A dear fellow TPFer asked me to post this :flowers:
So the story behind this installation is that I style and produce H scarf photoshoots from time to time and my friends donated some of their ruined scarves for me to use in these photoshoots. So while I was cutting the scarves to turn them into smth else I thought they would look interesting as a puzzle on the wall. And this is the result

Those are beautiful! I’ve been wanting to display a scarf as art. What is everyone’s opinion on framing vs stretching (like in store...they sell a scarf hanging kit that pulls from each corner)?

My experience on framing vs stretching is that framing is more permanent, there are techniques that allow you to attach the scarf without damaging it a lot (like sowing it on to the canvas) but you won’t be able to take it out easily. The plus side is that you can protect the scarf from UV damage by selecting good frame glass. The H scarf hanging system’s major advantage is that you you can easily change the scarf in the installation without damaging it but it will get UV damage if you leave one scarf hanging for a long time especially in a sunny climate.

Good thought! I’m thinking next to a window or in a darker spot would be ok. Am planning to put a few lights behind it as well to brighten it up.
