2015 resolution - shopping from my own bag and wallet collection. Any one else?

I just did a collection reveal under bag show case in the general handbag forum and also the LV forum under bad reflection. You should check it out! The other is my well rounded content bag collection.

I tried out the wristlet I received and it is way too tiny. I might end up giving it to my dd . I went back to tj's and picked up the small barrel bag. It was very discounted and it fit my phone, sunnies + reading glasses, keys, LV zcp and even my vera bradley mini pouch with lip gloss etc. in it. I am going to use it for meets and bring a little harrods tote I already have with water , snacks and my book . I am going to count it as a slg. It is very small but because of the width it fits a lot. I just did not feel like wasting much money on this.

When I moved somehow I packed my purses but all my dust bags wound up in my storage unit (d'oh) so right now they're on display on the top shelf of my closet

As for what purse do I use most? I think I've become pretty great at rotating my purses! Joining this thread last year helped big time. Also being a one-wallet woman (only exception when I'm in a tiny bag, then I use a cles) & keeping purse items organized in pouches/SLGs makes transitioning between bags easier. Although I could prob stand to re-organize my pouches since things got jumbled up a bit around the holidays

Wow this thread moves fast.

I'm late to the party also, but my goals this year:

I spent an insane amount of money on bags, clothes and shoes in 2014. Probably the most expensive thing I bought was my Coach embossed woven mini Riley, but I just bought a LOT of stuff. And I haven't quite worked out yet how well I chose, but I'm pretty sure I've made some mistakes.

My goal for 2015 is to use every item in my closet - clothes, purses, shoes, wristlets. Jewelry would be nice too but I won't stress too much about that. Maybe 2016 for that. I'm hoping to figure out what can go and what I holes I need to fill.

I'm not really sure about buying bags this year. I have some other things to do with my money. I still want a Balenciaga, but I'm not sure I'm going to get it. I'm going to get my paralegal certificate in December, so maybe for that. I don't know. Spending that much on a bag is still a bit beyond me. I don't really know what I'm going to do as far as buying anything. Except a pair of black boots.

I like the idea of taking pictures of my outfits each day. Maybe I'll try to do that.

these are really good goals - I'd also like to use everything in my closet and if I don't, will probably let them go at the end of the year.

Here's the Riley and the rest of my Coach collection. There's at least one wristlet, maybe two, missing, but most of it is here.

LOVE your collection. You have so many of the things I want but passed on because I really indulged in the Legacy collection and just couldn't spend any more. Love love love the Riley, I was eyeing that same one for a long time - love the color scheme. Twins on the black and white checked wristlet!

The BV is sitting in a box in my hallway, waiting to be sent back. The pillow is a perfect style, but the color didn't make my heart sing. So I will bite the bullet and get one from the current collection (aka not on sale) sometime in spring.
No need to hurry though, I will be in NYC end of the month but trecking around with DD so I will be in need for a bigger bag to carry our gloves, scarves and hats when we are indoors.

To make up for this I got a bag from the Burberry sale last night... It's a small tote in fabric and black leather, I am very curious and excited!

And a member recommended Wink and Winn in another thread - boy it is fun to play around designing your very own bag! Sorry, no enabling intended here

I have a confession to make. It's just day 5 of the new year and I've already made my first purchase. I said up to 3 purchases only this year, so that just leaves 2 more for 360 days!

I bought a Rebecca Minkoff Nikki in Leaf (green) on ebay today. Well, I actually said no more RMs for a while since I'm already downsizing my huge collection. But this is a color I've wanted a long time and I rarely see this put up for sale, in fact, I only saw it once or 2x in ebay in 1 1/2 years that I was regularly looking. I think this was released around 2009. I got an unused one and I hope it is really in good condition as the seller said. I actually passed up on this listing towards the end of December. But it was relisted, and there, no more holding back! I'm so weak.

Congrats on your new item. Sometimes the perfect bag comes when we're trying our hardest to be good. I remember finding my HG shortly starting the 2013 thread haha - and I had no choice but to get it since it's a discontinued item.

I think you are doing a great job organizing. I found I could add space by using plastic cubes that I that can fit two or three bags in them and on top of them . I put these cubes on the top shelves in my closet. The ones that go on top of the cubes and bit harder to reach are right now the summer bags. This system works well for me.

I like these cubes, where are they from?

I did list 2 bags for sale, last night. May or may not sell of course, but it felt good to make a decision. Bags I like, but rarely use. They deserve to go to someone who will use them! Thanks, thedseer and others for your posts on selling bags. Gave me the nudge I needed to list these!

I only have one cheap one left that hasn't sold. It may not seem that way but I actually have quite a bit of open space right now from all of last years sales. I am trying very hard not to fill it right back up. I find I am definately stress shopping. I have not bought but I do see the correlation . My friends DH is in critical condition and it has been touch and go the last two days . I keep distracting myself from worring by looking on line when I am not doing something else.

It's poooouring rain today and I was thisclose to switching out of my KS but decided to see how it goes in the rain - I brought a huge umbrella so it actually was ok that the bag doesn't zip close. It does fit really well on my shoulder, tucked under my arm, so that is a plus.

The Riley was totally an impulse buy, especially at full price. The woven detail and the color scheme is what sucked me in too. Yay on the twin wristlets!

Less yay on the Legacy tote there. I bought it with the intention of using it for school, but it's quite heavy completely empty, much too heavy to load with books. I was bummed about that. So she mostly sits in my closet these days.

Thank you! Yes, as much as vacation is fun, I need to recover from vacation as well. Lol. I get tired from work then I get tired from vacation haha. I'm glad I planned a little break in between vacation and work to recover from both tiredness and jet lag. Haha. First world problems.
