Ok, hopefully last Grail. Found this ( les toits de Paris) while searching for the rendezvous rive gauche.
This CW is fun and so fresh looking! Sisters on this, I have a rust colored version.

Congratulations TGG! Let that be a lesson to you. Seize your grails before they become a bear to hunt down. I love this scarf and hope that you will get a lot of use from it as well.
I resisted this one half a year ago and regret it ever since. I would put it up on the wall to have a window to another world.
scarf1, we have very similar taste, are twins on some scarves and you own some I would like to have as well.

Hmm, does anyone know the feeling of being underwhelmed or feeling empty when a long awaited grail is finally here?
I was hunting for "De la mer au ciel" in the blue CW for more than a year. Online and offline.
When I finally got the mail that there really is one for me my jaw dropped down to my desk.
Then it took several weeks to arrive. When I opened the parcel my hands were shaking because I could not believe it, was scared that there might have been a wrong scarf in it. But it was the right one.
It is as beautiful as expected, has a very "watery" vibe.
Thanks a lot to each and every one who contacted me when they saw one, this community is AWESOME!
BUT:
I have not worn it since I got it. Did not even play around with it very much as I did with all the others as soon as a I brought them home.
It somehow lacks "oomph" or "pizazz" as some of you put it. Maybe it just has to marinate a bit in the box, it's time will come.
And I had this exciting routine after work to unwind: In my browser there is a bookmark folder with "hermes second hand"-sites that I checked every day to look for it. Now that I have the grail I still do that but it is not as exciting any more. But still tempting, because every now and then there are other nice designs. Collateral damage...
I can not even provide a mod shot, only one flat on the table (BTW: my table is exactly 90x90 cm)

Congrats HoneyLocks! De la Mer au Ciel is an awesome design.
It is such a great feeling of relief to find a grail but there is always another unicorn on the list. It never ends and I guess that is part of the fun. I stalk the secondhand sites too, hoping some of my favorites show up at a reasonable price.

Regarding the theory that finding your grails slows down your scarf purchases: it is absolutely true. Last year I was buying fast and furiously. DH was a bit in a panic a bit amused by the number of packages arriving from around the world. Once I found all if my grails my buying dropped dramatically. In the past 5 months I have bought only one gavroche online. And I rehomed 5-6 scarves that I felt I didn't need. I still look at eBay or other sites if I'm bored but I'm not tempted as much to buy other things. I feel like the addiction was cured. For now. [emoji23]

It's stunning, HoneyLocks. But I totally understand what you meant. I talked about this ELeK a while back about how it came with some blemishes that allowed me to wear it without fear of damaging it. Other than the blemishes, I was quite unimpressed with it when I received it. Although the scarf itself is very pretty, it really is not the best cw for me. I was unhappy with that purchase for quite a while until one day I photographed it when I was using it to try out new knots. It somehow photographs quite well but still is not my favorite in the mirror. So it remains my most used and care-free scarf, and I don't care too much about how it looks in the mirror. I actually bought more ELeKs after this one with CWs that I think fit me better (in the mirror), but still, I use this particular cw way more than the other ones.
Your de la Mer au Ciel is so vibrant and beautiful on my screen. Maybe try taking photos of it on you and see if it'll reveal its true beauty that way? And since I just recently hung up my Christophe Columb decouvre l'Amerique (it's symbolic for me), if using the scarf as a piece of wall art is also an option for you, I can see your dLMaC making a good one. It's the HG, of course it deserves a unique spot for it. I would enjoy admiring my HG on my wall every day.
