Well it sounds like cheating to me at first listen.

But it is evilbay and if others do it, it may just be part of the game. If others are doing it, you're pretty much wasting your time if you don't. Of course I don't have any idea what program or how to do it.

It would definitely tick me off if it were done to me, though.

I started out on the forum looking for a scarf as a gift for my girlfriend, but after wading through hundreds of pages here, I think I want to get a scarf or two to hang on the wall of our condo!

So after looking at all of them, I've narrowed them down to these:

Passage a Tokyo
- all the coloursways are amazing, but I think the blue/green might be the nicest (image stolen from Kallie Girl posting) - also couldn't figure out what thread might have all of these - I've seen this one, blue, red, light blue, light red and black - which was quite stunning too!

There is a better picture here from a tods123 posting, but for some reason, the picture won't show up:
usa.hermes.com/webapp/wcs/stores/ConsumerDirectStorefrontAssetStore/images/catalog/product/scarves/item/default/002349s06.jpg

Instructions - I couldn't find a photo again, but it has a lot of drawings of how to fold a scarf - if anyone has a photo, if they could post it, that would be amazing!

La Tour Eiffel's Envole
- does anyone have images of what other colourways it comes in? (image stolen from Bex from razorbackbelle0 posting)

Paddock - I thought the brown colourway was particularly beautiful, but again, have only seen two or three colourways (image stolen from Rose posting).

Lettre de Napoleon a Murat - the story just looks so funny that I can't resist. Has anyone seen / have a picture of any other colourways? (picture stolen from CobaltBlu posting)

In any case, all of you are amazing in your dedication to Hermes - the sheer volume of posts here and the quick responses are amazing!

If anyone knows where I can get any of the above, it would be greatly appreciated - just e-mail me!! Thanks in advance!

You've got some tough one on your list! The "Instructions" is a grail for many a scarfie. The "Lettre" is a rare bird as well. I don't know about Paddock - but, I've seen the "Eiffle" scarf pretty frequently on EB. The "Tokyo" is fairly new and you might still find one in a store (I'd check the Neiman Marcus scarf counters and see if they've still got one lurking). It's also one to keep an eye out for on EB.

Good luck! You're going to enjoy the hunt!

Great grails....the Lettre also comes in a red and a green cw, IIRC, and a blue and white was recently on ebay, but the seller ended the listing early...perhaps you can contact the seller...they pop up on ebay once or twice a year....i grailed for mine and finally got it, so i hope you can too!!!!

Well, folks, I'm out of grails! Got my Pythagore a few months ago, and just received Gastronomie in black today. After a good dry cleaning, it will be ready to go! There are some patterns I'd like to own, but the "gotta have 'em" are gotten. Woo-hoo:yahoo:

Any updates on grails found??

Congratulations! :yahoo: It is so great to have found all your grails! Now you need a new one... :graucho: I love it when this thread gets bumped--such fun to share the thrill of the hunt with other scarfies.

There was a Grygkar Mosaique on eBay that ended a few days ago and went up to $520. :push: Way out of my price range, unfortunately, especially since I wasn't sure about the colorway. But I can be patient for that one. I am supposedly banned anyway (you can guess how that's working out...). Oh, if a red lotus twilly should come my way, I can probably afford that.

I've got a grail scarf that I've been looking for for a while with no luck. I'm looking for Axis Mundi detail (not the full print) in pretty much any colorway, as I have only ever seen one picture of this scarf and it was in a green colorway which I'm not totally in love with.

TIA!!!

Pretty sure I have seen this one on e*bay a couple times- keep your eyes open and check the scarf listings regularly, hopefully it will pop up!

Oh, "Les Amazones" - sigh, I've wanted it forever. Jean-Louis Dumas designed it, and I was sure they'd reissue it back in 2006 as part of the Year of Paris" theme, but . . . they didn't.

I've seen it come up on eBay maybe three times in the past six years and always at a ridiculous price.

Someday, someday.

Thanks! I do have axis mundi saved as a search for e-bay and have been looking for about two months, but no luck so far. But I know that one will show up sometime (probably when I least expect it).

One thing I find is that sometimes, sellers don't list the name in the listing, or they misspell it, or they use a different name, like "Dies et Hore" instead of "Astrologie." So you may want to check all of the "Hermes Scarf" listings, just in case the scarf you want is not correctly labelled. For some reason I feel like this happens a lot with AM but I could be mixing up scarves...
