My first LV Bag was the Greenwich GM in Damier Ébène almost 20 years ago. I walked by the Louis Vuitton store daily on my way to my very first job and I had fallen in love with the brand. I decided to save money and buy myself a carryon bag. The SA was very helpful (she still works at the same store actually!) and guided me in my choice. My mom was with me as well. I still have the bag but leave it in France. I use it when I m on vacation there for road trips. It has tremendous sentimental value.

My first LV Bag was the Pochette AS in the DE. I bought her from a women preloved for a fair price with invoice and everything. A friend of mine who started working @ LV bought her first and I fell in love with it! So I saved money from my traineeship and got the Pochette! After the pochette I saved again money and got the speedy 30 in the DE after six months. So I worked hard to get everything what I wanted and nothing changed

Around June of last year I began eyeing some LV Montsouris GM backpacks to use for school but could never find one that was in good enough condition for a good price. Earlier in the month I went on a class trip to Rome (my high school has a latin club) with my best friend and around the last night I had gotten a cosmetic pouch that was fake LV (not like it was trying to be LV with logos, but it had a variation of the monogram like the Chinese ebay bags do), I got it out of irony. I had shown my mom it around october and told her about the backpack I was eyeing. Little did I know she had a Montsouris GM from 2001 in the bottom of her closet that she once used as a baby bag but had not used it since, maybe 2007?. She gave it to me, and I've used it for class, for ISSMA trips (choir competitions), latin club activities, it's been there. I actually ripped the vachetta around one of the straps at the 2017 IJCL State Convention and now it's being held together by sewing pins (btw anyone know how to repair that? I got quoted a $400 repair for it and don't have that money!). I would never throw it out though, and I still plan to use it through my junior and senior years of HS, maybe even through college. It holds a special place in my heart.

My first bag was Neverfull MM DE, which I got when I was 26. I got it in 2013 in London, when I was there for a few days on the way back from a work trip. I had recently inherited some money from my grandmother and decided to designate some to buy the bag for myself. I had wanted one for a couple of years and knew I could get it for less in London. I was SO NERVOUS buying it - I had never spent that much on a bag and literally started shaking when I handed over my credit card. I am glad I got that as my first bag - it's such a good work bag and holds a ton! I had to get the handles replaced once (free because of a defect) but otherwise haven't had issues. Since then, I've bought a DE cles, mono mini-pochette, 2015 Christmas Animation Evasion Zippy (mono) and DA pochette, and most recently a Speedy B 25 in Mono and Clemence in Fuschia for my 30th birthday.

I can't remember what triggered it, but I remember being around 18 and deciding that one day (no matter how long it took) I would buy my very own Louis Vuitton Speedy. Fast forward almost 20 years and I was finally ready and able to grant my own wish a couple of weeks ago. After a lot of research I went for the Speedy B25 DE and the Zippy Wallet. Before I purchased my dream bag I hadn't even stepped foot in the LV store in Manchester as I had made up my mind that I wouldn't cross the threshold until I was ready to buy. Instead I would just drool as I walked past the window display, just to keep the dream alive  I was so nervous when I went into the store but the SA was so nice that I soon realised I had worried over nothing. Strangely, when I got home I realised I had been given a completely incorrect invoice, which related to somebody else's purchase in London! I was so upset and worried that my email and personal details may have been mistakenly given to somebody else and that I didn't have a correct invoice. I returned to the store the next day where the assistant manager couldn't have been more apologetic, instantly providing my correct invoice and (for my trouble) gave me a complimentary travel set of their perfume range! Needless to say I was completely overjoyed with the gesture and satisfied that LV had truly valued my custom and wanted to make sure I was happy. I can't believe after waiting soooo long that I finally have my dream bag. Worryingly (after such a positive experience) I don't think this will be my last purchase. I am officially hooked on LV  Thanks for letting me share!

Congrats on buying your dream bag!

What an amazing story!! Have you tried taking it to a local leather repair shop? It would be much cheaper and hopefully it could be repaired well enough so you can use it for years to come! Good luck!

I bought my first LV almost two weeks ago. I was always a Gucci girl but really liked the LV monogram. Ended up buying the Turenne PM in Harrods (London) and am now officially hooked! Saving up for my next LV buy which I think will be a leather number

Poppincourt Haut was also my first LV purchased in 2005 from LV Sloane Street, London. At the time I didn't really know much about vachetta and patina and just enjoyed using the bag. Two years later I bought my first damier ebene pieces. These were Damier Speedy 30, Saleya PM and de Pochette Accessoires. I have bought and sold many LV's over the years, but I still have my de Pochette.
Hi. How do you keep your zipper pull in good shape? Thanks

My first ever LV pieces were SLG's and LV hand-me-downs (pochette accessories, nano speedy, etc) from mom, but my first ever bag purchased was with my boyfriend - he bought it for my 24th birthday <3 it was the neverfull MM in monogram - he was the sweetest because he drove us to all the local LV stores to track down the item and was super patient and helpful when purchasing the bag ❤️ that is an experience I'll never forget because he made me feel super special and insisted I get the bag that will make me most happy!!

My very first piece was the Noe GM in Damier Azur. I was obsessing over this pattern for a while, and decided to get this bag as I like the bucket style. I wanted something that would be good value for money, hence the largest size.
I've not wore it outside yet which is a shame. I will do it one day, I promise!
I still remain on Team DA.

My first bag was the Monogramouflage Jasmine. It was so much money for me at the time and I was terrified to carry it and have it get damaged. So I sold it

Such a big regret. Yet for some reason every time I think of buying it again I don't pull the trigger.
