Hi ladies! I finally made it over here! So today while my LO was napping, I was able to work on my StyleBook app. I added all of my sweaters and sleeveless tops/blouses. Seriously, why does one need 25 sleeveless tops, 3 being white/cream bottom ups?? Anyway, I've added enough to actually start adding looks! Here's what I'm wearing to work tomorrow (I work in a very casual environment and it's going to be in the 70s in LA):

Jeans: 7FAMK bootcut
Top: Joie silk sleeveless blouse
Sweater: Equipment cardigan
Shoes: Vince Camuto wedges
Bag: Madewell leather tote
Jewelry/Accessories: Cartier love bracelet, Tory Burch logo studs, Kendra Scott large orange pendant, Chloe oversized sunglasses

Oh I like this! Love the colors complimenting each other.

Thanks everyone for the bag love!! Sorry I'm not tagging everyone but my app is being wonky.

DC - love the story behind your bag. Just love it.

Pacolina - very cool bag!

Clevercat - love your bal!!

MSD - I do hope they bring it back but until then will be keeping my eye out for one... For fun. :p

Ebby - lovely fossil bag.

Bake - when I worked in a big office I actually put it in my overhead cabinet in my office. I moved on from that and my company is smaller with a few trusted people around so I can leave it on its chair and not worry when I'm there.

In full force organizing and got my little ones involved. Made a mini wardrobe closet for them for dress up clothes and man do they have a ton of play clothes. The middle one (little miss spitfire) took the initiative and organized the two bins (tiaras, handbags, and heels in one, hats, wands, and Pom poms in another). 😄 seeing it done is making my OCD feel serene. :) I have another cabinet to tackle and then will feel good about my decluttering efforts for the month.

In other news we're in the middle of a remodel. Next week or so they will be tearing down the wall to our master closet to make it bigger. I'm feeling uneasy about it and done know how I'll live out of boxes. The idea of a box with shoes all over the place is making feel like I'm going to start to twitch. Don't even get me started on my bags sitting in a box. 😁 ok, total first world problems and with that I'll shut up. :)

To everybody who have posted a bag - they are all SO beautiful. I can't stop drooling.
To everybody who is feeling sad and low at the moment - try to keep your spirits high. I'm an emotional shopper, too, and shopping never helps to ease the pain away. I send you many hugs and positive thoughts.
To everybody who will get a bonus/a renovation of their homes - hooray! These are great news!

Well, yesterday was my first day back in office. Therefore and because of the poor weather and my black coat I changed into one of my most used bags, the Modalu Kensington. I got this bag back in 2010, I guess. I was lusting after the Mulberry Alexa and thought I would never be able to afford one, so I've bought this inspired bag in the sale (it was around 150€). As I finally purchased the Alexa last year, I was determind to let the Kensinton go. Because: I don‘t really like the inner organisation of this bag. The pocket in the middle takes away a lot of room. And my daily banana doesn't fit. :D

The leather is not of good quality (and so is the hardware). Both look really worn now, and the shoulder strap will brake one day, I fear.
And finally I really don‘t like the deformation of the sides of the bag. They are some kind of squishily turned upwards - I should have taken a picture.

So why do I keep it?
Sentimental reasons. It is kind of hard to let this battered old battleship go...

Above all the wear and tear it has a mark of toothpaste on the front (don‘t ask), which is not visible on the fotos but irl. I would really feel awkward to give it away to somebody even as a gift.

It is my only tossing around leather bag. Rain, colour transfer, other suspicious substances could do no more harm to this bag.

egg, I am glad that it seems that your KS is working.

LVintage, saving money for a major home remodel is a great motivator. We did a minor remodel last year. Minor, so curbed my spending a bit; but really got me to purge and organize big time!

AnnaFreud, your outfit is great! Yeah, putting everything on the app is a big eye opener. I have close to 100 tops; and this is after a major purge. ;)

lou, good luck with the remodel! Big disruption, but I'm excited too. Glad your little one's got their closet organized too!

Ludmilla, I love seeing a well loved bag! It shows a history all it's own. I have a Fendi clutch that shows wear and I only occasionally take pics of it because of this. I actually still love it though, and it's great that I don't have to worry about it!

The weather forecast calls for rain today, so I have switched into my Le Pliage. I love that I don't worry about it! I thought about adding another one because it is such a worry free bag; I don't think I love it enough to buy another one though.

So in keeping with Ludmilla's theme, what are your rainy day or worry free bags?

How do you all secure your handbags at work? Are you okay with not locking up your bags?

I have a drawer at my desk I can lock. This is what determines what can and cannot be a work bag, if it'll fit in the drawer.

