that was fast
guess maybe it was a starter marriage

we have no idea what went wrong of course but she posted a rather cryptic meme on her IG.

“Mood,” Kravitz wrote over a meme of an image of a drag queen dumping a bag of trash into a dumpster, per Us Weekly. The trash bag was labeled, “People, places, and things that no longer serve my greatest and highest good.”

and he had posted something on on his IG about their anniversary "being 1 year but not the year. Not the year we expected" but he felt that if they could make it through that they could make it through anything.

I always wonder about very short marriages. did something dramatic happen? or she just wasn't happy? my question is always why get married? if it's not for the reasons it used to be - having a family, staying together for better or worse - then why not just live together?
guess I'm old

I agree. Why bother getting married if you’re not going to stick with it.

And if a couple is used to being apart due to work, having to stay home together during a pandemic is a big adjustment.

which makes me think they really did not know/like each other as well as they thought. but then what did they expect to do when married - or did they not think they would be in each other's presence that much! :confused1::hrmm:

Oh yeah .. sadly, I had more than a few friends that wanted the BIG wedding, but none of the marriages lasted even 1 year! To me, a HUGE waste of $$$!
ITA. Especially with divorce rates of 50%+? Just throw a big party! My friend gave her two children two options: I'll pay for your wedding or for a down payment on your house. Both kids went with small destination weddings and opted for the down payment. Smart, IMO!
