I did but it was a bit big and kept getting knocked to the ground. The other saffaino one was smaller width wise but because of all the zippers and pockets it was too heavy.
Gotcha! Hmmm, I think you need to sit near people who are more careful! :p Just kidding.
I'm assuming that since you're parked in the bleachers, you have to have capacity for books, art supplies (do you take those?), water bottle, etc...? So a small lap bag won't work, right?

Quick grocery store run with my Linea Pelle wristlet wallet, perfect color for gray, ugly weather and great size, even my phone fits in there.
Happy Sunday!
cute + fun pop color = :D

Has anyone made any changes to their closet or other habits to make shopping in your closet more attractive? I sold off a number of bags this past year and now have all my favorite bags in my closet on an organizer shelf where I can see them. It really helps remind me of my options. Also, it seems the fewer bags I have ,the more I feel I have? Does this make any sense at all?

I read a quote that said something to the effect of "the best way to make sure you enjoy your favorite things each day is to only own your favorite things." I find a lot of truth in this.

The last couple months I have been carrying these two bags almost exclusively--my Mansur Gavriel bucket bag and my Longchamp Le Pliage Neo. The LC is a darker blue than pictured--it's really gorgeous. I took it on a trip to Tokyo last month and was the perfect bag. We did a lot of walking and train travel and it was perfect. Now I'm having a hard time changing out between these two--it reminds me that I really don't need that many bags to begin with when I look at what I actually reach for when I head out the door.

BTW--does anyone know why my pics keep rotating? Ugh!
Love the quote! So true!

Great bag choices! And I'd love to hear your thoughts on the MG... does it live up to all the hype??? It is such a sharp looking bag. And the LC neo is lovely!

I would say that this bag, for me, has lived up to the hype. I was a bit worried, too, because getting one was so stinkin' difficult--I thought I'd have better luck catching a unicorn than getting one, but I got lucky with a retailer having it in stock. I have made several bag mistakes over the years, causing me to sell them when I realized they didn't work as well as I had hoped.

My new mantra is "must be pretty AND practical."

I really like the fact that the bag stands up on its own. It can be a bit of a black hole but I use pouches and I keep my cell phone in the attached pocket. It does have a few scuffs and such but I barely notice-- I want to use the bag, not baby it. I also love the shape for keeping a water bottle in there upright, although I always do this with caution (in general). The strap is really comfortable and I find it's a very useful style. Toss a scarf, iPad mini, hat, etc. No problem. Love it.:smile1:

O.K. Another one late to the party, here goes!

2014-Cleared out closet of underused/unused clothes, shoes and bags. First 8-9 months did great on low buy (mostly because no time between work and family obligations) Then...around October/November I went on a buying binge!! Mostly clothes and bags.
Last purchase was December 29th. I bought the LV Totally PM. Help! (I do love it though)

2015-New here, have been lurking for a couple of days and you dear friends have given me many wonderful ideas and incentives.
I will shop from my purse closet and swap out more often. Luckily I'm a one wallet woman so that makes it easier.
Would like to buy one bag this year, a crossbody. Not sure yet, but really like the LV Eva? What do you think?

Also like the idea of taking pics of outfits each day. Would like to do a no/low buy on clothes. (only need work out stuff and undies)

As far as shoes I'm set for life. LOL Have over a hundred pair. Just need to replace workout tennis every few months.

:D
Thanks everyone! And good luck to us all!!!

Hi again ladies! :flowers:

I joined this thread at the beginning of the year last year and then had a pretty rough summer (my dog that I loved to death passed away right before my 30th birthday and I took it really hard) and didn't keep up. :shucks: Things are definitely much better now, so I plan to participate again! :smile1: I looked at the thread from last year and my goal was to:

"In 2014, I'm hoping to not sell anything and to add 2 or 3 bags that are well thought out. I am going to be searching for a LV Leopard Speedy on the pre-loved market (only at a good price) and I'll be buying a new LV Tivoli PM for my 30th birthday (eek!). I will be very interested to see at the end of next year how I do. I'm hoping this thread will keep me accountable!"

I did get my Leopard Speedy at a good price (yay!) in January 2014 and ended up getting an LV Artsy for my birthday. My birthday was in June and I got the bag in April (of course lol) and I haven't bought a bag since then. I can't even believe it! I have bought a few SLG's and an LV Leopard Stole (which add up, I understand), but no bags!

