World's Largest Malls *pics*

^Really, a BCBG? Where is it?

Never mind, just looked at the online mall map so it's in the dead part of the mall by Nine West - it took me months to find that store :shame: . Plus when I go to the mall it's with specific stops in mind or else I get really tired of just walking around.

^Hilarious!!! That's why I didn't spot it either, it's in a part that I never go to. I just happened to park/go in a different door one day last week because I was going to Lululemon and didn't have much time!

And, that was the first time I noticed 9 West too.

yea MOA isn't that big. it's only big because it has that rollercoaster inside. anyone can be a big mall if you shove a coaster inside it. lol.

SCP (South Coast Plaza, Orange County, CA) is #11 on the list, also beating MOA. Although, the demographic for both malls are entirely different.. KOP and SCP are the real rivals (west vs east and everything else about the two). I like to think that KOP and SCP, though having less retail stores in quantity, have higher quality stores and brands. Flagships and exclusive brands and designers.. while most of the malls in China have over 5-600 stores, they're all a bunch of ma/pa stores.

personally i would prefer a mall with quality design, quality brands, and quality shopping experience overall. a giant mall can get out of hand, and can be packed with people i really don't want to be rubbing elbows with.

and fyi: MOA WAS the largest in the US. until KOP and SCP expanded. then they were bumped way way down.. cuz then Union Square expanded and so did plenty of others. Time for MOA to build a few more floors up on top.. haha.

I live in Edmonton and maybe I'm just jaded but WEM is far from impressive.

ITA - I hardly ever go to the mall... it's great for one stop shopping at the holidays, but there's not much high end shopping. The mall is fun for other stuff - waterslides, roller coasters, golf, etc...
The only really high end store is downtown (Holt Renfrew) for women, and that's lacking for sure compared to the biig US cities (I have to admit, I shop elsewhere for Chanel, etc...) But if you can find what you want in Edmonton, it's a great price since it has the lowest tax rate in Canada!

West Edmonton Mall
Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
The biggest in North America, the West Edmonton Mall has over 800 stores, along with attractions like a water park, skating rink, casino and rides.

I've only been to 1 out of the 10 biggest malls. West Edmonton Mall was not impressive at all. What's the point of having over 800 stores if none are any good.
