Ok , I did not think about the fact that the new bag I returned actually was to serve the purpose of going to sporting events and being able to hold up to serious abuse. The new bag I bought is to pretty and I don't want to chance it being knocked on to the floor by someone getting up and down in the bleachers. So today I will be bringing my Mz Wallace Baby Jane in charcoal luster with me. I'm sure this bag can handle it but I hate bringing anything much over a hundred dollars to these things. Here a picture of her. What do you use for these kind of events?

I'm with jenny on the LC. My two "can take anywhere" bags are my black LC and the little Coach saffiano crossbody bag. Never have to give either of those a second thought... both are totally worry-free.
I thought you got a Coach tote bag specifically for the bleachers? Or is that the one you exchanged? Or am I remembering that all wrong?

I also agree on LC. I brought my navy to softball games (I played). It got knocked onto the ground of the dugout once when it was muddy and it washed off fine at home. I would go for a smaller size in a dark color, like black in case it does fall/get spilled on. The mini size is $90 and should fit on the lap well. And there are often coupons so you could get it for less.

She's so cute! I'd actually not bring anything other than a wristlet/pochette. Something small that can rest on your lap or attached to you (like the wristlet).

Okay I need to try this. I generally do not make New Years Resolutions but how about a promise to TRY to myself and my husband! Lol. Sorry have to go back where I started this madness.

2012-2013

What happen: quite a few impulse bag purchases - that left me quite discontent.

2014

What happen: Sold a lot of bags and purchased more bags that fit my life style that I Loved! Went better about my bag purchases by researching bags, not buying the first time I saw and watching reviews here and you tube. Very helpful! I started a new trend of looking at a few bags for at least a month before I purchased so this way I would be sure. I'd get a list of bags I was interested in go to the boutique and have them pull all of them out for me to try by putting my things inside and modeling. I eliminated some bags and maybe even added a few more. Left the Boutique to sleep on it a few days. Return again and repeat the same process - leave again empty handed and wait a few days or longer. I look up the bags on You tube, images to see how they look on others, read any reviews I can find, search here of TPF and maybe start a thread to ask questions. Then I go back and make my purchase. I found that the bags I purchased at first glance are the bags I ended up selling - such a waste of money. The bags I research and took time to buy I know are my keepers.

2015

My plan: I finally received my HG bag so not to sure where you go form there! I do however have a great sense of contentment which is a really good feeling. I do not feel the need to buy a bag even though I may peruse the LV sight or see many beautiful reveals here. I have a very well rounded collection and have reached my bag max I set. I have decided that I WILL enjoy the bags I currently have with no plans to make a bag purchase in the year of 2015 and I am going to try my best to not even think about a purchase until this time next year. I made one last purchase Friday for a black MC cles which will be discontinued soon and a red bag charm. So really if I do make a purchase it will be small but I also realize even those purchases add up. So I think this will be my last SLG too. Okay wish me luck and strong resistance as this bag thing can be very dangerous!

Good luck all on your goals as well.

Welcome! Can't wait to see your last SLG.

True to my resolutions for this year I have been thinking about my Prada Saffiano tote a lot and as much as I love it I just don't use it and wish I'd bought a larger zipped model now. So I took the bag to a consignment shop today and it's with them now, hopefully it will get a good offer. I will disappointed if not. Anyway...to fill the gaps that I have I have bought myself one of the bags I said I would; a Longchamp Le Pliage in Amethyst. It was on sale at a jewellery store which also sells Mont Blanc and Smythson...it was actually cheaper than the sale price currently on the Longchamp website :) Have already used today, the picture is taken with some parcels in that I took to the post office. Have also been wardrobe purging :)

Great job taking the Prada into the consignment shop! And I LOVE your new LC... I was soooo tempted by this amethyst color!!!

2 out of 4 packages have already been returned. I love the BV bag and the black boots, the black shoes are still to be delivered.
I also had a thorough look into my closet and put 12 articles up for auction on ebay. I hope they will sell well, but my first priority is to get the things out of my house.
Great job! Would love to see the BV!

Here is a question , what bag do you reach most? It does not need to cost much and it still counts even a canvas tote etc. Just curious to see what really gets used the most. For me lately it is whatever crossbody goes with what I have on. What about you?
In the summer, a crossbody bag. In the winter, a satchel.

