Thanks Jenny! They transported him to another hospital, but still no word yet. It does not look good but at least he survived the transfer. He is not old so I am believing this is in his favor.

Love how this thread moves so fast and lovely meeting everyone as well, 2015 is going to be a good year! :)

Denverite - your new pup is so so so cute! I love rescue dogs, we have two and it really has been worthwhile.

Paculina - I am definitely pinching some of your closet ideas for my own dressing room, it needs a bit of reorganisation.

MSD - Sounds like your new RM is a real beauty, can't wait to see pics!

Mimmy - good luck with your listings, am in the same boat myself.

Dccooney - I've been working from home today and shamefully haven't been out yet so no bag in use today although going into the office tomorrow so will have decide tonight what I am taking in.

Bake - safe travels back, know what you mean about getting into a routine again.

There was a question about closets by TejasMama. I actually spent a good part of yesterday sorting my closet. One of my issues with both clothes and bags is out of sight, out of mind. So I wanted to make sure I could see everything so I could make sure to wear and use everything. I cleared out a bunch of clutter that was making half the closet difficult to access, I repurposed a piece of furniture from the room and I rearranged some stuff. It's not perfect, but I'm a lot happier with it and I'm hoping it's going to function a little better for me.

As you can see, I took a tall media cabinet I had in the room and turned it on its side so that I have a table and a little extra storage. I had stacked some containers there before and it created a small surface to put things on, and I discovered I really liked having that there. Wasn't really sure if I was brilliant or inviting disaster with the cabinet solution, but it seems to work.

That clear plastic drawer on the right has my camis and tank tops in it, a solution I was pleased to discover via Google since it saves some hangers and hanging space. The basket in the middle has my wristlets. And the left end has some sweaters that the instructions specifically say not to hang. Both of those still have tags on them, so they're on my list to make sure to wear this year.

And of course you see some of my bags on the bottom shelf and up on the top of the closet. The box on the top shelf has the bags that can lay flat (ie Coach Bleecker Daily) and 2 MK minis.

And some of my shoes. My boots are on the floor on the other side of the closet. Still haven't really found a good solution for those.

Also, I have a LOT of clothes. The closet is getting close to full already and I still have a whole laundry load's worth of clothes to put in there.

I love the idea of using the cabinet--it looks like it helps you group different categories of items. Part of why I regularly clean out and organize my closet is strictly a mental thing--it makes me feel better for some reason, and I like seeing things all organized and streamlined. You accomplished a lot in a short period of time!:smile1:

Thanks dcooney! I am sorry to hear about your friend's DH, very stressful. I too stress shop; but this is another thing I am working on.

I think you bring up an important point Tuuli; the pre-loved bags I was looking at were online with NO returns! I have a problem with weird smells, were you able to get rid of the odor?

I washed it and it seems to be gone. Lesson learned/reminded. :)

Mimmy- great job listing more stuff...
I only have one cheap one left that hasn't sold. It may not seem that way but I actually have quite a bit of open space right now from all of last years sales. I am trying very hard not to fill it right back up. I find I am definately stress shopping. I have not bought but I do see the correlation . My friends DH is in critical condition and it has been touch and go the last two days . I keep distracting myself from worring by looking on line when I am not doing something else.

Best wished for your Friend's DH!

Wow good for you Stansy!! I will have to check that site out too, I would love to see what I could come up with :)

This is my favorite design:

I am so sorry to hear about your friend's DH. It must be hard to focus on anything when you are so worried about him. Online shopping, or browsing, is a common distraction. Do you like to read? crochet? Is there some other way you can channel that energy into something else? When my twins were in the NICU, we had times where we had to wait and I would read something funny just to take my mind off of everything for a bit. I hope your friend's DH will be ok.

I have a confession to make. It's just day 5 of the new year and I've already made my first purchase. I said up to 3 purchases only this year, so that just leaves 2 more for 360 days!

I bought a Rebecca Minkoff Nikki in Leaf (green) on ebay today. Well, I actually said no more RMs for a while since I'm already downsizing my huge collection. But this is a color I've wanted a long time and I rarely see this put up for sale, in fact, I only saw it once or 2x in ebay in 1 1/2 years that I was regularly looking. I think this was released around 2009. I got an unused one and I hope it is really in good condition as the seller said. I actually passed up on this listing towards the end of December. But it was relisted, and there, no more holding back! I'm so weak. ;)

I wouldn't beat yourself up over this because it was clearly a HTF bag that you've wanted for a long time. The RM Nikki, I think, is one of the best hobo styles out there. One of the few regrets I have is selling my Lapis one long ago. I still have my RM BBW MAM with the purple zipper and I really love it.

You still have two more for the year so carry this new Nikki, enjoy it for a few months and then look around again in the summer if you still have two items left. I think the key is to now enjoy this one and not immediately go searching for the next thing right after (been there, done that, sold it later).:D

Save travels home, bake! Can't wait to see Evelyne's debut; I'll be on the edge of my seat when you reveal all your goodies!

I did list 2 bags for sale, last night. May or may not sell of course, but it felt good to make a decision. Bags I like, but rarely use. They deserve to go to someone who will use them! Thanks, thedseer and others for your posts on selling bags. Gave me the nudge I needed to list these!

This is my philosophy! That's why I ended up selling a lot of my bags last year. I figured someone else would enjoy using them instead of collecting dust in my closet!

Great job on the organizing!

A big welcome to all the new people! So excited that the group is much bigger! More support to meet our goals!

I'm thinking to reorganize my closet again so everything is visible. I have limited space so I have to be creative in my storage.

Currently there's a small shelf for half my bags, with SLGs are on the bottom in a repurposed LV box. I keep my bigger, structured bags on the top shelf, but I am not happy with it as it doesn't utilize all the space there.

I'll have to update my stylebook closet to reflect my new purchases, and remove the items I've taken out. This makes it easy to remember what I have.

Second to last day in London! In a week I'll be back at work. Lol. I kind of miss my routine, strangely enough. And as much as I love my Burberry bag, I want to use my Evelyne and I can't do that until I'm back home. Lol

I do think it's a lot easier to get dressed in the morning when you can see everything. That way you don't have things in the back of the closet that doesn't get worn on a regular basis. I am one of those if it doesn't get touched in 12 months then out the door it goes!

You and I are in the same boat! I bought a few things on Jan 3! Haven't posted about the purchases yet since I have been too lazy to take pictures. Hopefully I can post pictures later today.

Thank you! Yes, as much as vacation is fun, I need to recover from vacation as well. Lol. I get tired from work then I get tired from vacation haha. I'm glad I planned a little break in between vacation and work to recover from both tiredness and jet lag. Haha. First world problems.

Can't wait to see your collection. Sounds like you have refined it to fit your needs.

What a great color! I love colorful slgs.

I can see why you can't change out of these two. They are gorgeous!!💙💙💙

Great organization. Glad to hear it's working for you so well.

I just did a collection reveal under bag show case in the general handbag forum and also the LV forum under bad reflection. You should check it out! The other is my well rounded content bag collection.
