Thank you all for the kind congratulations.

speedyqueen, I have the navy one, too! We're scarf sisters. :hugs: I think the jacquard looks like a "keyhole" pattern. I've heard it called the "ex libris" jacquard for some reason. I think this periwinkle one I finally found is from 1968.

There are also more recent printings of La Cle des Champs on the fireworks jacquard, and some are on plain (no jacquard) silk. Just FYI!

Oh, now that this thread is resurrected, I just want to say that now I got my grail scarf! :yahoo::yahoo:

Not the colorway from LailaT's reveal, though, but like the model's scarf below.

Now, I'm patiently saving for my grail shawl: orange Bolduc.

this is my grail scarf (image from LailaT's reveal):

Just because this is what this model is wearing (why is it so thick like that? and how does one knot it like that?) and there's nothing in my store:

thank you grail scarf fairy :yahoo:

in the autumn i managed to get hold of a cheval surprise in black on white but it had some mystery spots on it (not part of the design ones :p ) so i sent it to the dry cleaners. when it came back there was lots of weave slip and a couple of threads had been pulled with loops on the surface of the fabric :crybaby: :cursing: so i took it back and obviously they said "oh it must have been like that before" it wasn't so much the money as the fact that it's not exactly the easiest scarf to come by these days and i was prepared for another year or so of searching. but the next day a bnib one came up on ebay and i BINed faster than i ever have before, and it just arrived :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: this one is much better, it has a tiny weave slip but it's on the white part (on the other one orange has gone into white) and a little thread sticking out from under the edge but that's easy to snip off.

the dry cleaners are "investigating" what happened to my other one, but i'm not holding my breath for any admission of guilt  on the bright side, now i'll have one to frame and one i can wear without worrying about anything happening to it.

Well, it finally happened. The scarf bug bit me but good. Right now, I have no H scarves - only some twillys.

BUT after seeing MsPiggy's pic in the action thread, I have to say...I WANT THAT SCARF!!!

It's a Legende Moghole 90 cm silk carre. It's in taupes but I don't know the name of the colorway.

Must. Have.

I'm reviving a slightly old thread to reveal my Grail Scarf, found after three long years of searching and one near-miss. Sorry for the crappy photos.

Thanks for letting me share.

doreenjoy, that's really gorgeous -- I'd never seen it in blue before!

Mine's in pink (mostly): it's one of my oldest ones but very much a favorite, not just because of the design but also the jacquard. (You can click here for bigger versions if you want to see detail.)

For some reason I can't get the smaller image to display, but it's here:

The funny thing about it is that the birds aren't exactly real -- it's as if the artist had some British / European birds described to him and then jumbled bits of them together. :smile1:

Best! -- Diane

Wow.

I found the Legende Moghole already and have moved on to another one I am in love with: Fantaisie Pittoresque in the taupe color. It's on the H US site.

So was the Legende Moghole, thanks to Brennamom for pointing that out to me. At least the ones I am falling for first are readily available. LOL!

This is not good. Not good at ALL!
