Do you know if RM has discontinued the MAB and MAM line? They aren't on the website anymore. I only have one--the basket weave MAM with purple zipper track, made in NYC. I always thought it was one of her best, most classic styles. I hope it isn't gone forever.

I'm not sure but I haven't been able to find them either! I really hope not. The MAB, MAM, and Nikki are/were her best bags! I love the BBW ones, you're so lucky to have a made in NYC one and I definitely hope you post some pics of that beauty!

I know the feeling so well. I am embarrassed to admit that I repurchased a Fossil wallet I sold some time ago. But Linea Pelle seems to have a sale on Dylan line quite often, there might still be done on 6pm. I apologize for enabling.

These are the kinds of things that I try to stop and figure out exactly what the issue is before I make any decisions about getting rid of it. I do this with clothes too. Why do I not use it? Too big? Too small? Too heavy? Not sure what to wear it with? (This is a common one for me) Not practical? Takes too much babying? Sometimes just working through what the issue really is can help me get it into rotation or confirm that yeah, this isn't going to work and I need to let it go.

One of my friends once gave a very simple reason why some things are getting used less and others more, She was always in a hurry to get ready in the morning, so she just took and wore what was first in closet or washed and it ended up being the same items over and over again. She just did not have time to look for anything else. I found it to be true also for myself and now am trying to take time for taking new things out.

This purse right here is called the laurel satchel. And it's pink.

Ebby, Jenny, Surfchick, Lou, TejasMama, Devenrite - thanks for the encouragement on my RM purchase and first for the year! Yes, the MAMs/MABs and Nikkis are such classic RM pieces and very hard to resist, particularly in certain colors. This green is one of those imo. I had a BBW MAB with red zt, I bought it pre-loved and I think was part of a special order. Though I loved the features (gunmetal hardware and the red zt), I found it too big. I sold it last year and I'm left (in so far as BBWs are concerned) with a BBW MAM with blue zt with blue/cream stripe lining which I don't think I can part with even if I've not used it for a while. Would be nice to have in purple/fuschia zt!

DC - I hope you find that bag that works for your 'bleacher days'.

Tuuli35 - I've had the same experience with a pre-loved AW Baby Rocco I bought through Bonanza. It smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The seller insisted she did not smoke etc. etc. I let it air out for about 2 weeks but the smell didn't completely go away though it significantly subsided.

Lou - you have such a nice MAM!

Bake - safe travels! I agree that one needs a vacation after a vacation!

Last year, maybe around the 3rd quarter or so of the year, somebody asked in the RM Team Discussion thread under the RM sub-forum exactly the same question. The RM team said no, it is not being discontinued. But I don't know, there are really no new releases...

I really hope they do not discontinue this. I agree with you, it is one of her best and most classic styles, along with the Nikki.

I still regret selling my made in NYC black MAM w/rose gold. I hop RM continues to do made in NYC in the classic styles. The quality was much better too than some of the other recent RM bags.

For those of you who followed this thread last year; you may remember I posted a couple of vintage Coach bags; one is even made in Italy. I had not used this bag at all in 2014; had not even put it in my Stylebook app. Was planning on selling it, but saw that others had sold, but for very low prices! So I put it in my Stylebook closet and will see if I use it much before I make a final decision. This is really a hard bag to read the creed on ... made in USA!

I had a rough day today at work and after. I headed back to the gym for the umpteenth time after a break and caught a look at myself in a mirror. I'm very unhappy about all of the weight I have put on recently. But I got on a treadmill, did my best, stuck with my diet, and, most importantly for this thread, I didn't buy anything.

When I am sad, lonely, stressed, depressed, I am getting better at recognizing that buying something won't help in the end.

*hugs* I hope you had a better day tomorrow and great job on doing the small things to reach your goals. It's really the small things =)

Thx! I'll have to check them out next time. What I don' like about keeping my bags on the top shelf is that the shelf is just a bit too short and I don't like how my bags hang over a bit. Makes me feel like that one little corner will develop some weird slouch to it.

