I was able to order the butterscotch rogue today. Seeing all of the posts on here convinced me that I needed it lol! My online order didn't go through, which has been happening to me for the last few years, so I had to call. I actually called on Sunday and they told me it was completely sold out so I'm thinking mine may be a return.

Mine was likely a return (missing most packaging and clearly had been unstuffed and half-heartedly restuffed), but it was in perfect shape minus a couple marks on suede lining from straps (they were packed in pockets without the pocket stuffing) which I was able to easily brush out.

So, I think I'm going to return my butterscotch satchel for a few reasons.
1.) I don't see it staying in my collection long-term. Call me crazy but for some reason this combination seems "dated" and I dont want to be bothered with trying to sell it.
2.) I'm not sure I'll really carry it often due to the weight. And I only see myself carrying in the fall/winter as it won't go with my spring summer wardrobe.
3.) Trying not to buy just because the price is good.

I do plan on getting my Rogue tote. There's always something else to come along and I don't have to jump every time there's a sale. Maybe I'll wait longer and see what comes for fall or not at all. Hmm....

Oh! I am still debating on returning my Butterscotch Rogue Satchel as well. It is the most I've ever spent on a purse and I am worried about that. But I do get it out of the bag and pet it every once in a while so I am still leaning toward keeping it. I have a little while yet to decide. I just LOVE the Butterscotch color and the details on this bag. Glad you were able to make up your mind on it. :D

I wrote out a pros and cons list and the cons outweighed the pros. I'm almost 99% certain of my decision but it's hard. It's such a pretty and unique bag. I'd hate to let it go. I can get an additional 20% off which makes it more tempting to keep it.

Great idea on the pro/con list! If I could get additional 20% off then I would have NO doubts about keeping the bag. How are you able to get another 20% off?

Thank you! I'm so jealous, my SA never gives me friends and family discount :-(. Maybe time to find a new one....
That's really surprising. It could be time for a new one. I usually try not to mention it because I know some people don't get the same experience since it's given at the discretion of the SA. Mine really looks out for me. Keeps track of the quantity of something I'm interested in and lets me know when it's available for a discount. I buy other stuff too but wouldn't have my 1941 collection if it weren't for sales and discounts. I've only paid full price for my red rogue and the violet 17 which was an impulse buy. I try to be patient and wait and so far it's paid off. I know I'll never be one of the lucky ones to catch some 1941 stuff at my outlet because we don't have the market for it here (and I'm too lazy to drive out there to look). So I have to seize the opportunity when I can.

Could it be Bc of the snake detail? I had seen the various satchel colors at my store and it didn't call to me the way the regular rogue did. The color is gorgeous but the combination of the snake detail felt off imho.

I think it is the snake detail. I look at it and think it adds a nice design element and then I think "I'm going to get tired of seeing the snake". I like the black satchel so i know it's not the overall style. Hmmm... Did I just add another con to my list?

Love all the comments here on eBay selling -- I've sold as well and the posts here are dead on. One other suggestion for an avenue for selling, other than Craigslist.... go to Facebook and see if your market has a "garage sale" or similar type of venue to sell. It will say something like "(your city) Friends Garage Sale" or similar title. Depending on the age and value of what you're trying to sell, it may be an option. My other addiction is knitting -- yarn and bags, I tell my husband! (At least I'm producing lots of pretty things!) There is a Facebook page called "Yarn Hoarders Destash" page, to sell excess yarn and I've had success in both of these types of venues. Usually these are closed groups and you have to request to join in, and in some cases there are very strict rules about posting -- photos, details in the listings, etc. but I really like them -- no nonsense, list the item clearly, mark as sold and move on. There may be a Coach selling page on there, I think I looked briefly but never seriously found one. I should look again! There's also Tradesy, the Real Real, Thread UP and others, depending on the value of your item, but I've never sold on these last few sites. Good luck!

I have the same two "hobbies" as I prefer to call them-handbags and yarn. Maybe we should start storing yarn in our handbags, to save room.

Oh, that is so sad about the saddle bag! Can the whipstitching be repaired?

I can relate about the Rogue 25, but I am trying to remind myself that I don't really have a need for it other than cuteness. I think the compartmentalization means it would be a tighter fit than my KS Small Haydens, and the room in those is on the edge of what I can handle (and unlike the Rogue, I feel okay taking those out in bad weather, to places where they might suffer surprise purse abuses, and so on, because of the saffiano). Those ones also fit my need for a dressier smaller bag when required.

I find I only like to really use the outer suede compartments on the medium Rogues for my phone (as I don't really want to mess up the suede too much!) so that cuts even more down on the room. I have really extended my splurge budget this year on bags (not just Coach, but mostly Coach!) and I really need to go on ban island for a few years (!). I still want one though...and might find it hard to resist if the right colour popped up!

'Surprise purse abuses' made me lol [emoji39]
Yeah, the whipstitching could likely be repaired but I knew it would bug me to pay so much for a damaged bag. Why couldn't my resistance to 1941 have broken down before the winter sale?!
I surely don't *need* a R25 either but am hypnotized by the cuteness! IKWYM about the fear of messing up the suede, but I so love the feel of it. I have many unlined vintage bags with suede inside and it's like my hand gets a little cuddle every time I reach in.

I've switched a few SA's when the ones I worked with move-they're usually the first to let me know when sales are going on, but I've yet to get a F&F discount after years of spending thousands at Coach. One even said I'm her store's best customer, so maybe the associates say that to everyone?
