Hi guys. So I was wonder if the leather of the postina bag will get softer as you wear it? I have the woven texture leather one and I feel the leather is a little to stiff for my like..,. Haven’t really wear it a lot

Hi! So I’m new to the forum but I’ve been a “lurker” for years and I’ve enjoyed reading so much stuff...I just adore Postinas and live in Milan, and I recently managed to find a really good deal on a preloved leather pale beige Postina M (I’m not sure about the official name of the color, as it’s from a few years ago). The lady I got it from basically never used it due to the color and having two small kids, so it has no signs of wear. I don’t really think that there’s the risk of fake Zanellato’s that much as it’s such a small brand, but I was inspecting it closely today and noticed that my metal closures are not marked on the back/inside, whereas a friend of mine’s has Postina engraved on the metal. Hers also has Zanellato engraved on the shoulder strap clasp, but mine doesn’t. Everything else checks out (leather code on the inside, Zanellato small metal plate on the inside, filigree stud on the side, zanellato stamp on the back of the bag), so I’m thinking these changes were introduced more recently. Can anyone tell me if their bags have these markings that mine doesn’t have? I’ll post pictures of mine soon :)

I think it also depends on the leather, mine is a daily and it’s really soft. My sister has a different one (still leather but not woven) and it’s stiffer, but it has softened with use over time.

Welcome, Liraelfae!
I have just had a look at my Postina.
Postina is engraved on the back of the metal closure but I saw nothing on the shoulder clasp and there is no Zanellato stamp on the back of the bag.
My bag is about three years old.
Maybe things are different from one season to the other.
There are quite a lot of fakes though. I just saw one two days ago, it was carried by one of my friends' friend. She told me she had bought it in San Remo, knew it was fake and didn't care.
But don't panic! Mine is different from your friend and yet they are both genuine.
