In 3/4 seasons, I'm usually either wearing dark blue denim or a dark blue blazer,
Hi Four tails, this is my wardrobe of choice normally too! (dark navy denim and a collection of boucle navy blue blazers). For about fifteen years, I refused to wear a blue bag same logic, but now suddenly this year, I’m changed my mind and it looks chic! I like it marginally better with black jeans or dark charcoal gray jeans, navy blazer, navy bag though)

I love big clutches for day, but they are not exactly practical for me

I hate carrying bigger bags. My mom turned me off of them when I was a kid. She could never find anything in her bag and would always panic and say 'I lost my keys!', 'I lost my wallet!' 'I lost my checkbook!'. Well, I freaking lost my MIND! It was so annoying that I still dislike carrying big bags to this day. I also find them way too large on my petite frame. And my mom STILL loses everything in her bag Also, she carries a ton of stuff she never needs in her bag...one of the reasons she can never find anything in her bag. I ask her 'Mom, when was the last time you actually used 'Item A' and her response is always 'Well, I don't remember but I might need it someday'. I refuse to carry anything I don't actually need so I don't carry much at all. I have an Iphone 11 (but I prefer to carry that in my pocket if I have a pocket as I can access it more quickly), an LV card holder, LV 6 key holder, lipstick, hand sanitizer, and if room allows a mini wallet (usually the Fendi Mini Trifold wallet). The only time I carry larger bags is for travel purposes (on an airplane, etc).
My mom was the same way and I always opt for smaller bags because of that plus big bags look bigger against my petite frame also! Do you have bag recommendations that worked for you?

I haven't carried a large bag since I had my son 10 years ago. When I no longer had to carry around his diapers, a change of clothes, his bottles, his toys, I have been carrying nothing but smaller bags. I learned how to streamline the crap I carried in order to carry all his crap.

I hear you! My mom was exactly the same. Her bags were so heavy too! I love the Fendi Spy bag, and when that was the "it" bag I could only buy myself the hobo version because that huge bag reminded me of my mom's weighed down, shoulder killing bag!

ETA, my most regretful purchase was a Coach light taupe suede satchel  That bag attracted so much dirt.

A preloved Furla Metropolis satchel. I had seen tons of pics of this bag and loved it. I managed to do some negotiating and got one that was perfect except for no detachable strap ( which I never use anyway) and some minor rubbing/scratching on the front lock plate for $50. I was soooo excited! Beautiful looking bag, great bright navy color, but the leather was flimsier than I expected with as structured as it is and the way the handles nestle into the flap turned out to be a pain because they would catch every time you went to close it unless you stopped what you were doing and pulled them through and down. I wore it one time for two days and found that to be annoying. So I listed it on eBay. It took about 6 months, but I finally sold it for $135. Not bad in the end, but not my intention when I bought it.

I’ve had to think hard about this one because I guess for the most part I do a lot of research with my bags. I’m also the type to mull it over if I make an impulse purchase. I let the bag sit at home unused until I decide to keep or return. I would say in the earlier days when I started buying designer handbags is when I made poor choices for myself. The first one that comes to mind is my speedy 30. It was the IT bag at the time, and I didn’t even consider looking at their other LV styles. The shape and size made it so hard to use. It was too bulky. My second is a Prada pink wallet on strap. The color did not work for me, and I felt juvenile wearing the bag. Oh well, we live and learn!

Some favorites include the Mini Fendi By The Way bag, Toy YSL Loulou bag, Chloe Mini Marcie Saddlebag, Chloe Mini Marcie Satchel bag, Chloe Nano Hayley, Balenciaga Mini City, Coach Dinky bag, LV Alma BB.

My Gucci Marmont camera bags. I like camera bags and I thought the GG's had a 70's vibe, which I gravitate towards. When they first came out I bought three of them in the span of three months. I didn't realize the Marmont line would become such a thing. I try to avoid trendy bags because they end up looking dated later and there is an over saturation. I don't really sell my bags, so I will just hold on to these and maybe I will carry them in 15 years when they haven't been around for awhile.

Also my Chanel Beauty Fold Over Clutch in black patent leather. It was the first Chanel bag I bought. I bought it because it was one of the least expensive bags in the store and I was easing myself in to spending thousands on a bag. I don't use clutches. It was the biggest waste of money. I have never used it. With the price increases I figure I might as well hang on to it in case I do decide to become a clutch person...although I probably won't become one.

Fendi WOC with the monster face!!! I still don’t know why I bought that bag!!it was an impulsive buy!! I saw someone like 20 years old wearing the same bag! I was like why did I buy it!! I know that one can rock a bag in any age but still I felt like a kid!!! Now I can’t even sell it! Because nobody wants it!!

I'm old but I would have gotten the shoes with the monster faces if they had fit me.
