I'm just a beginner at this, having just bought my first Bbag.

The bf of course thinks it's insane at my spending so much moolah on a bag, but he hasn't said anything negative, and he also offered to get it for me, which was really sweet, but I didn't let him.

So as a compromise, he's made me promise that I'll pick out a new wallet for him to buy me as a belated birthday pressie! (cos my pink Valentino wallet has def seen better days :shame: )

I've made my choice, so I'm gonna be getting a new Bottega Veneta wallet really soon!

My bf's a sweetie, and doesn't mind spoiling me when I'll let him. But then prolly cos I'm only so new to this, and he doesn't know what a slippery slope this is :graucho:

Its funny, how I will walk into a room and catch him surfing the PF. LOL
He has to at least pretend he's angry when he's not just to keep me in line.
(but thats what he thinks, hee-hee)

Mine has learned to accept the handbag addiction and is very supportive of it  but seems to have a difficult time with the purse forum LOL... when I was new to TPF, I used to bring my laptop into another room to hide:sneaky: :ninja: Now, I dont bother:devil:

Mine gets a little cranky when I am complaining about having to stay up late working and he walks up behind me & sees tPF on the screen:sad:

My husband thinks it is OK to buy LV, he feels that is the best quality and I think he bought me my first one about 20 years ago for a birthday or anniversary gift. He is not impressed with my Fendi or Chanel bag but thought my leather Phoebe bag is great (and I don't like it or wear it-too heavy for me). So I think if I buy LV he has no problem because he feels they last forever and he thinks other designers are a waste of money. He is pretty good about me buying bags for special occassions. He really is a sweetie.

My husband looked at my handbags in our bedroom the other day and said "so, how much do you think they're all worth?" I said, "dunno. Not as much as I'd like.." He shot me a look and I said "kidding!":shame: (Not.)

My fiance is wonderful. He will shop for bags with me and give his honest opinion about what he likes and doesn't like, which is helpful because only one of my female friends understands, and she lives a long way away. He has a lot of respect for LV because of the quality, and he thinks my Fendi baby Spy is a work of art. I think secretly he thinks they are all way too expensive (well OK, so do I) but he never complains about the prices. Of course, I'm spending my paycheck and not his, but I've had BFs in the past who would ***** incessantly about how I spend my $$. That's why they are EXes, of course!

My fiance has admitted that he doesn't mind my purse habit, primarily because it means I won't complain about what he spends on his toys! And he's right. :graucho: He also says he thinks it's good that I have a hobby that I enjoy. Yep, I'm keeping him...

My husband is okay with the purse buying, but he thinks and wonders how many purses does a girl need. I have a lot of mid price purses. Mind you, I haven't bought any really expensive purses over the $1000 range. For my birthday we went purse shopping and went to the NM and LV store. Hubby was really into the construction of a purse esp at LV. Being an engineer he appreciated the quality of it. He said to me and the SA, he thought that the LV purse was like the SNAP ON tools of purses. And he only owns snap on tools, so anyhow, I didn't buy one because I couldnt decide. Since that trip he appreciates the construction and quality of some designer purses, like the spy and lv, but I'd I still feel guilty spending so much on a purse yet. I just bought myself a boktier purse last week that he liked. It was like diamond shopping in educating the man... . My husband knows how much and the technical details on diamond shopping; now he knows what nice purses are priced like.

He is confused about it.....

He likes that fact that I carry them and adore them...but when he sometimes has one of those bad days...he complains and says no more...

Then we go back to square one again...I buy something then he says its nice then comes one of those days....ughhhhhhh:rolleyes:

But its my thing...he has his..I feel no guilt (most of the time...:shame: )

my boyfriend doesn't think i need anymore designer bags yet he's a designer junkie like me!!! he's SHOE obsessed mostly. i just got him these gucci sneakers for his bday this year. i think his faves are prada shoes since he has the most of those.

and for my birthday he got me Dior earrings, necklace, and bracelet... so we're pretty much on the same page! and we love to shop together. he understands the true value of a great accessories!!

My bf hates it, even though he has bought some for me as gifts before! He thinks I have waaaay too many, & that they are not worth it.

He says they make me look out of place in the office, because no one else flaunts that stuff.

my bf supports it! he buys me some, and i said when we get (married) he has to shower me with hermes instead of rice, or flowers, and he didnt say anything (i hope it means yes)

Alot of eye rolling  and huffing  but he bought the all platinum Rolex so he didn't complain .. until I snuck in the Fringe Speedy that is  . Now I can't buy another bag till '07
