Multi pouchette/bumbag?

Hi all,

I live a long way from a store so trying in person is not an option - does anyone know if you can clip the multi pouchette around the waist and wear like a bum bag to jog/walk? Anyone tried it? I like the look of the MP more but I guess the bumbag might be more practical. Or if you’ve got a much better option that you exercise with let me know please.

New lock pendant

Hi, I had been dealing with Tiffany’s for 6 months over a small lock with pink sapphires. I supposedly ordered the last small rose edition in the country that was coming from Asia. Then it wasn’t coming but they sent the new version with the different chain . I said I didn’t like the chain so I got all this runaround about they will custom make one . It will take 4 months . Then I received another one with the new chain. Sent back it was a mistake and wasn’t supposed to come but they are still going to custom make one . Got yet another one with the wrong chain in the mail again.called mistake when will mine be ready. The manager of the ca we were working with looks into it and pretty much said it’s not going to happen at all. She says she wants us happy. She offered fo us to keep the one that was mailed to me .i am over the whole thing disappointed and frustrated. This was supposed to be my 50th birthday gift .i am told my husband I don’t want to keep it . It was not what I wanted.i said the medium version has the chain but costs more and i really am unsure of the medium size . I ended up sending the other back again and had I medium version sent to look at . It arrived and I like the chain and the color of sapphires but still not sold on the size . I am a dainty necklace kind of girl can’t wear it daily like the small.i am still undecided. I can keep the medium if I choose and I get a discount for my inconvenience.i can also just send it back and find something else no discount.

Help me redesign my engagement ring! - be honest, you won't offend me!

I would love some input from the ladies here! After 10+ years with my ring, I finally got the courage to tell my husband that I’m not totally in love with the setting. He designed it custom with a jeweler, and honestly the ideas and concept are great, but the execution has just always felt off to me.

Details: it’s a gorgeous 1.24 ct cushion diamond, E color, VVS2 clarity. It has two 3x3 mm cushion side stones, set in a platinum channel band with 10 round diamonds.

What I love:
-The diamond is gorgeous
-I love the idea of a multistone ring, not just a simple solitaire.

What I don’t love:
- I feel like the diamond is set too low, it’s really hard to clean and the light doesn’t shine through enough
-don’t love the channel setting
- it just feels like the setting overall doesn’t complement the stones. Like they all compete with each other instead of work together to sparkle, if that makes sense?

I am all over the place on what I want. I thought about turning this into something else and getting a whole new lab diamond ring, since the cost will be comparable to re-set it, but I truly love my diamond and I still want to feel like it’s from him.

So basically, I’m looking for ways to “upgrade” my ring using my diamond (open to using my side diamonds too, or sourcing lab diamonds for the side stones)

I want the band to feel less clunky from a metal standpoint, but I am open to larger diamonds on the sides, so long as they sit lower than the center stone. Love the idea of a hidden halo or sparkle on the profile view.

I want classic with a modern update, style and sparkle. Not too dainty.

I’m also open to rose gold instead of platinum.

I don’t need to reuse my bands either, unless it all works out, but I don’t want to base the design on that.

Appreciate any inspiration and input! I’ll include some things I like below.

Sweet Alhambra bracelet - Help!

Hi everyone! I’m looking to add an every day bracelet to go with my small JUC and currently considering the hammered RG sweet Alhambra 6M bracelet vs WG diamond sweet Alhambra 6M bracelet. Currently my jewelry collection is small and consists of gold or rose gold pieces so it seems to make the most sense to go with the hammered RG (though I did notice it’s more pink than my RG JUC). However, I loved how the white gold looked with the diamonds but am not sure it’ll go with the rest of my jewelry. Would love everyone’s thoughts and help with this decision 🥹! (Ignore the frivole bracelet - it’s beautiful but seems less practical as an every day piece since it’s very 3D and appears prone to scratches)

METIS COATED CANVAS 2019... DULL

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my experience and see if anyone else has gone through something similar.

I recently purchased a 2019 Louis Vuitton Pochette Métis (Monogram Canvas). When I received it, I immediately noticed that the canvas looked muted, almost dull compared to my other Louis Vuitton pieces. I have an older Alma, and its canvas looks noticeably richer and more vibrant. The contrast between the two is pretty striking.

I did a lot of research and even reached out to some resellers and LV lovers, and I’ve seen people mention that certain years (around 2018–2019) sometimes had canvas batches that appeared more muted or less saturated. Some say it’s just the natural variation, others hint that quality may have slightly changed in those years.

Here’s a bit of background on how I got it:

It’s a 2019 Metis with the date code SD** (Made in USA)

I bought it preloved from a reputable reseller

Condition is excellent, but the canvas just doesn’t have that boldness I expected

I’ve even seen newer Métis bags in stores, and they seem richer in tone

Now I’m torn. I love the bag, but I can’t stop comparing it to the brighter canvas on my other pieces. I’m wondering:

Is this just a normal variation?

Did anyone else get a Métis that feels a little flat in color?

Does the canvas darken or patina over time like vachetta does? Or is this the "final" look?

I also thought about trying to brighten it up (gently, of course) but I don’t want to damage it.

Would love to hear from anyone who has had the same issue or who has kept a more muted canvas and grown to love it! ❤️

Thank you so much for reading!

Vintage Hermes Treasure

I have not posted in the Hermes thread in a long time. But this bag deserves some love.

History: I bought a similar bag in the 2000s in cognac goatskin. I absolutely loved it, but re-homed it when I was offered (and took) a 35CM Barenia Birkin.

For the past few years, I’ve culled much of my Birkin and Kelly collection. Among the bags I sold was a 30 CM Terra Cuite Ostrich Birkin. I was originally going to order another pale pink bag from Peter Nitz, but then went in a different direction with my bespoke order.

