Hello dear fellow purse addicts Last weekend, I went to my local store to browse and just try a couple of new bags. I had in mind getting something small, because most of my LVs are rather on the heavy side when loaded with all my stuff.

I fell for the black Alma bb LV x YK and took her home. I‘m normally not a spontaneous buyer - so now I‘m having second thoughts and wonder whether I should return it. Is it worth the money for such a small bag? Should I exchange for the regular epi Alma bb, which comes at a better price for basically the same bag?

What do you think?

I’ve been looking for a good mid-sized bag for everyday carry that isn’t too small, but also not big. I finally stumbled across the PS1 Tiny and thought it’d be the perfect size. The Proenza Schouler website luckily had a nice blue color on sale, so I went ahead and bought one in Slate directly through them and it arrived last week! I have lots of bags in the blue family, including a Balenciaga City in Canard, but I think this one is now my favorite blue shade, it is so pretty! ❤️

I think the bag is a little bit darker than the website shows and more blue, but those are good things for me. The color saturation is hard for me to capture with my phone and there’s a bit of a sheen so it looks a little different depending on the angle and lighting, but the bag is probably a little brighter than my photos just not as bright as the website’s.

I haven’t gotten to use it out yet, but it does fit a lot! Of course, now I want a PS1 in medium as well and will be on the look out for a good one

I will hopefully be receiving my first quota bag offer soon but torn on making a decision. I was planning on a B but I am now leaning towards a K. I haven’t been able to try on a K sellier in store but did have the opportunity to try a K25 in retourne. On my 171cm/5’7 frame, the K25 in retourne did look quite small (my understanding is sellier does look bigger than retourne).

I recently made a post about B25 vs B30 and received some very insightful responses. On that note, I would love to hear your thoughts on whether the K25 is considered a “micro bag” as a lot deem the B25 to be in this category. Contrary to that, I have also heard that the K28 is boxy/large. Without trying them on for myself, it is difficult to know.

I am 171cm (5’7) and plan on wearing the bag day to night.

Would love to know your thoughts/experiences with either size & which you ultimately gravitate towards?

I want to buy a new bag and I've been eyeing the Twist MM in black & gold but not sure if that is the one, so I went to store to check it out with my mum.

I liked the classic black & gold, its classy, easy to match, you can dress it up/down depending on how you want to wear it. But my mum thinks that I should venture out to different colours & buy a special piece rather than a practical day-to-day one, so she asked the SA if there are any other colours available. I also liked the Gold Miel but they were out of stock, so the SA took out the pink Rose Trianon instead and I have to admit, it is very pretty, the flower chain makes it more special & I can see myself wearing it up/down just like the black twist, but I kinda still liked the black at that point because, who doesn't like the classic black & gold?

While I was umming and ahing which one to get, the SA took out another bag for me - Capucines BB, in Pearly Pink.

It wasn't love in first sight, but when I try it on - OMG it is SO. PRETTY!

I really love it and it makes my heart sing just thinking about it. But, the price difference between a Twist & a Capucines BB is quite significant. Price is of course a factor but what I worried most about buying the Capucines is:

1) The leather, from what I've seen, doesn't hold the shape well over time. I know the bottom corner can sag a bit and I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. Looking at second hand market the used capucines with a soft corner doesn't appeal to me. Maybe it'll be different if I'm the one using it brand new until the shape changed?? Kinda like your own patina in canvas? I don't know.

2. The pearly pink, it is SO pretty! It is to die for! But I'm worried that the pearly affect along with the colour being pink, will have colour transfer and also hard to maintain. Imagine if I wear dark colour clothes/jeans, and there's colour transfer, what's the chance I can rub it off without damaging the pearly shine? Even if I were to take the bag for a bag spa treatment, will they be able to recreate the same pearly effect?

I guess right now I'm choosing between:

Twist black & gold, Twist pink Rose Trianon, Capucines BB in pearly pink

But I'm also wondering about the Twist in Gold Miel & Rose Blossom (with rose gold hardware), and the Twist One Handle PM in Caramel (which I have not seen/tried it on yet).

The Gold Miel & One Handle in Caramel is OOS in-store but I can buy it online, just means that if I don't like it there's the hassle of returning it. I've also never tried returning/swapping bags before, is it difficult?

Which one do you think I should get? Is there anyone out there who have the capucines in pearly colours? I see it is also available in wallets! I would love to hear your thoughts on wear & tear plus maintenance of the leather! Thanks in advance

I know it might be an unpopular opinion but I’ve always loved the aesthetic of a beat up kelly and birkin, even on a lindy. I don’t appreciate a beat up bag in other bags and other brands though but with Hermès bags, I’ve always loved the look. In all honesty, I think a beat up look in a birkin or a kelly doesn’t make it less of a classic than it already is.


I am a proud owner of beat up Hermès bags and I think this is a good read for people who get anxious with carrying their Hermès bags in fear that they mess with its pristine condition.

Here’s my two most beat up bags, a kelly 32 in box and a lindy 34 in clemence with scratches, tears, splitting, rubbing, and popped stitches that I still wear regardless:

So I've been wanting a hobo shoulder bag. Does not need to be crossbody, really looking for something that fits nicely under the arm. It should be able to fit over a coat, but not sit too low. Budget at absolute max is $2350, which is the cost of one whose look I like but will probably not get. Less is more, though, on the budget front so similar looks for less are especially welcome. However, I strongly prefer to buy new in this case rather than preloved. But here are 2 that I really like the look of. Notice in both cases the strap is not attached to the body with hardware, but is rather an extension of the body itself.

If money were no object, I would have bought the Gucci already, but it is an object, so that's why I'm hesitating. The Givenchy look is great, I think I might even like that one more, and it can stand up on its own which is awesome (Gucci cannot), but there is no true closure, not even a magnetic one like the Gucci; it's just the weight of the padlock. And even worse, there is not even one pocket inside the Givenchy.

There's this much more affordable Rebecca Minkoff that has similar structure, but lacks something. Just looks a little 'meh'.


There's this Dooney, which I like better than the RM, but which still isn't hitting quite right on how the strap relates to the main body; there's still more of a demarcation than I was looking for:


Also, even though I complained about the Givenchy having no true closure, both the RM and the D&B closures look more fiddly than I'd like. Zippers or magnets are my preference, maybe turn locks, but not actual clips things or hooks or something.

I am hoping I can get some advice on my next purchase. I have the vintage Alhambra MOP pendant and went into the boutique to try on a pair of earrings to match. When I got there I didn't quite like the earrings on me and thought a bracelet would be a better matching piece as I have the sweet pave earrings. They didn't have the MOP in stock but did have the chalcedony which was gorgeous. What do you think of wearing the chaledony bracelet with the MOP pendant? I am leaning toward the MOP as it is a match but I really liked the chaledony bracelet (and I also like that it is a less fragile). I read through many posts but I couldn't find any comments around putting these two together. The best answer is to get both but that is something I cannot do at this time.

Any advice?

Hi! Does anyone have the BUCKET 16 BAG in smooth or grained calfskin? I'm a little surprised this bag isn't as popular.

I'm looking for something understated (no big logo or hardware), medium sized with good leather quality for a everyday 'nice/put together/professional' bag. I've looked at the Loewe puzzle but I think it's more on the casual side.