But I feel I neglect my larger bags because of this. So if I took my larger Longchamp totes, they won't fit in the drawer unless I squashed them in. I restrict myself from purchasing large, structured bags, which is kind of a bummer because I like them. No Neverfulls for me, it won't fit.

And there are some I must lock up. My Chanel flap, my Evelyne, any LV, any small bag, they must be locked up.

But if you don't have a locked cabinet/drawer, how do you secure your items?

ETA: Is it bad that I don't remember any of the bags I sold/gave away/ returned last year?
That is good because it they were not meant to be. The only one I really think about is the one madewell tote that I kind of wish I kept. I have looked at others they had but they always had some weird leather never as nice a the first one.

LVk8 - Great job on rotating your bags this new year as well! Would love to see ur sukey and pochette in action :)

Well today is another day bc I was in my City yesterday. Mostly bc I had a meeting with a new client & needed to carry files. Other than tote style bags it's the only purse I have right now that can fit a padfolio or laptop for meetings. My MJ Stella was my go-to work bag forever but it wound up in a box with several belts & shoes that I wanted to bring when we moved that wound up in the storage unit on accident. Whomp whomp... Someone on TPF recently posted a Stella reveal & it made me miss mine so hard! It's my only purse that didn't make the move. Can't wait to reunite when we are finally settled in a new house ❤️

Definitely my Le Pliage. I wouldn't mind acquiring a second one in a larger size since they're so packable / useful. I also have a tiny hunter green leather Coach crossbody that I don't care if it gets rained on or spilled on since its a dark color, hard wearing & of indeterminate age. Literally the only "damage" it's ever sustained since it was passed on to me is when I wore it with a sequin pencil skirt on New Years & the back side scratched on the sequins while I was dancing. Leather conditioner fixed it right back up 👍

On the worry scale though I'd say my City is probably the only true delicate flower of the group & the rest are fairly low to medium on the barometer. My MJs and Sukey are Iron Maidens. My Kate Spade nautical tote is built for beach / boat days. Even my Mahina has stayed in great shape after being worn in rain / snow when I lived in Chicago. In terms of LV canvas, I only have mono/DA so there's vachetta handles to keep in mind but nothing too crazy since the ones I own are low on the vachetta to canvas ratio

Yay for the bonus!! And double yay for hte savings!! This Bal is really for you then, or at least, it's not yet time to let it go. Funny, I have a somewhat similar (not exactly the same) experience this weekend. I already took pictures of 1 bag I was planning to list in ebay among other bags. When I was making the listing for that particular bag and was just about to upload pictures, I stopped right there and then and saved my draft for later. It was not yet time to let the bag go...

Sorry to hear about your MAC. They said to use Apple cleaner (not conditioner) for extreme cases. But I tried that on a light colored bag but I didn't think it did much.

Nice bag you have there! I heard that Fossil bags are made well. What do you think about the leather quality?

The leather is lovely and soft, I like all the various colours and the price point is really good too :)

Thank you to everyone who has commented on it and wished me luck in the sales. Seeing some lovely bags on this thread, it's so good to hear what others are doing :)

Hello all :) I feel like I am always catching up however I do love reading about how everyone is getting on so it's in no way a complaint! Such a lovely group of people.

I had quite a manic weekend however I did get to use my cobalt blue Fossil Sydney satchel as a pop of colour in all this dreary weather in the UK:

My new favourite (my Le Pliage) has also been getting more airings this weekend, with all the rain it has been perfect. In other news....I have sold my MBMJ Goodbye Columbus tote, great bag but I just wasn't in love with it so hopefully it has gone to someone now who will really be able to enjoy it. I also sold a Ted Baker clutch bag that I was given for Christmas, I didn't count it in my original list of bags as I knew it would be sold. That sounds awful, it just wasn't to my taste.
The Prada is still at consignment and I haven't had any news, have my fingers and toes crossed for good news soon :)

Great bag!

I have a few drawers and a cabinet that I can lock my bags in but I usually just leave them out which is probably bad. Though 95% of the time I'm at my desk anyway.

Pic from my first day back to work.

For rainy days I'll switch to carry my LPs, but if I'm scheduled to carry my Speedy B or Alma, I'll carry it in the rain.
Beautiful!

Thank you all who replied about the desk storage. I've been constantly warned by others to store my stuff away. It's just a bummer I can't leave my larger bags around when they won't fit in my drawer.

Though now, I'm at my desk more than in the labs. So at least I can monitor my stuff for most of the day.

Thank you! This app has definitely been worth the $4.

Mimmy, I'm afraid to know my number after I'm done with my entire closet! Still have to do long sleeved and short sleeved blouses, dresses, and coats.

louvigilante, I got the idea of pairing orange and navy from someone else on this thread. Also, at the last minute while getting dressed this morning, I swapped out the orange pendant necklace for a blue one.