I listed/relisted a few things this weekend, and shipped off a small item that I sold (for a bit more than I expected). Still have one thing off at consignment-may talk to them about lowering the price. I should get paid for the consignment item that sold 12/31 sometime this week. So I feel productive with sales. Probably have 3-4 more bags I should list. If I sell everything, and keeping in mind my planned purchases for the year, that should put me at or close to my 12 bag goal by the end of the year.

The BV is sitting in a box in my hallway, waiting to be sent back. The pillow is a perfect style, but the color didn't make my heart sing. So I will bite the bullet and get one from the current collection (aka not on sale) sometime in spring.

No need to hurry though, I will be in NYC end of the month but trecking around with DD so I will be in need for a bigger bag to carry our gloves, scarves and hats when we are indoors.



To make up for this I got a bag from the Burberry sale last night... It's a small tote in fabric and black leather, I am very curious and excited!

There was a question about closets by TejasMama. I actually spent a good part of yesterday sorting my closet. One of my issues with both clothes and bags is out of sight, out of mind. So I wanted to make sure I could see everything so I could make sure to wear and use everything. I cleared out a bunch of clutter that was making half the closet difficult to access, I repurposed a piece of furniture from the room and I rearranged some stuff. It's not perfect, but I'm a lot happier with it and I'm hoping it's going to function a little better for me.

As you can see, I took a tall media cabinet I had in the room and turned it on its side so that I have a table and a little extra storage. I had stacked some containers there before and it created a small surface to put things on, and I discovered I really liked having that there. Wasn't really sure if I was brilliant or inviting disaster with the cabinet solution, but it seems to work.

That clear plastic drawer on the right has my camis and tank tops in it, a solution I was pleased to discover via Google since it saves some hangers and hanging space. The basket in the middle has my wristlets. And the left end has some sweaters that the instructions specifically say not to hang. Both of those still have tags on them, so they're on my list to make sure to wear this year.

And of course you see some of my bags on the bottom shelf and up on the top of the closet. The box on the top shelf has the bags that can lay flat (ie Coach Bleecker Daily) and 2 MK minis.

And some of my shoes. My boots are on the floor on the other side of the closet. Still haven't really found a good solution for those.

Also, I have a LOT of clothes. The closet is getting close to full already and I still have a whole laundry load's worth of clothes to put in there.

Great way to repurpose the media cabinet. Looks very organized too.

I have a confession to make. It's just day 5 of the new year and I've already made my first purchase. I said up to 3 purchases only this year, so that just leaves 2 more for 360 days!

I bought a Rebecca Minkoff Nikki in Leaf (green) on ebay today. Well, I actually said no more RMs for a while since I'm already downsizing my huge collection. But this is a color I've wanted a long time and I rarely see this put up for sale, in fact, I only saw it once or 2x in ebay in 1 1/2 years that I was regularly looking. I think this was released around 2009. I got an unused one and I hope it is really in good condition as the seller said. I actually passed up on this listing towards the end of December. But it was relisted, and there, no more holding back! I'm so weak.

Can't wait to see your Nikki. I have a green one too, but don't know the official color.

A big welcome to all the new people! So excited that the group is much bigger! More support to meet our goals!

I'm thinking to reorganize my closet again so everything is visible. I have limited space so I have to be creative in my storage.

Currently there's a small shelf for half my bags, with SLGs are on the bottom in a repurposed LV box. I keep my bigger, structured bags on the top shelf, but I am not happy with it as it doesn't utilize all the space there.

I'll have to update my stylebook closet to reflect my new purchases, and remove the items I've taken out. This makes it easy to remember what I have.

Second to last day in London! In a week I'll be back at work. Lol. I kind of miss my routine, strangely enough. And as much as I love my Burberry bag, I want to use my Evelyne and I can't do that until I'm back home. Lol

Have a safe trip back. I love going on vacation, but it's always nice to come home.