Thanks to all for the good wishes on my new granddaughter. I have three grandsons already who are the light of my life. But I have wanted a girl for so long! My daughter and daughters-in-law were set to inherit these bags someday, but now, the baby gets it all lol.......As for what bag I grab the most, I'd have to say my Vera totes. When I travel, I always reach for one. Ditto would be for a sporting event. On most weekends, that's what I carry. The reason, they're lightweight, hold a lot without being too big, and best of all they're washable. There's no way I'd put one of my LVs or other bags on the floor of an airplane. Yuck!

great choice, and there she is, the ZCP... =P
:p

you guys... stay away from me! LOL j/kj/k. I'd LOVE to be wallet triplets with you guys. Actually, last year I did have the money through selling my other items but just couldn't pull the trigger... I think I really want to let go of a few more wallets before I buy it because I think it will be one I use a lot and I would feel bad further neglecting the ones I'm already not using much. I'm trying to use them all this year to see how I feel and then decide which ones I will let go of.
That sound like a solid plan egg! Good for you! Have you used your blue(?) epi wallet much? If not, you should break that gorgeous thing out!!! ;)

I assume zcp = zippy coin purse? And that's your main wallet? I would like to pick up a new wallet this year and was thinking of the zippy compact. But I'm thinking the zippy coin purse would probably serve my needs and is much cheaper.
Thanks! I may end up getting it soon, in DE, depending on how my sales go/when the price increase is. I usually don't carry too many cards, plus I will probably still carry my BV coin purse for business cards or something. So I think the zcp would work!

I just got my zcp in Nov. (b-day present) and I really love it. I am a one wallet gal (read: too lazy to switch wallets) so this is my everyday wallet. I don't carry a ton of cards or use cash often, so this style works well for me. I'd be happy to take a pic of the inside if you want. I did look at the zcw while I was at LV and it is awesome, but way more space than I need. Plus the zcp fits into my smallest bag no problem.

Half the time I think the research is more fun then the actual purchase or the hunt. Do you enjoy researching bags and finding them at a decent price or are you more into instant gratification when you buy bags?
I really enjoy the "research" phase!!!

Yes! lol. DH will often times ask me "are you putting things in things again?" or if I pack something really nicely i'll say to him "look, things in things" ... I think there is a reason i'm oddly good at Tetris haha
LOL!

:D Day 4 of this wonderful new year - shopping from my collection and using my beloved ivory Chloe today:
Gorgeous!!!

For me it's not about a certain bag but about weight. That's why heavy bags are a nono for me.
Me too.

I have a longchamp veau foulonne bag. I used it quite a bit in summer, but I bought a light weight organizer to go in it. The cuir leather is pretty but I tend to like things that hold their shape more. Both of these leathers though are super light weight. Here is a photo of mine. The color is called Oak.
Love seeing this one!!! I'm still planning a heist... :ninja:

Okay I need to try this. I generally do not make New Years Resolutions but how about a promise to TRY to myself and my husband! Lol. Sorry have to go back where I started this madness.

I did but it was a bit big and kept getting knocked to the ground. The other saffaino one was smaller width wise but because of all the zippers and pockets it was too heavy.

Has anyone made any changes to their closet or other habits to make shopping in your closet more attractive? I sold off a number of bags this past year and now have all my favorite bags in my closet on an organizer shelf where I can see them. It really helps remind me of my options. Also, it seems the fewer bags I have ,the more I feel I have? Does this make any sense at all?

I read a quote that said something to the effect of "the best way to make sure you enjoy your favorite things each day is to only own your favorite things." I find a lot of truth in this.

The last couple months I have been carrying these two bags almost exclusively--my Mansur Gavriel bucket bag and my Longchamp Le Pliage Neo. The LC is a darker blue than pictured--it's really gorgeous. I took it on a trip to Tokyo last month and was the perfect bag. We did a lot of walking and train travel and it was perfect. Now I'm having a hard time changing out between these two--it reminds me that I really don't need that many bags to begin with when I look at what I actually reach for when I head out the door.

BTW--does anyone know why my pics keep rotating? Ugh!

Thanks, a picture would be great! I am also a one wallet gal.

Here you go! :D There are two card slots on each side plus a pocket behind them. I keep one card in each slot, but I've read of others in the LV forum that double up the cards. I keep insurance cards in the back pockets since they don't need to be accessed often. I keep my DL and my main bank card in the center slot... makes it super easy to grab them. I keep cash in one of the open pockets and coins in the other. You do have to fold your bills in half... not sure if that would bother you. I don't use cash often, so it's not a big deal for me.

Honestly, this thing could fit a lot more than I have. When I was researching this, I saw a youtube video where a lady put like 50 coins in it and it zipped up. Not that I'd recommend that, but good to know.
Hope this helps!

Also want to add that I've been using this everyday since Nov. and the only sign of wear is on the zipper pull (scratches)... otherwise, it still looks brand new.

I'm in the minority here, but I think mzw is perfect for your sporting events. They are functional and usually easy to clean while still being pretty. I don't think you should need to sacrifice style especially if these events are really half your life, and you have far too many pretty bags to relegate them to occasional use. ;) Since MZW seems to be your go-to brand then why keep looking for another "bleacher bag"?

Oh and in answer to your question of what I use for outdoors or super casual events, it would be a Lesportsac Deluxe Everyday crossbody because it can fit so much but still be extremely light and compact. MZW is at the pricey end of my purse collection and a little heavy. ;)
