I think so. Some colorways go for more than others. I'm not sure if this is one of the most coveted colorways so perhaps it's a tad high.

This seller's prices are usually on the "normal" side, though I agree with Pocketbook Pup that it might be a tad high.

I bought that scarf new in black and gold. It was probably when the price was close to $500, so it may not be a bad price. I purchased it in a different color way and my SA called to tell me she thought I might like the black one better. I do. It is printed on black silk so there is nothing on the back.

I would still try to find other deals out there or ask the seller if she might entertain an offer.

beeble.

I've been stalking this one as well , the orange colour way is so beautiful and easy to wear .I don't find the price to be unrealistic , the design is so collectible all colour ways go for way over retail.
My first Pegase is on its way ,so your post was resonant for me .
I didn't appreciate the design at the time of issue ,but it's been my secret Grail for a year or so now . I love the simplicity of the design and the way it ties.
I 'd be happy with three or four of the colours but found my ultra grail first.:D

Thank you all for your input. I'm still mulling. Balto Bag Lady, black and gold Pegase! Now that sounds beautiful!! I would love to see a mod shot if possible [emoji7]

So my ELenK hasn't reached me yet but I'm already eyeing another scarf that the seller has for sale. (Gosh, once I start its impossible to stop!)

https://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/222122947139

Can ladies/gents here tell me if this price is the norm for Pegase D'Hermes?

The color is NOT orange, but Terracotta, as named by Hermes. It has muted brown in it. I bought it, but returned and changed it with the Red one, because the terracotta color was difficult to wear on my skin tone. I notice the seller is often wrong with colorway or the name of the designer, and it can be misleading.
If you google colorway 06 of Pegase d'Hermes scarf, you'll find more info or reference on this scarf. Poupishop also has one right now (cheaper at their shop than on ebay).

I respectfully beg to differ, ms.kim. Framboise 4055, selling on ebay for 11 years is not "often wrong with colorway or the name of the designer". She is one of the most knowledgable and reputable sellers of Hermes scarves and shawls on the bay. Even the most reputable/knowledgable of sellers might inadvertently misname a colourway/designer once in a great while.

She listed Les Poulains by Dallet (wrong, it's by X de Poret), her just sold ELEK she listed as bleu/bois de rose/acier (wrong, it's cw 08 sepia/cobalt/corail), the Pegase d'Hermes is Terracotta, not Orange (two different colors to me and Hermes), and recently she was wrong about the designer (including one she claimed to be Kermit Oliver's). I know because I pay attention to listing details. It's ok to make mistakes, maybe, but for the price of her scarves, as potential buyer and as H scarves fanatic, I really expect more accuracy. It also gives me more confidence in a seller when they're accurate.
JMHO and I respect your opinion and others. Thank you.

Here are my 2 and a few thoughts.

The black (and the white, Beige Dore ('rust') pale blue and the original pale pink) have a very elegant line only drawing. Perfect for evening or not overwhelming and outfit where the scarf needs to be 'quieter'. I often where the black/gold as an evening bolero over an LBD. The lines make the overall pattern a more holistic pattern. It's also one of those really cool asymmetrical designs.

The gold (officially 'Mutard' but decidedly gold as any gold can be) is a good example of the more flamboyant cws. Some have multi-tonal and others multicolour 'painted' wings. In addition there have been 2 subsequent variations that were special editions (strong pink wings on a pale pink background and shades of brown wings on a pale grey-silver background - obviously my descriptions are not official colours). These versions are louder (but not to recent season's standards) and the wings are very feathery tied (for want of better words). The wings occupy centre stage very strongly - even more so in the multicolours.

I also have this CR design on 2 change trays both white and gold, that design also comes in white/dark red lines

Of the many variations of these I think the terracotta is one of the most easy to wear (if the cw suits) and will translate very easily from the most casual jeans/shorts by day to fine jewellery evening attire. Though a potentially great cw for me, I'm not sure it will suit everyone, so make sure you're a terracotta person :D coz it's def a proper terracotta.

My HG of CR's Pd'H are one of the Le Pegase Lumiere Shawls. A mousseline shawl with the wings shimmering in tiny hand-sewn sequins and glass beads. I think it came in 2 cws, the one below and white. I think there is more chance of me becoming president of the USA than owning one but I can dream :D No scarf seems to be more worthy of the term HG than this creation. New, the shawl cost $5850

Thank you for your explanation of the colorways. Yours are beautiful. And very wearable. And about the presidency, you never know. Stranger things have (are?) happening. [emoji23]

I own the black Pegase. It is brilliant with a white blouse and black pants. I have never worn any 90 twill for a formal or semi-formal occasion. I save my mousselines for those outfits. I have a beaded "poncho" in mousseline, in a changeant bottle green (my color description, not Hermes') and it is beaded in the bolduc pattern, which I adore. It is all done in bugle beads. And, I am scared to wear it, it is so dear. I have others that don't worry me as much.

I'm swooning Papertiger ! We talked about this design the other day and not long afterwards I nabbed one : but patience is a virtue with consignment stores and so is taking disappointment on the chin.Looks like the seller isn't posting the Pegase which is a pain and means they have second thoughts.
Now I have 2 new Grail colour ways , and wow I can totally see you looking amazing in that doubleP bolero….:loveeyes::loveeyes::loveeyes:

Oh noooo  I wish people would have second thoughts before they do the %*m! sale :pout: Fingers crossed it's just an impromptu holiday or something

I can't imagine why H haven't brought this 2011 design. Surely we're due a Peg d'H reincarnation of (regular) mousselines and/or CSGM :graucho: Far more commercially viable than a multitude of mash-ups I would have thought

Oh, the images you're painting are grabbing me : black and white outfit with black Pegase:heart: and then a beaded moody green mousseline poncho ...

Somewhat at variance with your erstwhile self portrait of elderly stay-at-home !!!!

Thank you for the detailed explanation, papertiger. Upon seeing your CWs, I decided to wait. I think I will pounce on that black and gold one if I see it. That Lumiere Shawl is just breathtaking. And the price too [emoji23]
