Hawaii much cheaper than mainland

Walked into Gucci here having no idea bags are 25%-30% cheaper in Hawaii than rest of US. I bought the blooms chain bag and Tian padlock, which I've been eying for a while, as well as the Tian mini backpack and a key pouch, both unexpected purchases. Debating whether or not to keep the backpack, not sure when I'd really carry it...but it's super cute. FYI apparently just bags and wallets are cheaper here, shoes and everything else is same pricing.

yup i was in honolulu. i believe the backpack at retail is $1290? it was $1000 flat in honolulu. oh and tax is lower too, only 4.7%!

Beautiful items and what a range of items! Did you go to Ala Moana or Waikiki?

I only learned that Hawaii prices are lower than the continential U.S. a few weeks ago, too, when checking out the Tian selection. I am still on the fence about purchasing...but that small backpack is so cute!