I did sell a couple of bags, Black Bal PT and AW Rocco, so here's my collection as it stands right now. Very small, but I'm very happy with it:

RM Black Cat MAB
RM Plum MAM w/ Rosegold HW
LV Mono Artsy
LV Leopard Speedy (my favorite)
LV Graffiti Speedy
LV DE Speedy 35

This year, I'm hoping to add a Neverfull and maybe one other bag, either a Givenchy Antigona, RM Black MAM/MAB with rosegold, or maybe a Chloe Paraty? I will be getting the Neverfull for sure since I don't have any totes, and clearly am undecided if I really want/need a second bag for the year. I also have a few smaller purchases on my wishlist: a cosmetic bag, Milla pochette, a cles, and maybe another leopard stole. I'm also going to try to not sell anything again this year since I really do love my collection. I'm hoping this thread will keep me accountable. Sorry for the long post and thanks for reading! :smile1:

Tuuli35, really like your LP.

TejasMama, gorgeous Le Pliage Neo. Thank you for the MG review. It's a bag I really like, but so hard to get!

Denverite, welcome back. I am so sorry that your dog passed away last year. I remember you because of your member name. I grew up in Denver.

dcooney, my knock around bag is also my nylon Le Pliage. I also have a Coach black canvas monogram hobo with leather shoulder strap that is pretty indestructible. This bag actually got wet once and I put it back in my closet not realizing this. It smelled so strongly of mildew that it was not usable. I tried remedies I found online and on tpf; none of them worked. So I ran it through my washing machine on the hand wash cycle (crazy I know) and it came out beautifully. I applied some leather conditioner to the strap, although it really didn't look like it needed it.

I know some may worry that I should not be allowed to have nice bags after that story!! Overall, I am really careful with my bags though, lol!

Today I kept it really simple. LV mini pochette with dragonne, wrist strap which has made it super functional for me! Inside Jacobs by Marc Jacobs card case (cheapie thing from the MbMJ store) and my new H Silk'In coin purse/compact wallet that I adore!ImageUploadedByPurseForum1420410368.590969.jpg

The problem with the nylon is they tend to slide off of bleachers, But maybe a small one might work. My bigger one got bumped the one time I used it and almost landed in some soda a person beside spilled. The season has begun again and I will be at these things a few times a week.

Ahhhh right i thought there was a reason. I would recommend trying a smaller size though, the large is very large the small is much more manageable.

Quick grocery store run with my Linea Pelle wristlet wallet, perfect color for gray, ugly weather and great size, even my phone fits in there.
Happy Sunday!

I love this quote!! It's very true as well! Gorgeous bags :)

Here you go! :D There are two card slots on each side plus a pocket behind them. I keep one card in each slot, but I've read of others in the LV forum that double up the cards. I keep insurance cards in the back pockets since they don't need to be accessed often. I keep my DL and my main bank card in the center slot... makes it super easy to grab them. I keep cash in one of the open pockets and coins in the other. You do have to fold your bills in half... not sure if that would bother you. I don't use cash often, so it's not a big deal for me.

Honestly, this thing could fit a lot more than I have. When I was researching this, I saw a youtube video where a lady put like 50 coins in it and it zipped up. Not that I'd recommend that, but good to know.
Hope this helps!

Also want to add that I've been using this everyday since Nov. and the only sign of wear is on the zipper pull (scratches)... otherwise, it still looks brand new.

Love that wallet, the perfect small wallet!

Thank you so much Minny! I just love the mini pochette! I have the new iphone with a bulkier case so sadly it doesn't work for me as well as it did before.

Love the quote, the MG, and the Neo! Is your Neo navy or purple?

Thank you, that's super helpful! I think the zcp would be perfect for what I need.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog.

I love your collection! I remember your leopard speedy-it is so pretty.

Ok , I did not think about the fact that the new bag I returned actually was to serve the purpose of going to sporting events and being able to hold up to serious abuse. The new bag I bought is to pretty and I don't want to chance it being knocked on to the floor by someone getting up and down in the bleachers. So today I will be bringing my Mz Wallace Baby Jane in charcoal luster with me. I'm sure this bag can handle it but I hate bringing anything much over a hundred dollars to these things. Here a picture of her. What do you use for these kind of events?

I think I am in the minority. I am more of the less is better at sporting events. So I usually carry a very small SLG. Just to hold my ID, credit card and cash. Lip balm in my pocket. That way I don't have to worry about my purse being knocked around or getting anything spilled on it. (the horror!)
