my Evelyne. Can't wait to use it.

Everyone with me!
Just say no to final sale!
Lol. Closed a window right now and feel really good.
Thanks for all the pochette love!!! And fyi, it can fit more than I have pictured... it's like a tiny Mary Poppins bag!
egg- I got that BS hand lotion in a little gift set (that was half off after xmas!). It's perfect for popping in my bag. And I like your cute little Coach bag!
jenny- That's how I picture my dogs... in heaven running around young and healthy.
dc- Sometimes I carry the pochette like a clutch, but I usually have it on my shoulder. Great job shopping your closet!
lou- Great jacket! Can't wait to see a mod shot. And congrats on the LV... that's a great style! Looking forward to pics!
clevercat- Definitely give yourself ample time to grieve and wait to make any major decisions right now. Donating to an animal charity shop sounds like a wonderful idea!
bake- Cool print on the LC! And great job purging/organizing!
tuuli- Gorgeous color on the MK!
astro- Sorry about missing the bag, but something better will come along! Plus, if you can just buy it outright without dipping into your savings, it'll make the purchase all that much sweeter!
paculina- Love your hamilton! I have the selma mini messenger in violet. I usually wear mine with gray, black or navy blue (my winter wardrobe is pretty neutral). I plan on wearing it with more fun colors during the summer.
Very nice tote - it looks really useful as well as being a pretty bag!
I'm still holding strong on my ban despite considerable work-related stress. Sometimes I feel pretty mediocre at my job, but I realize that buying purses won't fix that.
What's been harder to resist is adopting another kitty. I mentioned at the outset of this thread that my sweet kitty passed away in mid-December. I still miss her every day. I resolved not to get another cat for awhile, but now I'm feeling more like I could rescue another kitty. It wouldn't be a practical decision right now, though - end of life costs for my kitty who passed away put a dent in my emergency fund and my living situation (small apt, working long hours) isn't the best setup for a new cat. Still, I can't help but think that a kitty would prefer it to the pound...
