I’m thinking I want a crossbody hobo bag for travel. I thought my Cuyana backpack was the perfect travel bag, but I’ve been traveling with it this week and reaching behind me all the time is a pain. It also doesn’t look very stylish, IMHO. I feel like I have a big blob on my back.

I’m open to everything here—luxe, contemporary, older pre-loved styles, no name bags on Etsy etc. It just needs to be durable, attractive, comfortable to carry, minimalist, and large enough to hold a wallet, glasses, water bottle and light cardigan. An outside pocket would be the bomb. I’m aware of the Polene Numero Dix hobo. What else is there?

Hi all. I’m buying my first bottega mini Jodie and am considering one of the red colors. Has anyone seen the new color called redstone? If so how does it compare to firework? I thought firework had a hint of pink to it. Like the red looked more of a bright reddish pink which I didn’t like and now I see a new color called redstone but can’t tell what kind of red it is. Anyone seen this in person or can compare? Please let me know! Thanks.

So I recently bought a Cartier love bracelet (vintage from 1993 that has both Italian and swiss markings) from a Japanese seller on eBay. It doesn't come with papers but a Japanese repair receipt from Cartier, which the seller claims was received when Cartier polished the bracelet. Since I can't read the japenese, I'm unsure what it says. The bracelet is very shiny, so it looks recently polished. I also noticed it's pretty heavy.

I decided to get it authenticated from Real Authentication and later on with Legit Grails. Both of them refunded me as they couldn't authenticate. They never said it's fake, either. After getting a refund from both services, I contacted the seller, and they're fine if I return it or get it authenticated somewhere else. I got the bracelet at a great price, so I want to make sure it's authentic before returning it.

Any suggestions on how should I manage the authentication?

I need advice. Long Post but please read. sim heartbroken I dropped off my Evelyn PM Orange Poppy at the Stuttgart Hermes boutique last Feb (2022) for a minor clean. By May I still haven’t received a quote for the repair. I visited the store and they said wait another month. In June they said contact Munich. I emailed the name on the receipt (receipt received when dropped off bag) and no reply. june, july and August. no reply from the aftersales person nor the manager who i copied in the emails. Sept I received an automated reply that the email is no longer valid and email the general aftersales address. Two days later. i received a reply and a quote. Against my gut feeling i agree to the repair. Three weeks later i picked up the bag. It’s not the same color! When i asked they said i left a bag in color Feu. No i did not. I have receipt and pictures. The manager now steps in and replies that he was told the technicians use a machine to read the color and they mistakingly read Feu. They can’t fix my bag and they expect me to pick up the bag and accept the new color. I’m at a lost in what to do. no matter what i say and pictures i show them - they say it’s my bag. pictures: my orange poppy compared to the returned bag. taken in sane light and put together to compare colors. the OP showing the slight dirt before drop off. the bag as returned.

I have seen some resellers take orders for anything available on the website or in store. Some items can have up to 20% off and no tax.

For example, the Speedy Bandolier 25 monogram is listed for $1820 but resellers can order and sell it for $1638 and no tax (10% off). How could they do this? I thought LV never had discounts? And also some resellers sell those key cles or mini Nice’s almost every week. I’m just curious how they can get so many items all at once at a deep discount without getting banned? These are big resellers and they seem to only sell authentic items.Thanks advance for your input!!

This is my collection so far, and there's not much more I want. I thought about Chanel or Hermes but those prices are crazy and they feel too old or feminine to me. I'm looking for more of a cool girl/edgy/androgynous unisex vibe. I prefer medium size bags but I can accept larger small bags. For my wardrobe I usually dress in all black. So should I get the saddle bag? If not, what should I get?

They did an amazing job! It was $1,175.00 usd to replace the handles and chapes, as well as redo the interior lining to the newer version. I am incredibly happy with the results. It’s basically a brand new bag again, except with the durable canvas they used to make. There’s a reason it hasn’t cracked in over 30 years.

They sent it back with a new dust bag, a new box, and it even has a new date code.

I ordered a giant boite chapeau supple from the real real. Received a large box which had been opened and retaped on backside. Inside was Louis Vuitton box and bubble wrap. NO BAG!
Immediately sent pics and email to them. Have yet to hear anything. Found box on my front porch after much looking. UPS usually delivers to my basement door. Anyway, I’m bummed! No happy!

Mods delete if not allowed. I moved from tropical country to Canada and just have a thought about this since I always use the coldest setting for all my clothes (mix of high and low end). Just a sudden thought that I should maybe wash them or warmer setting during winter months since the water is too cold? Will it damage my clothes? It's currently around minus 15-20ish C where I live, wonder how everyone deal with washing clothes and what temp do you normally use? Thanks all!

I am back, just when I thought I picked my perfect Alhambra. I was gifted with another Malachite Vintage Alhambra so I accidentally ended up with two. I can only keep one. Both are beyond beautiful. One is bold and dramatic and the other one is more traditional. Both are dark as I wanted them. Which one should I keep? Which one is more VCA style? I have been agonizing over them for a week now and it has gotten me nowhere so I came here to ask for a help.

Does anyone know if it is possible to modify a 105cm strap to about 95cm or to order a 95cm strap from Hermes for a Kelly 28? For me, the 85cm works crossbody, but is a little short and the 105cm works, but is a little long, so wish there was an in between! Please let me know if you have seen anything like that or have any ideas for how to make that work. Thanks!

Hi Ladies! Need your advice regarding Mini or Small Panthere Watch. I ordered Mini, I like how this size looks on my wrist, also like that Mini is more like jewellery piece. But maybe the gap between my bracelet and the watch is too big? I prefer snug fit for both. Should I order bigger size or it is Ok now? I tried Small with diamonds in a boutique but was not sure if I need so much sparkle for every day and of course the price difference is big enough. Please share your opinions

I've used Applegarde, the one from Nordstrom, the one from Wilson's. Never had a problem. They don't post ingredients on the cans but I would think they would all be similar? does anyone know what the active ingredient is? I have some I purchased from a shoe store (SAS) and I'm wondering if it would be ok to use on my light colored bag.

My beautiful Birkin in colvert was stolen by housekeepers. This was their first time at my apartment, and they were from what I thought was a reputable company. I hadn't used the bag all summer, and when I got the box down from the shelf in my closet, it was empty! I'm so upset. I filed a claim with my homeowners insurance but even if they approve the claim, it won't be enough to buy a new one. So sad.

I plan on visiting an Hermes boutique for the first time after the holidays. I am a bit nervous as I truly love the brand and want my first experience to be a good one.

Which boutique (SF or PA) do you recommend as a first-timer?
Do you recommend I make an appointment?
Should I make a list of items I am looking for prior to my visit?
I would also love to hear from anyone who has just started their Hermes journey at one of these locations. How has your experience been?

Hi ! Has anyone had their ring resized by Cartier before? I've been looking at pre-loved and asked an SA if theyd' resize a trinity ring, she said yes but only by one size (up or down).

Hoping someone can share their experience: did they do a good job, does the ring look any different, will all the existing engraving (size, logo..) still be there?

I only found one thread related to resizing and it seems like on the love ring, they engrave the letters CS beside to ring size to show that it was resized?

I’m considering buying this sangle from my SA at Nordstrom but she just sent me these pics and i feel like I hate that left side where the top of the pocket is sewn! Does it look ok? Looks like it sticks out kinda? And not square with the other seams? Help!
