It's made of silicon, so it's really easy to trap hair and hair gets stuck on it. It does a wonderful job to keep it the strap on the shoulder, though!Oooh. Yikes! I do have long hair! Lol. Thanks for the warning!

I have a chance to either get my hands on a Chanel 19 small Navy or a Series 1 vintage medium CF. I'm so torn because my mindset is in a "CF is the classic" but my life style is definitely more casual. Help me decide!!
Oooh no! Gosh I would NOT cut it! I do not have this issue with my 19, but if I did, (please no one get offended. Lol) I personally would get some clear fabric glue (from crafts store) and with a tooth pick, dab the tip of the tooth pick in the fabric glue and precisely smooth it over the thread (put on your reading glasses if need be. Lol) so it bonds together and flatten thread down with tooth pic so it looks undetected. It will dry and with it being clear it should be undetectable. I'm not a professional in this but I'm a crafty personHas anyone experienced frayed stitches like this on your 19? I’m just trying to figure out if I can cut it, or whether it will get worse over time if I leave it as is. Appreciate your input!

Thank you so much for the detailed response, Debbie65! The frustrating part is I just got the bag and it’s brand new. I managed to find it right before the price increase and don’t want to pay the new price. The SA said she doesn’t have another one and is not very responsive, hence the dilemma…Oooh no! Another option which you may know, is to take it to a specialist that deals with luxe items for repair. I hope I don't scare or offend anyone with my solution. Please do not try this if you feel uncomfortable as I have found when you go in confident, the outcome is usually positive and vice versa. I would cover the surrounding areas so glue doesn't get on the leather or on more surface area. You just want to dab it only where the thread is loose. If you leave it be, I just wonder if you may resnag it and break the thread.

What!? Oh heck no! Well that SA needs to let you exchange the bag for a PERFECT one when ONE ARRIVES. Oh my gosh! If you have to call Chanel Customer Service do it. Your SA may not have one in stock now, but she will eventually and it won't take months! You should be able to do an even exchange with NO increase because your bag is flawed. Uuugh! Erks me when the customer service goes away AFTER a purchase! Have you tried customer service to see what they suggest?. Mention your SA is not being very helpful with this issue. That’s what I’m hoping to do, exchanging without having to pay for the increase. I worry that she will just return it once I send it back. What!? Oh heck no! Uuugh! I feel your PAIN! I'm so sorry. Hopefully you can do the exchange. I reached out to my SA to see what options you have to lock in that old price so you can do an exchange. I wonder if she has one if you can do it there with her. We shall see. That’s what I’m hoping to do, exchanging without having to pay for the increase. This is actually the proper way to do it. I recently had a frayed stitch on my Gucci bag. I know what to do, but was afraid to do it myself, so I took it to a professional. He did exactly what you said and it looks perfect now!Oooh no! Gosh I would NOT cut it! I do not have this issue with my 19, but if I did, (please no one get offended.
