You are so wise perfumegirl01 and show so much maturity and patience when it comes to these scarves. Perhaps I should take a page from you and not freak out everytime I see a pretty scarf. I swear I have a physiological reaction or something. A rush of endorphins and then constant debate in my head with little angels and devils. I am hopeless

It's gorgeous, no question. PbP spied it last night and was thinking about it I think. But she's decided she'd like to have ours more! We're inspirational! ;)

I'll be watching this with great interest to see if it happens perfumegirl01. I hope so. This isn't the only design that keeps creeping up and up. I'm glad I got anthracite Phoenix when I did, because now it averages $150 to $200 more, and don't even get me started on C'est la Fete....

My thinking on buying from the secondary market is that Hermes makes so many beautiful scarves that I never need to pay $800 for a 90cm. I can walk into the store and find patterns and colors just as beautiful, if not more, that will become classics in their own right in the future. The value is just not there for me, though I can understand if someone has deep pockets and MUST have a scarf. Consequently, I have gotten ELEK, Beloved India, C'est La Fete, as well as many others for ~$300 to 500, frequently new with store tag still on, by waiting and buying quietly. And, like Seton mentioned earlier, I am one of those who are mums my grails because I don't really want a price escalation :nogood:

Thank you!

I noticed I'm not wearing my necklaces as much since I've started wearing a scarf almost everyday, and that simply will not do. So I tried my hand at both today. Glad you both think it worked!

I am kind of into "natural material" beads /necklaces with scarves - amber, horn, pearls - the colors are not too bright to compete with the scarf colors

Sterling is good too , mine is all vintage , so it does tarnish - it is not eternally shiny like the new stuff from Hermes, but to me the lack of shine is what I like

Yellow god - too shiny with scarves ?

I like :reading: about everyone's grails , wish I had some myself !

Well, it works with this scarf because my beads today are actually a vintage Kenneth Jay Lane and those are gold beads, not amber.

I'm tellin ya, it's the fuzzy picture. I'm so terrible with selfies. But! I have a goreous amber pendant of my mother's and am totally going to try it with scarves now!

Hermes Crown stole. At times like this, I would love red, white and blue patriotic scarf -- how can we convince H to do this?

Hermes echarpe, Couronnes or Crowns as it is also sometimes known by, was designed by Julia Abadie and first issued in 1969

You must be a real connoisseur and I'd love to see images of those two pieces, do you have any pictures to share?

Princess Caroline wore it yesterday. It's a Julie Abadie design from 1969. I have read that this scarf is called an opera stole which I didn't know H made. Yes, I would like to think of myself as a connoisseur, but I am not nearly as knowledgeable as our TPF experts. My collection only dates to the 80s.

I almost bought this but I decided to be good. For anyone else out there....ExLenK in a beautiful colorway. Not a great price but.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/301800014915?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Thank you for sharing this, MYH. The price is not bad at all for ELeK in this cw and the seller is a lovely scarfie here. Sometimes we forget about the 14% fees taken out from the listing price (for the bay and PP), not to mention currency exchange, roughly fees are about 20% total for a foreign sellers listing on US the bay.
For such a lovely design and grail colorway like this, one must think better to keep it for themselves than selling at a loss.
I think we must celebrate our grails, not afraid of price consequences by resellers, they can only try. Like somebody said it here before, it wouldn't be fun. So please please keep sharing outloud about our grails.

It's a lovely color way and a very good price. I have this bright color way below and it seems too similar to what I have. I'm looking for this second more subtle red blue color way. If anyone sees it. I know two just sold las month.

Interesting I never found the perfect ExLeKim cw for me even when they were available even though I liked the design. Same happened first time around for the MPhoenix then bought both cw at reissue and so Happy. Looking forward to a reissue of ExLeK when the cws are a bit more 'me". Total different story with ExLeCam, total 'no-brainer'
