So, so jealous
This isn't on theme, but it is what I'm wearing today for the opening of the Symphony season. And I'm so excited to wear it, because I just bought it last week.
Presenting... Parures de Samourais, cw12!

More cats Tigre Royale - Hopefully you can see his face peeking out.
I love this quote:
“God made the cat to give man the pleasure of stroking a tiger” Francois-Joseph Mery
Seems very apt for the Tigre Royale.
(And thank you Elaine and Croisette for your earlier words on Dans l'Atelier!)

Thank you, PT. This is one that I wasn't sure of, but my SA pulled it out and flat-out insisted that I try it on. She isn't usually directive... at all... so I listened to her. And as soon as I tried it on, I could see she was right! This looks the perfect cw for you Elaine
Inspired by all the cats - my contribution is Dallet's Jungle Love. (From deep inside my archives!)

Thanks so much everyone for your sweet comments on the Paris pic. It was a lovely trip. Here's one more, actually on theme. Tyger Tyger with my Aunt at one of my favorite restaurants.

More cats: Tyger, Tyger
Can't resist posting the poem by William Blake that inspired this design. I have to admit though, as much as I like Alice Shirley and this shawl, I don't think she captured the tiger envisioned in Blake's poem.
Tyger Tyger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies.
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand, dare seize the fire?
And what shoulder, & what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain,
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp,
Dare its deadly terrors clasp!
When the stars threw down their spears
And water'd heaven with their tears:
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?
Tyger Tyger burning bright,
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye,
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
