Does anyone own this bag? I haven't seen it IRL, and I'm wondering how the chain is attached, is it woven into the leather somehow? Also, does the chain make the bag heavy?

As far as I can remember, the chain is not woven into the leather. I don't think it is much heavier than a regualr veneta. There is a large on on ebay at the moment at a great price if you are interested