So that left a hole in my collection. I love a grown up pink.

Then I saw this from a Japanese reseller on eBay and took the plunge. This bag is just perfect. I love the exterior pocket. Rose Dragee is a controversial color, it changes in different lights, everything from pink to gray to tan.

The Peter Nitz terrazzo twilly brings out the pink tones.

help with chanel shoe

Did any of ya'll purchase these pearl slides from last year? I finally wore them for the first time and they were SO stiff and rubbed the skin off the top of my foot and left a scab.

My SA said to put mole skin on the shoe or take them to a cobbler to make the shoe less stiff? Do you all have recs on how to stop the top edge of the shoe from rubbing my skin off? I'm so sad - they're so cute and i bought them in black and pink.

thank you!

First Hermès decision: B25 gold-on-gold vs B30 gold-on-silver – need advice!

Hello everyone!
So I’ve been offered two options for my first Hermès bag:
  • Birkin 25, gold on gold
  • Birkin 30, gold on silver
I’m 5’11” and my dream was always a B30 gold on gold, but now I’m torn. My first impulse was the 25 because it’s super chic and I don’t carry much, but being tall I worry it might look too small on me. Plus, I’ve always been more drawn to gold hardware.

What do you all think? Thank you so much!

Duty free shopping Mexico City

So currently in Mexico City and purchased goods at the department store El Palacio de Hierro Polanco where they have a duty free office. They processed my purchase which required my receipts, credit card used, contact info, passport and flight info. They gave me a form with my expected refund summary. I asked them twice, but they mentioned I don’t need to get a stamp from customs before I leave back to US.

I AM JUST WANTING TO MAKE SURE I do everything right to get my vat refund. Has anyone had to do this recently and can share their experience?

Loro Piana lost padlock on Loom bag

I recently purchased the Loro Piana Loom 25 canvas bag and love it. However just 2 months after using it I've somehow managed to lose the gold padlock. Now my bag feels incomplete without it.
I purchased the bag while traveling in Paris. I tried emailing corporate, they referred me to my local store, which is Beverly Hills, and they pretty much said there is nothing they can offer, they don't sell replacements or offer any options.
Has anyone encountered this issue before? any suggestions? Link to bag below...

Seeking Info on Isabella Fiore Zodiac Collection(s)

Hi everyone. I’m hoping to connect with fellow vintage purse lovers who are familiar with the brand Isabella Fiore, particularly from its horoscope/astrology/lily collection (I've seen the same things called multiple names so I'm not exactly sure what it is).

I’ve been on the hunt for more information, and ideally photos, of its bags, wallets, wristlets, and keychains, as well as any other items from the lines that I may not be aware of but you may know about. I've even seen printed leather sheets of one of the zodiac tattoos that you could frame if anyone would know about that, but I don't know if it was only done for one sign as I never saw it for any other sign.

I have an album of all my findings and the things I wish to buy from the collection. Since the brand was discontinued and is over 20 years old, it's not easy to find much online about the full lineup or release details, so if anyone owns one of these bags (or even any of the items I listed earlier), remembers the collection, or has old lookbooks, catalogs, or even store memories, I'd love to hear from you! Please feel free to share pictures, names of the bags, descriptions, or any background you have. Even if you just remember them being sold or advertised, that would be helpful too.

The zodiac sign I'm looking for in full is Scorpio and it's been easier to find those in the traditional tattoo style rather than the Celeste fairy horoscope tattoo style. Does anyone have the whole collection or a majority of it in their zodiac sign? That would also be a great resource.

I'd also like to know what was the quantity that these lines were sold in (From what I've seen from other bags of the brand, I think this line produced 250-300) and if any items and products were only sold in a number of signs instead of all 12 signs. Sounds irrelevant but I don't want to spend so much time looking for something only to find out it was never produced in the Scorpio tattoo in the first place, so it would be relevant to me.

I know it seems like a lot but I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me with this, thank you in advance. <3

Has anyone stopped buying smaller H bags ?

I'm been eyeing to add another H bag this year and can't decide which size. I know Paris has been pushing bigger bags at fashion shows. Additionally, I'm seeing lots of inventory at Fashionphile and Realreal on smaller bags like Evelyne TPM 18 and Halzan 22. Even Constance 18s are not selling like hot cakes.

While I want a bag that fits my daily needs regardless of trends, nevertheless I don't want something that would be outdated with low resale value and market.

My questions for the groups are:

1) Are you still buying smaller bags ? or have you let go of them and moved to something bigger ?
2) Is the state of the economy stalling you from spending luxury like you used to ?

For me, I just retired and it's right to be cautious before splurging on the next bag. More importantly to me is how functional the bag would be. Currently, my daily bag is the Double sens and it fits the casual vibe and shopping needs.

Would love to hear everyone's POV.

Omega introduces 30 mm Aqua Terra Automatic!

There doesn't seem to be a dedicated Omega watch thread so I'm creating this about the new Aqua Terras. But if there's interest in a general Omega watch thread, maybe this can be collapsed into it down the road...

Omega just launched a new smaller automatic movement to create a ladies 30 mm version of its iconic Seamaster Aqua Terra (though I'm not enough of an afficienado to know how this is different from their 29 mm automatic Constellations but anyhoo lol)! I've always loved the Aqua Terra line but the smallest option previously was 34 mm. Also small watches are having a "moment" with even men wearing them, though Omega is clearly marketing this new line just for women. Which I think is great because there are so few automatic watches made to suit women and subsequently I think most women don't have an opportunity to learn about or appreciate mechanical timepieces.

What do you think about this new line? Does anyone have an Omega? Here is some eye candy - all the new model variations and what it looks like on the wrist. Imho, it's a gorgeous classic sporty perfect-for-everyday watch!
