How did you decide what to buy?
Did you have your heart set on a designer? Or did you fall in love with a specific brand?

my first was a louis vuitton pochette i was 17 years old..i still own it and love it!

my first bag was from givenchy i dont have a pic cause i gave it away.. it was a present from mum i think it was back in 2002 or 2003!

I wouldn't consider it "designer" anymore but back then I did, so...

a kate spade sam. my grandparents gave me $100 for my high school graduation and I think the bag at the time cost $125. a couple of girls at my high school who's style I admired (read, I was jealous of them...) had the bag so as soon as I had this extra money and a special occasion reason to make a "luxury" purchase I drove myself over to nordstrom and bought it. it made me soooo happy and proud in a way that pretty much no purchases since have. I don't think buying something that costs $5k nowadays makes me feel as special as that purchase did.
