I have never bought bag charms. If a bag comes with a charm then I leave it there. But I don't buy to put on bags. It's only here in tpf that I learned about ladies hanging these decors on bags. Call me ignorant, lol!

This holiday season, I received a token gift from a (male) colleague (and likely chosen by his wife) and it is a bag charm! It's a local souvenir based on the packaging. I know nothing about bag charms but I suppose you use the same hardware color as the bag? The most match of this new bag charm of mine is the regular hardware of Balenciaga motorcycle bags. So today, I'm using the charm on my Latte City. I hid the tassle and the charm becomes the zipper pull.

Thank you all so much for the compliments on my new pup! He's definitely my new baby! :hbeat:

This week I'm carrying my LV Artsy. I'm obsessed with this bag. I love the lining and the 6 slip pockets! View attachment 2852564

Love this! Makes me want to swing by LV and try it on. Must. Resist.

I had a rough day today at work and after. I headed back to the gym for the umpteenth time after a break and caught a look at myself in a mirror. I'm very unhappy about all of the weight I have put on recently. But I got on a treadmill, did my best, stuck with my diet, and, most importantly for this thread, I didn't buy anything.

When I am sad, lonely, stressed, depressed, I am getting better at recognizing that buying something won't help in the end.

Aww big hugs! You sound like me - like many of us here, I suppose - it takes time to understand that buying something is not going to resolve underlying issues - the temporary high after a purchase is just that - temporary. Anyway - just wanted to send you a hug and hope that today is a brighter one!

This is so pretty - as is your City. Latte is a great neutral.

Does anyone here have a SLP Cabas Chyc? Do you use a purse organiser with it and if so, which one? Looking at mine, the base of the bag seems very unstructured. At the moment I have a piece of cardboard in there (very attractive!) but just wondering if I could find something that would give it a bit more structure and organise the contents at the same time. I haven't had chance to take photos of it yet, but it's this style and colour (photo from Purse Blog)

Try not to be too hard on yourself lilpursekitty. It's shows great willpower that you went to the gym after a rough day. It's also good that you recognized not to shop as a remedy.

Liloursekitty - one day at a time. Good job. The hard work will pay off!!! I need to do something today. I know I'll go hiking tmw but still.

Thedseer - thanks. Its azure.

Mimmy - I remember that. Shame it won't sell higher. Could you list it higher and see if it goes?

Denverite - thanks. Love your artsy!!

I may try listing it higher at some point, lou.

Thanks the thedseer and eggtart for the backpack compliments!

Great....you all got me started googling Linea Pelle (that pink wallet really is beautiful!) and I found out something I didn't need to know.

This purse right here is called the laurel satchel. And it's pink.

And my first name is Laurel.

So that means I'm supposed to get it, right? :giggles:

It's funny, I have looked at a wristlet, Gucci, and a belt bag, Elizabeth and James, recently; both a light pink!

Not to enable, but is's really pretty!

I don't have any helpful comments on bag organizers, but this bag is stunning! The purple makes me smile too!

I purchased from Amazon. PurseN Organizer insert. It has pockets galore and even a long zip pocket. I can take a picture if you like?

Hey I am sorry to here about your friend and I will say a prayer!

I would love to see your organizer. I found a good one for my small bags, but I would love one for the medium sized or larger ones. I love your Artsy as well. Such a beauty! Thank you for the prayer . He needs it as his kidneys have shut down.

Mimmy- Your little back pack is adorable.

lilpursekitty- Your not alone in the stress shopping. Good for you that you went to the gym.

Bake-Safe flight home! Can't wait to see all the goodies you bought. As long as it does not snow today, I am going to test out the tiny D&B bag today. You are right on how I am going to work it. Anything of real value will be on my person and anything else will be in my mini Harrods tote. Here is an old shot of it. I think it should work fine.

Thanks dcooney!

I think it was on this thread, last year where pics were posted of celebrities carrying multiple bags. You will be rocking it like a celebrity! ;)

This is very pretty! But would you wear it enough? I tend to wear dark jeans so I would be terrified of color transfer. Just something to think about.

LOL You crack me up. I was thinking more along the line if I had to go to the bathroom and the tote disappeared there would be nothing valuable in it to cry over.

Tuuli35 - I've had the same experience with a pre-loved AW Baby Rocco I bought through Bonanza. It smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The seller insisted she did not smoke etc. etc. I let it air out for about 2 weeks but the smell didn't completely go away though it significantly subsided.

Smoke smell is very hard to get rid of. :( I bought once Dior SLG which reeked of smoke, it took me 6 months to get all the smell out.

I was another stress shopper but trying to avoid it now. What helped me is that after some time I realized that I avoided using the items I bought to cheer me up. Emotions were like smell which stack to the bags and nothing helped, as soon as I took the bag out, I wasn't happy but remembered the low moments of my life. Sold/gave all away. Chocolate is unhealthier but cheaper fix.

I don't have the bag, but it is very pretty purple.

It's cute little bag.

Lou I also adore the teal color, as well as Mimmy's vintage tasseled Coachie, MSD Bal, DC's Doonsicle and all the other gorgeous closet finds that I may accidentally have missed since this thread is lightning fast ❤️

Thank you for viewing!

Speedy's are the best! Have you tried a purse organizer? I find using one allows me to switch bags daily with ease. I never have to worry about leaving anything behind because everything is in the organizer.

I have stuck with pouches because many of my purses are different sizes / dimensions. Does it matter or does an organizer that comfortably fits your smallest purse in rotation? I am just picturing an organizer that fits my Speedy (25 size) going sideways/items tumbling all over inside my Sukey or Mahina

These are the kinds of things that I try to stop and figure out exactly what the issue is before I make any decisions about getting rid of it. I do this with clothes too. Why do I not use it? Too big? Too small? Too heavy? Not sure what to wear it with? (This is a common one for me) Not practical? Takes too much babying? Sometimes just working through what the issue really is can help me get it into rotation or confirm that yeah, this isn't going to work and I need to let it go.

Good luck!

Totally agree. I went really (really) ruthless last year & got rid of bags that were too similar to other bags I owned and liked better, not comfortable / dimensions didn't work / strap drop was awkward / etc. Now I actually use all of my purses & being extra mindful of what I own has made me a smarter shopper when I add something new. You can do it thedseer!

clevercat I also love purple! I have a purple Tory Burch crossbody that is always on / off my chopping block (weird size, corner wear is bugging me) & the color is a big reason why it's been so hard to say goodbye!

Cue the Boyz II Men acapella....

Gah stinky bags are the worst! I had a perfume sample that exploded all over the inside of a Prada pochette about a month ago & I'm still fighting off the traces of Gucci Flora

Great on the body, awful on a purse interior :yucky:
