Hi everyone - hoping to get some quick input. I bought an onyx 5 motif bracelet but I don’t really love it. The more I look at it, it just looks like a black hole. It has no sheen and doesn’t feel like jewelry to me.

My initial thought was to get the white MoP but my SA recommended the onyx and I got a bit swayed lol. I do find the MoP beautiful but a bit boring compared to other colors. Plus I wear all black often.. I think I’m a bit tired of the color black in general.

I liked carnelian in photos but it just looked brown on me. I think I would have to search for a certain shad of red. I tried malachite - it was nice but I didn’t seriously consider it for a first bracelet because it’s so delicate. Now I’m thinking of going back and exchanging for either MoP or malachite or maybe carnelian. What do you think would be better? My most worn jewelry is mostly yellow. I currently have vintage mop earrings and love/juc in Yg.

New everyday bag.

Hello everyone. Can you beautiful ladies recommend an everyday bag? I’m presently using my lovely Pochette Métis reverse which I super love. My 2 issues with her are if the bag gets heavy or full, the strap can hurt your shoulder and you are somewhat obliged to fill up the PM just so you won’t have hard time closing the bag.

Im eyeing either the onthego pm reverse, speedy 20 (waiting for the damier ebene), Alma bb epi indigo or any suggestions please. TIA!

YG Cartier Ballon Bleu owners Help :)

I have the desire to add a yellow gold watch to my collection:blush: My current collection consists of the small Cartier panthere RG two-tone with diamonds (which was my first luxury timepiece and also has a special meaning behind its purchase) and Rolex datejust YG/SS two-tone with diamonds and MOP face, 31mm.

I love the panthere in YG... but I already have a panthere, I don't necessarily want two of the same model and I don't want to sell my current one either  so, the YG panthere isn't an option and I don't love the Tank... then, I started to think about the Ballon bleu in YG ??? I've always loved the ballon bleu style, and originally that was going to be my first timepiece, but I happened to fall more in love with the panthere when I went to the boutique to buy the ballon... last time I was at the boutique, I was drawn to the SS ballon, blue silvered face with diamonds, but maybe getting it in YG is the answer? I would do a 33 mm, btw.

I would love some feedback from YG ballon bleu owners!
Do you love it? Think it's fancier? How often do you wear it? Pros/cons/literally any feedback would be appreciated!

To add, I mix metals with my daily jewelry (as to why my other two watches are two-tone). I don't take off my YG Love and YG/diamond bangle, both worn on right hand (the attached pic was taken before I moved the Love to my other hand). I typically always wear my e-ring stack, which is platinum. Timepiece on my left arm. Then I have a RG tennis bracelet and RG juste en clou I will sometimes throw in the mix.

Missing The Good Old Prada Days

I was going through my closet this afternoon trying to decide which bag I wanted to use. I've got a ridiculous number of bags (not all Prada) and have gotten lazy about using them, so I'm trying to switch out more often. It sent me back 15+ years back to the "good old days" of Prada. They weren't cheap back then either, but much more reasonably priced compared to other major designers.

The one thing that I miss more than anything is that heady Prada new leather bag scent. It was unlike any of the other major designers, so much so I could easily pick out a Prada wearing blindfolds just by the scent. We old-timers know the quality was top notch compared to the new "assembly line" bags that Prada cranks out. But oh, that new Prada leather scent? Yummy! Even the leather wallets had that.

Yes, waxing nostalgic this afternoon. :girlsigh:

My small Chanel 22p dark pink (NG753) from local boutique looks off…

I recently received this bag and I loved it at first sight but upon close inspection I felt like the flap looked weird for this small compared to my black CF in small caviar .

Am I the only one who feels that way or does it look normal to you?. I love the colour so I don’t want to sell or return it (past return policy ). Given Chanel ‘s recent qualitt issues this most likely will be the only bag I buy from them in a long time.

Ever Thrown Out a Bag You Bought Online?

I recently purchased an LV bag from one of my favorite eBay sellers in Japan. I've owned a similar one with similar fabric and had no trouble putting it through the washing machine to clean it up. This one cost me about $400 and was somewhat used. I decided to hand wash it with Woolite in the sink rather than put it through the washing machine. I went to a lot of trouble washing it and rinsing it and squeezing it out. But at the end when I was holding it up to the light I could see something inside the lining which was turned inside out. It would be where the lining and the bag connect inside. There were bits of... stuff. Maybe it's the glue but it grossed me out so bad I just decided to throw the bag out. I guess I could have let it dry outside and then tried to resell it or something but just... Yuck.

I feel guilty wasting the money but I've just got to write this one off.

Why do you think the Wallet on Chain (WOC) is one of the most resold Chanel items?

I notice more users on this forum post a comment about reselling their WOC as they no longer want it. I sold mine because it was too small and I only realized it months after purchasing when I wore it out for the first time.

For others who didn’t sell it for this reason (or those who did), but no longer wanted to keep this in their collection, what were your reasons?

I do own a Small CF that I absolutely love and couldn’t imagine selling (I bought it after I bought my WOC and should’ve purchased this the first time instead.)

Would you alter the chain length on your medium classic flap?

Hi, I bought the medium classic flap in 2017 and never used one time, I think it’s because the leather chain being too short I just don’t feel comfortable wearing it no matter wear it single chain or double chain, so I would like to make the chain a little bit longer but also afraid it will lose it’s original look. What do you think?

Speedy B ... in Empriente!

Hello all you wonderful tPF peeps!

I need some input from anyone who has the Speedy B in empriente leather.

I've never been a Speedy person. Never had one. Never wanted one. However, the moment it was released in the empriente leather (more specifically, the cognac color) I have been OBSESSED and cannot get it out of my head! It's currently out of stock online, but I entered my email address to alert me when it becomes available. Until than ...

Anyone have this bag? Pros, cons?

Fusty Musty smell again

I have read all the threads I can find here on this. I have a mulberry bag in thick hide that has been stored for a while. I decided to get it out and it had a slight fusty smell on the leather. I then spent hours reading everything on here about this. So I thought I would try the soda first. I got a large plastic container and put a layer of soda on the bottom with a couple of paper towels over then the bag. Put on the lid and left for 24 hrs. When I took it out it smelled worse. I assume the soda has drawn the smell to the surface. I then realised I had used soda crystals instead of baking powder. The soda crystals are powder. Firstly I have made a big boo-boo here? The powder coming out of the tub smells extremely fusty. Shall I try again with baking soda? How much do you use and how long do you leave before changing the powder? If it takes a while it could be a costly remedy lol. Any advice gratefully received! Thanks

Help me decide! VCA vs Cartier

Hi everyone! Hope you are well. There are a few items I have been eyeing for sometime now. The VCA guilloche YG necklace, guilloche bracelet, the Cartier JUC YG bracelet w/o the diamonds. I understand they are all very different in style and both usage. But i currently only have budget for one and with the current price hike lurking around the corner, I'd like to acquire something now. For your reference, I do not generally wear necklaces or bracelets but want to get into the habit of it.

Here's a picture of me trying on the Guilloche necklace. What are your thoughts? Does it look too flash or can be worn everyday?

Any suggestions will me appreciated.

Which 10 motif

I am looking to get a 10 motif. I went to the boutique today and tried a few and I’m struggling to decide between MoP yellow gold, hammered yellow gold or possibly tiger eye. All of my current jewellery is YG (except for an old RG juste un clou which has basically faded to YG) so I would definitely want this however my SA didn’t have the hammered in YG but let me try a RG. I actually really liked the RG which was interesting as I always thought it didn’t suit me, but, there’s no way I can start my whole collection again!
My other VCA jewellery which I would consider wearing (although maybe not altogether) with the 10 is a YG perlee clover ring (original size), MoP 5 motif and hammered YG 5 motif.
Oh and I also tried on the perlee beads of gold bracelet which I did love but not sure I really really need another bracelet!
Any advice welcome!F47C5F40-C904-45BE-B94D-16A5F1DEC54E.jpeg0A5D9D8B-8A12-4B36-ACE1-973AD1B053B6.jpeg45D0EA45-7C3A-4E56-ACCC-D1DCCB9CD4A8.jpeg5DFCD6A8-F9E5-4007-886F-9D289E71D99F.jpegB4BA8193-1869-456A-8AD0-25E586186F40.jpeg

Purchased a Baguette, wanting to learn more!

Hi! I just purchased my first Fendi bag ever, a baguette in cowhide animal print. A bit wild, but that’s the whole point!!

Anyhow, I wanted to learn more about the bag. I was trying to do some research (google) and learn more about where the bags are made, if they’re handmade, quality to expect, etc. I couldn’t find much, but did find a nice video touring the peekaboo manufacturing process on YouTube.

TLDR: Does anyone know if baguettes are made by hand, where they’re made, and what quality is to be expected?
